We had the 12" Carne (napolitana style) pizza. It had Italian elk sausage, hot capicola, red onion, mozzarella cheese, fresh sage on top of garlic tomato sauce. What makes this awesome pizza even better is that it's cooked in a stone hearth. This blisters the crust and gives it a delicious, toasty flavor and the thin crust has a crunchy texture under your chewy toppings. This was our second dinner. Probably the fattest thing I've ever done, but I am so glad we did it. I can't wait for our next trip to Jackson. We WILL be eating Pizzeria Caldera again. read more

Just called to go there. And the lady was super rude!! Im a mile away and she said she wouldn't hold a table for me. And she said she needed to see all the paperwork for my service dog!! Rude!! I said I will go elsewhere!! A holes. As an answer to the Owner: Obviously, you are taking a defiant position and not acknowledging the tone of her voice and her refusal to even welcome us to your establishment! I have been all over the world and I can clearly tell if someone is rude or if they are not! We chose to eat elsewhere and you lost out on our business...do nothing if you want and keep being in denial and you will be the one losing out. I took advantage of the YELP Deal and the CHECK IN Deal. For a measly $20, I got to feed 4 with awesome pizza, baked ziti and i got a free beer. I recommend 1. The Baked Ziti with Sausage. It was sooooooo good. Carb + Cheese + Beefy. 2. Bisonte pizza. Very savory. It is a casual and self service kinda place. So make yourself at home and get your own water and plates and napkins. In a sea of overpriced restaurants serving transient tourist, this place tries hard and does well. Unpretentious, simple and good food. Such a welcome sight in a touristy town. I hope this place does well and is still around when I come back to vacation in Jackson. read more

I am torn in giving them 3 stars. The pizza itself is 4 star. Good ingredients and prepared well. They lose marks for poor customer service. The shortcomings are easily fixable. I would give them a higher rating if you get your pizza to go. Here is where things broke down from a service perspective: The Hostess seemed completely overwhelmed. Even though there were tables open, she wasn't seating people who were standing and waiting. We saw several groups simply give up and walk out. Then the wait staff seemed to have tunnel vision Once we were seated, the staff rolled back and forth past us for almost 20 minutes before I literally grabbed one and asked for menus and waters. We ordered a pizza and the wine called out on the menu as being perfect with pizza. Our waiter took the order and said nothing. The pizza and wine arrived and though the pizza was good, the wine was on par with Boones Farm (2/bottle as opposed to the $29 I paid. Afterward one of the other staff came by and commented that she normally discourages customers from getting it and that no one even finishes the bottle if they do order it. So here is my advice. Stick with the beer and soft drinks, order the pizza to go. Walk across the street and eat it in the Town Square. read more

I'm sure this has delicious Italian food with great service but not tonight. After a long travel day in Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park my family was tired and ready to eat. We turned down one other pizzeria close by and decided to have dinner here. We were greeted and seated outside on the overlooking terrace. Several times two different servers passed us by and never took our drink order or asked us for our entree selection. After being passed a few more times we just got up and left - a little perturbed of being ignored. They greeted us as we walked out the door and I had to let them know they never even served us. Had the WORST experience there. WORST. Happened to be in Jackson Hole from out of town for just for an afternoon and made the mistake of going there. 1. Three tables that were seated after our party of 4 received their food before us, including a party of SEVEN who actually finished before we even got our food. 2. I asked one server to check on our order and she didn't come back to our table to tell us the status---and instead walked by us several times. 3. I then went and asked the cashier who took our order what was taking so long, and she said there were "issues with the order in the kitchen"---but hadn't even bothered to come let us know. She seemed to be surprised and annoyed that I was complaining, when we were waiting for almost an hour at that point. I could easily tell she wanted me to go away. 4. We waited longer, and when I went AGAIN to find out what the deal was, I was able to speak to who was presented as the manager. While talking to him, the cashier who took our order was actually turning her head and smirking. 5. The manager comped our entire meal and when we finally got the food, one of our party's mac-n-cheese was literally cold in the center in a hot dish (put in microwave oven)---the cheese on top hadn't even melted. (We didn't ask for our meal to be comped, we just wanted our food.) 6. When the same cashier who took our order came to our table again, I told her the mac n cheese was cold in the middle, and she literally tossed the refund slip on our table and said, "We already comped your meal, there's nothing else we can do for you." 7. Before leaving, I filled out the contact option on their website asking for a call re this. I haven't heard a response yet, which honestly doesn't surprise me. The worst of it was the cashier/waiter turning her head to the side and smirking and smiling at my complaint and frustration. I've worked in restaurants before as a server and have forgotten to fire a ticket, etc. It happens. But to act like that to a customer and make that customer feel like they are being a bother when they have a valid complaint---most places I know would fire you after that shift. The quality of the food didn't suit the price, but that's how it goes sometimes---and that's not the reason I wrote this review. It was the rudeness of the staff member. I actually signed up for Yelp today just to write this in hope someone doesn't have to sit through what we did. Seems like there are plenty of other great spots in a great town to try. read more

