I have also tried the picante salmon roll and the hand rolls. The fish was very fresh and delicious. They offer online ordering which has been very easy so far. There is also a small drive through window you can place your order, but if there is a car behind you, you cannot wait in the line and have to drive around, which can be annoying. I got takeout from Yellowfish over the weekend after anticipating a meal from there for quite some time. The restaurant is pretty small, but if you would like to dine in, there are a few seats for parties of 2-4. If you do decide to do the drive-through, keep in mind they only offer it for those who order ahead of time. Given the name, I decided to stick with the Yellowfish roll for my first time. I found the blend of spice, fish, and seasoning to be spot on. I finished the roll in a few seconds rather than minutes. The to-go rolls come with a side of pickled ginger, squeeze of wasabi paste, and two containers of soy sauce. The rolls are modestly sized, but the fish is pretty generous in the fish to rice ratio. Speaking of rice, this is not your typical sushi rice. I would say I got less of the rice vinegar / mirin taste than usual. So, if you're into traditional sushi rolls, the rice might miss the mark a bit for you. Service was pretty speedy - we didn't wait longer than 10 minutes. I love Yellowfish. Their sushi is consistently fresh and delicious whether you eat in the (small) restaurant or if you get to-go. My to-go orders have normally been ready in 10-15 minutes. My favorite go-to is the Picante Tuna Tower. It's this delicious combination of rice, tuna, sauce and avocado. My last visit to the restaurant, it seems that the tuna tower has gotten smaller but for $12 its still a larger portion of food then a sushi roll. Some of the rolls I'd recommend are the rainbow roll, picante roll and yellowfish roll. If you eat at the restaurant you can BYOB but they do have a $6 corkage fee. read more

I honestly felt a little sick after eating so much of the Japanese fusion ceviche. Think it should be shared amongst a group of people. Too much siriracha sauce in my belly. I can never find it the way I like it. This one just had a mass of mayo, scallops, and hot sauce lopped on top of some avocado artificial crab sushi. My husband and I were in the area and we found this place on Yelp so we thought we'd give it a shot. It's a small little shop that's kinda hidden. You won't see it until you come up to it so be prepared. It's also next to another sushi restaurant so don't confuse the two. We started the meal off with a bowl of miso soup which we got for free just for checking in on yelp. So definitely take advantage of that. The soup was good. Just like any other sushi place the only difference I found was that they actually have small bites of actual tofu in one bowl. It's not just one small tiny cube of tofu and a small bite of seaweed. You got the soup and a plenty amount of tofu and seaweed to go with every spoonful. Along with the miso soup we got the gyoza to go with our appetizer. The gyozas were deep fried compared to the authentic pan fried. It was good and the filling was good. Wasn't too oily/greasy. I personally prefer my gyozas pan fried. We ordered the elotes taco, dragon roll, and the kubo roll for our main dishes. If you like elotes/corn the elotes taco is definitely something to try. It doesn't have the grilled corn taste that true good elotes has, it tastes out of the can but it's still pretty good. My dragon roll was okay. The tempura inside was cold and soggy. I'm pretty sure they used overnight or refrigerated tempura...which... lets be honest isn't fresh or tastey. Everything else was just standard and I didn't get the "mex" fusion" within that roll. The Kubo roll was pretty good. Their salsa had a kick but it worked with the sushi. The salmon was fatty and good. Overall a decent roll. Definitely see the mex fusion within that roll. My biggest issue is the seaweed they use. It's chewy. Tough to bite down and easily take the bite with you. You gotta really chew it off and rip away. We didn't get the burrito, but I just imagine that it'll be difficult to eat a burrito with that tough sheet of nori around it. Another issue I had was the restroom. I understand that they have limited space on where certain things could be... but the restroom was a huge problem. It's fine where it was located, in the middle of the shop splitting the high tables from the low, but the door... the door had one of those blurred windows... a huge on at that. It was also the only restroom so it was unisex and everyone will be tugging and going for that exposed door. I was so uncomfortable going.
