In the Menifee area and wanted to try out this place. Ordered the Jr bacon cheeseburger combo and my boyfriend chose the French toast breakfast combo. The food came out right away. The junior bacon cheeseburger was huge. I ordered that because I didn't think I could finish a regular sized burger. It was worth every penny!!!! And then some. Customer service was good. I've been here 3 times and have finally decided enough is enough. Let me start by saying the service is great for fast food, i guess that is what the high prices are paying for. The food is mediocre at best, and their menu is very hard to read and has no descriptions. Got the steak omelette and it had mushrooms and soggy onions, no mention of those on the menu. I got the California Burrito once and it had no guac, which seems like an oversight to me. Their sandwiches aren't bad but do not warrant the price you pay. The setting is very nice and the servers are great, which is why this place gets 2 instead of 1, but at their price point you expect quality. I don't understand either with all the new places popping up... they need to be doing it better & cleaner. This particular visit will probably be our last. I ordered a sourdough burger over the phone for pick (i was at work). I got there payed for it and then went back to work. When i was ready to eat my burger i realized that it was the wrong one. I was given a avocado burger. I called n notified them about the problem n they stated they were going to write myname on a log and gave me a credit for the vslue if my purchase. Then a couple weeks latest i called to order soothing else and told them about the credit i had on file with them. They stated they had me on file n they were going to use my credit toeards my purchase. When i got there they stated they were unable to find my name on the log. So i payed for the purchase. Stopped by this place on the way up north for a road trip to try it out for the first time. The service was friendly and the decor was super cute and christmasy! I ordered the Jr. double bacon cheeseburger meal. Sadly the burger was dissapointing. The meat was over cooked and the vegetables were soggy and soft. The tomatoes texture was quite disgusting. We went there last Thursday, August 21, 2014. We had ham and eggs, the ham was so salty and fatty that it was hard to even eat . The eggs were bland and salty. Hash browns tasted like dehydrated ones. The only thing I could say is that the muffin was ok. I will never go there for breakfast again, don't know it it is your cook or just what. We have eaten there before and didn't have any issues, but that whole day I had indigestion.The money hasn't come out of my check book yet and everytime I see it I just want to take it off!!!!!!! We were returning from Temecula around 10:AM ish and decided to stop in for a bite to eat. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT. Our group ordered breakfast burritos that were overpriced and so small. I ordered the pastrami combo that they have pictured on the menu board. The bread was old, the pastrami had no taste, I requested extra mustard and it was more like there was a shorted of mustard. When our order came the handed the wrong burritos to each of them, can't exchange after you bite in to one. They need a new chef and a better trained staff. read more

For starters the cashier was rude and insisted there was no breakfast plate that came with hash browns and gravy even though I saw a picture of one on the menu. I looked online and they had the country plate with everything I was asking for. My sister's burrito came out first with ingredients missing. I waited for 15 minutes for my food before asking where it was and they said they had replaced the receipt paper and my order was never placed. This place was okay. The food was pretty average and by that I mean the food was basic for how expensive it was. Their fries are just plain gross and look like they were just microwaved from the frozen section at a store. Don't even get me started on customer service. Her attitude was very poor and she should not be working with customers. I truly got helped after that horrible experience with that employee by another employee who was just great! I wish I knew her name but she was short with brown hair, such a great worker. But overall. This place is an overly priced franchise, who let their employees do whatever they feel like because no consequences will given to them, and have their cooks just throw frozen food on a plate and call it a day. I gave this place one star, because the food is decent, but customer service was horrible. I went yesterday through drive threw. There was one car ahead of me and they had me wait for 5 minutes before taking my order. When I finally finished placing my order I had to wait another 15 minutes to get my food. When I got my food I parked to check that I had received all my food and found out they had missed my fries. So I got out of my car and when inside and talked to the drive through girl, which then se pointed and asked the another employee, which I believe was the floor manager, if she forgot to place my fries in the bag. The floor manager looked confused and made me go back into my car and grab the bag with the rest of the food, maybe to see if I was not lying. This was shameful and embarrassing. So I came back with the bag, she grabbed it, placed fries inside and handed me back the bag. Never once did she or anyone else apologized for forgetting the item in the bag. They made a mistake, but never took fault. The whole drive thru process took 25 minutes. I never waited so much for drive thru food. I understand that human errors occurs, but an apology would have been sufficient for me, after all it was their fault. I guess here at the Yellow Basket in Menifee, Ca. The customer is not important, they may not need our local support at this moment. Every customer counts, never forget that. read more

Just moved here from orange county and found this place so I placed an order for a pastrami sandwich (7.25) and a rib eye steak (9.99). The pastrami was good but OMG the rib eye was horrible! When I got home it looked so appealing until I started cutting into it with my steak knife. It was like cutting into a piece of rubber. Do they even cook it? I think it was defrosted in the microwave then cooked for 3 minutes at 900 degrees! I did ask for it lightly well done but the nerves and fat were like they were not even cooked. The employees were very kind and loved the Halloween display. Like I said the pastrami was good to x'lnt but run from the rib eye steak, it tastes like horse meat!!! Went to yellow basket drivethru in menifee and ordered a club sandwich, and then ordered a kids meal and a chicken salad with extra ranch. While I was ordering my food I had to repeat myself to times and asked if the lady could repeat herself a few times it was very difficult to hear. After a long wait of the for the cars in front of me I get to the window and the total seem kind of low so I asked to repeat the order back to me again and they didn't bring me up for my club sandwich. So I asked taken I you forgot to water my club sandwich and she added it to the bill. I've already been the drive to what lying for 10 minutes waiting and then they ask me to pull around to the front and they bring my food outs me so I can wait even longer and I told them no I was not going to do that I waited long enough and I'll sit right here. So then the manager comes to the window and says that because I added on food that is my take X longer in GI need to move my car out of the drive-through around to the front. And I then replied with no I did not water add on any of my food I ordered it in the beginning that unfortunately heard employee did not bring it in and she started to argue with me on her employees defense and so I asked for a full refund Now bit about 15 to 20 minutes in the drive-through. I have a love/hate about this place. Portions are generous. Don't get the chicken fried steak. Hamburger is very dry. I like the fish and chips, hash browns, brownies, onion rings. My brother loves the pastrami. I loved the huge French Dip, then it got too, too salty. The fried chicken is very salty, too. Good cold milk. There are a lot of things I have yet to try. After visiting a friend in the area and checking out the reviews, I decided to use the drive thru since it was so hot out. The prices were pretty high for fast food but as long as the portions are decent and taste good, I won't complain. The staff that took care of my order was friendly. She informed me that they did not have a carne asada burrito but that they had a California burrito and that there was no charge for getting it wet...$5.99. I also ordered a "large" order of fried zucchini for $3.99, bacon cheeseburger for $4.34 and carne asada fries for $7.75. I was not impressed with the burrito at all and found it stuffed with cold fries and hardly any meat. I would have appreciated at least some rice and beans inside. The meat was nicely grilled, just not enough of it and the sauce used to make it wet tasted old. I guess they did not want to make a carne asada burrito and put a good amount of meat in the burritos so they just have a CA burrito in order to stuff it with fries. The zucchini was grated then breaded and fried, possibly came frozen. Not worth what they charge. The burger and asada fries were good but still a bit higher priced than other similar establishments.
