I actually like their food but the service sucks, I order in the drive thru and the girl that took my order was nice but when I paid w my ATM card I gave her a dollar tip. So I asked for an extra salsa so she looks down at the receipt to see if I gave her a tip, looks up at me and says " hum, I guess so ". This place used to be so good but unfortunately the quality has gone down tremendously. I ordered a simple BLT thinking it was 'safe' or 'how could you mess that up'? The staff was very friendly and food was great! On New Year's Day I would have expected a more somber staff but everyone was chipper and refilled coffee regularly. Great food. A little on the pricey side but no worse than say Farmer Boys. You get a good amount of food for your buck. Their large sodas are comparable to a bucket! They serve American/Mexican food so lots of options for everyone in the family. Service is a little slow but that's the trade off for food the is ACTUALLY cooked when you order it. One more thing, not sure about all the complaints regarding condiments. They have a counter in the middle of the dinning room full of condiments and peppers for anyone to get at their own convenience. We eat here quite often. My husband and I usually have breakfast once or twice a weekend. Occasionally we can drag the kids down there every couple weeks for a dinner. The staff is very friendly. The service is usually four out of five stars. Surprisingly, no matter how crowded they've been we've always been able to find a seat. They have a large menu, without being overwhelming, and enough variety to make everybody happy. All food is served regardless of time of day. read more

I've tried this place 3 times and every time I feel like I'm spending way too much for mediocre food. The service is ok, but their menu is confusing and the prices too high for simple sandwiches and burgers. The cashier made a mistake when I ordered chili cheese fries. When it arrived, it was cheese fries with no chili. They remedied the situation by charging me more to add chili. I thought that was very unprofessional since it was the cashier who made the mistake. The reason for only 2 stars Is the 3rd time we ate their, I ordered hot dogs for my kids and one of them immediately got sick and threw up. I think their food quality is low and they are probably not trained to properly handle food. Bottom line, for what you get, it's not worth the price. I'm steering clear of this place read more

We even gave this place a Mulligan after we first moved to Menifee only because there are so few places to eat but it is pretty lousy. The fried chicken was more like a fried parakeet. I had breakfast here, French toast, bacon and eggs with coffee. Service with a smile and very attentive with coffee refills they serve real eggs not liquid from the box. We used to go to the Yellow Basket that was in Garden Grove years ago, maybe 1974. It was the place to go then and it's the place to go now! The food is as now as it was in 1974. I had the Pastrami Sandwich. Absolutely the best! Lots other restaurants will say they have the best, they don't, unless the learned from YB how it's done. The service was friendly, store looked new and very clean, the booths were clean and comfortable and our order was up quickly. Easy handicap parking and room for my walker, something I didn't need 40 years ago, now need to have room to park it. We live in East Hemet so it's about 12 miles away, a great reason to go to Menifee. 5 stars all the way. read more

It's basically set up like a fast food restaurant in that you have to go to the counter and order off a large board. While this might work great for folks who frequent this place and who know the menu well, for a first time like me it just didn't work especially since the cashier did not know the menu and when I asked her specific questions about menu items she had to ask others for the answers. Since I did not know the menu I felt like I was holding up the many people who were pouring in the door behind me, and I would have probably walked out due to frustration at this point but the person I was with had already put in her order so I finally asked the cashier if she had a printed menu I could just sit down and look at. Finally ready to order, back up to the counter and I placed my order of eggs with ham and hash browns which came to $9.71. We have eaten them across the country including Orange County CA, West Bloomfield, MI, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Georgia, and Greece. We have never had such a horrid gyro ~ it was not even a gyro. Guys, if you don't know how to cook and season the meat, please don't sell it. All in all, they try to cook too many types of food and do not seem to be good at any of the items. I come to this place quite often because it's right across the street from where I work and just up the street from my house. Staff is super friendly and they cook their food really well. The downside I have is that the widows have dead flies on them and flies get in somehow and that's just annoying. Overall though, the food is good and the prices are decent! read more
