I always get a chicken gyro, with everything, and extra tzatziki. I've never been disappointed & it's the best place to satisfy your gyro cravings. It's the closest you will get to an actual gyro from Greece in Philadelphia. They use proper gyro meat, rather than that weird shaved deli meat that so many Greek places sell. I also love how they put the fries in the wrap, rather than having to ask for it extra. Highly recommend! All the Yeeroh locations are awesome.

If you take a ride on the 101 Media trolley it is a beautiful experience and best of all there is a reward waiting for you at the end of the line. This is one of the finest restaurants that Media has to offer. Authentic Greek cuisine in the most wonderful tradition of fine spices and the freshest of ingredients. The place is warm and inviting with aromas that greet you. The moment you walk through the door. They have an extensive menu that is both delicious and healthy. Come on down and experience a culinary treat. If you are a musician or an artist you understand inspiration. The food here will certainly inspire anyone who is fortunate enough to experience such incredibly well prepared cuisine. Enjoy!

Awesome place to stop in for some delicious gyros. My husband and I stopped here right before our flight out of Philly and we were very happy with the food here. We both ordered gyros, greek salads, and a slice of the orange cake. Everything we ordered was so good. The gyros were delicious, and the orange cake was the best we ever tasted. We were the only ones there when we ordered our food, so it came out quick and efficient. The workers were also very friendly. A+ customer service. We would come back again if we ever return to Philadelphia.

The yeerohs we got here were delicious! Packed with food, an excellent amount for the price! I've missed tzaziki sauce and have been trying to find a greek place that offers more than just meat options. I loved the mushrooms! Feta fries were great and abundant. The service was good and our order for pickup was ready within 10minutes of calling in. I was disappointed to hear they changed their menu from select 5 adittional toppings to now only select 2. They seemed really confused when I referred to 5 option being shown on every yelp menu that people have posted. I wasn't impressed with the lemon potatoes.. pretty bland. And to be nitpicky I wished all the food was warmer upon opening.

We got the IOS chips, spanakopita, beef & lamb flatbread, hummus with pita, Greek salad, halloumi, and a dessert I unfortunately don't know the name of. Not a single bad dish, everything was excellent . I've had my fair share of tzatziki, and not to be dramatic but theirs is next level! Our waitress was also so sweet. She checked on us regularly even though it was a busy Saturday night, and she helped us pick our dessert. Unfortunately for me, I don't live in Philly, but I need to come back here asap.

Also they now stopped playing greek music....and the vibe is not the same. However this place is still rocking its desserts as long as it doesn't change them. We usually come for desserts and beer. Staff is okay, we have our two favorites from the old crew (they are super nice & work hard) But There is one person, however, that floats between this place and their sister location cross the street, and he has never been nice, although we are regulars and everyone else who is from the old crew knows us. We usually are easy, friendly, don't ask much, tip 20%, and leave fast. But this person, let me tell you....horrible attitude every single time. Usually we see him at the bar. Sad, because he may have spoiled it for us.....I hope it doesn't happen to others customers. Suggestion: come for dessert and beer & sit outside, probably your best bet. That's what we'll do from now on most likely.

This time around we ordered many menu items to share once again. I definitely recommend this method with the way this menu is written! Trying both meat and seafood dishes, we have come to the conclusion that Almyra seems to do better with seafood than meat dishes, though this is not to say the meat dishes are bad. For dessert, my brother got the Budino again and my dad got the Baklava. The Baklava was unfortunately dry and hard, so while this is a classic Greek dessert I would opt for another dessert here. The dessert was made special, however, complete with a "Happy Birthday" design on the plate and a sparkler for my dad. The service was once again excellent. Our waitress was very attentive, upbeat, and helpful. Lastly, having come in the winter last time the restaurant was busy, but slightly more toned down. On this summer Saturday night the restaurant was very loud, which made it hard to hear conversation. This is a small thing, but something to keep in mind if you are looking for a more intimate dinner! We will definitely be back to Almyra again! I recommend giving Almyra a try and don't forget to order the Horta!

Unfortunately, we didn't really like any of the food. We had the hummus, eggplant dip and haloumi to start. The hummus and eggplant were worse than what you get at the grocery store - just not good. Bland and weird texture. The halloumi was not bad but it was breaded so it tasted like a mozzarella stick. I'm used to having the halloumi with sear marks at nicer Middle East places. For our mains we had the steak skewer and chicken skewer. The chicken was ok but the steak was weirdly gamey. For desert we had baclava which I usually love but this was one of the worst I've ever had. No syrup at all and didn't even taste sweet - we did not finish it. As a family we…read morehave been coming here for parties and hosting dinners and events in the main area or in various private rooms downstairs for over 15 years. Last night we hosted a dinner of 10 people in the small wine room in the basement. It's a very cute room. It's perfect for a small group. Unfortunately that's where the perfect ends. Our server seem nice enough in the beginning, but couldn't really get it together to be around to make sure that we had what we needed, there was no one there to check on us to handle the timing for drinks, appetizers, etc. When we arrived, the room was an icebox. It was freezing, which was easy to fix as the settings were in the room. The table was dressed with the regular things, but the hummus was in two tiny dishes that had obviously been sitting there for a while and were crusted on top and bread that was cold, no pita nothing cooked. That was one of our table dishes that we ordered as well as taramosalata, calamari and spanakopita. The taramosalata we had ordered as an additional item on a $65 per person set menu with options for your entrée. Unfortunately, it was very bland not the way it used to be when it came. It also did not come with pita which we had to ask for and both the hummus and taramosalata came in teeny tiny dishes, almost the size is what you'd put your soy sauce in at a sushi restaurant. There were four of those tiny dishes (2 of each item) for a table of 10. The next to come was the calamari and the spanakopita. Honestly, I've had better versions of this frozen from Costco than we were served last night. The calamari was not fresh and not homemade, there were no tentacles nothing but rings. It was also cold by the time we got it and par baked. The spanakopita were teeny, tiny triangles, smaller than what you'd even get at Costco and folded so many times in the dough that they were not flaky and honestly horrible. Nobody ate them. Next to come were the salads. That was probably the best course of the night. The take on a Caesar salad with dill was very good so was the tomato traditional Greek salad with feta. It would be nice though if they broke up the feta as there was only three large pieces of feta in there, and if anyone took one, then when you passed things down, the other people did not get any. Seeing as this was all served family style you would think they might have thought of that. Next was the main courses the options were a chicken dish, a fish dish, a lamb dish and a pasta dish. Honestly, the fish dish looked the best of all the dishes, but by the time the food got to us, everything was no longer hot. Five people ordered lamb dishe which was almost inedible. It was shredded meat from a lamb shank that was served in a tiny circular way like it had been molded into a dish and then turned over with some sort of strange sauce underneath it that supposedly was pasta. It was so small it might as well have been something that you would've gotten as an appetizer. Ironically, it was so bad that you didn't want to eat it and everyone left it on their plate. Personally, mine had shards of bone in it, which made my first bite extremely unpleasant and sadly my second bite did too, so I just pushed the it aside and did not continue eating. There was no option for dessert. They just brought down some sort of honey cake that unfortunately they didn't ask if anyone had allergies or anything which a lot of of us do so only a few could eat it, one person ended up taking the majority of the cake home with them. All of this went unnoticed by our server who was rude to the majority of our party. As mentioned before we normally love this restaurant but last night was not a good experience at all. It was extremely disappointing to be treated so cavalierly and as if our party was a downstairs was an afterthought.