Amazing pizza! Perfectly cooked and crispy crust. Plus they have a little patio that overlooks downtown.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant had just opened for dinner service when we arrived and they were slammed. The manager calmly informed those of us waiting what to expect in terms of wait time, handed out water and menus. Very well done! The pizza was fantastic, sauce clearly homemade and oh so good. The restaurant is upstairs on Broadway St. I ordered the Margherita pizza and it was pretty darn good. The crust was thin and crispy. They use fresh ingredients. You can really taste it. Me and my family took a nice drive to Jackson. Wondered around and stumbled upon this pizzeria. Since the weather was nice we sat outside on the balacony, which was very nice. Only down fall was that it tight between tables. Our waiter was awesome, wish I remembered his name. Very friendly and professional. Smiled and made us feel very comfortable. We simply ordered the campo pizza and drinks. We kept it easy lol. The service was fast and our pizza was amazing! I must say the lemon zest added just the right taste! We haven't had a really good tasting pizza in a very long time and the campo pizza nailed it! We will stop by again and try different pizza's for sure. Not sure why this place is so highly rated. For a pizza by the slice place it was okay. A full serve yourself - including what felt like wiping down your own table. They had 3 wait/pizza making staff behind the counter - which I'm not sure why, there was no real service. It was really loud inside and when I ordered the person behind the counter was having trouble hearing me. I noticed he was grabbing the wrong slice of pizza and wanted to make sure that he heard me so I tried to correct him - he just seemed upset and wanted to tell me that what he heard is clearly what I said. Here's the deal... this is the best pizza I have ever had. Each slice takes you on a magical journey, the cheese is vibrant and has the perfect melty texture as it hits your taste buds, the pepperoni is greasy with the perfect amount of spice, and lastly the crust is perfectly crispy with a hint of sweetness as the cherry on top. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS PLACE! I have never been burned on a meal like this dump just did to me. I placed an online order because that is what their phone message said to do. Ordering online was a pain in the rear because you have to create an account with "chow now". Anyway, I made my order, paid online and drove to this pizza restaurant to pick up my 'to-go' order. When I went up to the counter, I had to wait nearly 5 minutes for the hostess to help me. When I gave her my name, she informed me that they cancelled online orders from chownow and refunded my money. She then said if I wanted to order in person, I could but my order would take almost an hour and be done at 9:00. The hell with that. pizzeria Caldera can kiss my arse. Im not sure why this place has 4 stars. It's decent pizza mind you, but Im not sure it is worth the price. I got the funghi pizza. I get this a lot of different places and this had to be the worst Ive had out. No flavor... Thank God for salt and their parmesan. I would have to say Trader Joe's truffle flatbread is better. Maybe if I ordered something else, I would have had a better experience? Service was mediocre, which is definitely a theme in seasonal towns. I can't recommend this place at all. read more
