The restaurant is clean and spacious. The selection is small compared with similar style buffets. The staff were friendly and kept the table bused and clean. The rating is for the quality of food. I couldn't find much I enjoyed. Both styles of egg rolls were inedible. The Kung pao chicken was not good and it is my favorite dish. I tried all the variations of flavored fried chicken nuggets (orange, sesame, etc) and the chicken was tough as shoe leather with each bite. This one star review isn't deserved. Not because I think they deserve more, but I can't leave a negative star tip so... When we walked in, the host looked at us and said we have 30 minutes to eat and leave. Hearing that really put the whole meal off. We told her we wouldn't be long and she said okay and stood there as if she was waiting for us to decide to leave. When she realized we were staying, she decided to grab silverware and take us to a table. The food was below average to say the least, the sushi was warm and had no sauces to accompany it. Through the entire meal, we had employees standing over us watching to see when we were done. As soon as we grabbed some desert, the waitress dropped off our check and waited for me to grab my card. I decided to write a note to the hostess about trying to get people to leave, but the hostess came and grabbed the pen from my hand. This experience was HORRIBLE. Over the past five years I have been to this Chinese buffet at least four times. Every time I go, it's because I forget how bad it is and I go back again. I'm so tired of having such a poor memory. The food is essentially everything that you hate about Chinese buffets encapsulated into one restaurant. Low-quality, sometimes questionable cleanliness, sometimes cold. Plus, like too many Chinese buffets they add bizarre items in an attempt to somehow mimic Golden corral or perhaps to make children happy, But nevertheless, they somehow still seem to Miss Meijer dishes that you would expect at a Chinese restaurant. Furthermore, it's really overpriced especially considering the Quality of the food. Do yourself a favor, avoid this place at all costs. Eat something else. I've been frequenting Chinese buffets since before I can remember and although it's been quite some time since I've visited one, my recent visits here during Christmas break proved fruitful. I like this place! Ever since I tried sushi at Yummy Buffet in Chicago, any Chinese buffet that serves sushi is a winner in my book. Yes Buffet not only serves sushi, they serve about 5 kinds, and they also have a mongolian stir-fry section. There is plenty of variety here and you are sure to find something you will like. Their spring rolls are the bomb-flaky, crispy, and piping hot through and through! Chicken dishes, beef dishes, seafood dishes, sauteed veggies, salad bar, fruit and dessert bar, three different kinds of soups (egg drop soup is GREAT), and a few american entrees to boot-can't beat it. I also love how they serve fried sweet plantains, a respectful nod to the Latin and African populations that you see dining here. Love it! It does get very crowded on Sundays. For two people the wait wan't very long though. On weeknights getting a table doesn't take more than a few minutes. Your table will be assigned a server and they are great about keeping your glass filled with your beverage of choice and the table cleared. Keep in mind that drinks are not included with the price of the buffet. Still though--$9.59 for an adult buffet is pretty good. A friend suggested this was his favorite buffet in DFW. I'm going to have to talk to him about his taste in Chinese buffet. The food is one star at best. I've never had hot and sour soup that tasted neither hot or sour. But the service was pretty good. Very attentive with drink refills which is really all you need. Bottom line, just don't. Great buffet variety and good price. Dinner is under $10 for adults, and under $5 for kids. This Chinese buffet is definitely a little above average compared to similar style and price range buffets. Unless you have some kind of extraordinary or unrealistic expectation you won't be disappointed with this buffet. The sushi is typical for this range of buffet. Also has a Mongolian grill - we did not try it but I looked at the meat selection and the cuts looked nicely trimmed and as fresh as you'd expect, and same for the assorted veggies. The food was okay, the chicken was hard as a rock. And the drinks were watery, I had an Sprite and it was watery it didn't taste like sprite. So I ordered an Pink Lemonade, hoping it would taste different, but it didn't change the lemonade felt like it was water down. Then at the end of the meal, I got my receipt and they charge me for ordering another drink, even when I told the waitress my drink was watery. I decided to try this buffet the other day! I will say that they were awesome with the COVID protocol! I was getting "To Go" food and asked for a container along with a small soup bowl! They say there are over 150 items on the buffet....I think not! Anyway, I got some lo mein and dished myself up some beef and broccoli and chicken and broccoli, some pepper steak, pan seared dumplings, string beans and some wonton soup! First, the wonton soup was mushy! My opinion is that they should do what East Buffet in Irving does.....Steam the dumplings and leave them in a steamer. The customer adds the dumplings and then puts broth on top. The dumplings are perfect and not soggy and mushy! My second opinion is how much oil do you use? My plate was so full of oil! Needless to say, I will not be back! When I get some hankering for Chinese food, I will take the drive and go to East Buffet in Irving or Rice Bowl in Arlington! read more

Their food is nasty. My boyfriend ate their sushi and within 10 minutes after eating it he got really pale in the face a started sweating like crazy. We had to go home immediately and he's been puking all day. And now his face is completely red and purple because he's so sick. I only ate 2 pieces of sushi and my stomach doesn't feel good either. And when I called the lady hung up in my face the first time so I called back and she told me there is nothing wrong with their food and she can't refund us or anything. And second they tried charging me for 3 people since my sisters boyfriend joined us later and did not eat or drink nothing and the waiter insisted that he ate which basically they were calling us liars and even the manager kept repeating the policy about one bite and they charge and we had to KEEP telling them we understand your policy but he didn't eat or drink nothing. I don't give one star reviews very often because I feel that the restaurant has to be really awful to receive a one star. Yes Buffet deserves the one star. Food was two stars. The Mongolian grill only had four choices of protein: beef, sausage, "scallop," and unknown white meat (chicken or pork). The "scallop" was really imitation crab meat, which is some whitefish (e.g., pollack). The sushi was warm and "meh." The rest of the buffet (dessert, fruit, Asian dishes, seafood) was also "meh." Do NOT try the meat on a stick. Service was three stars. The wait staff refilled our drinks and took our used plates away, but they did not initially deliver some of our drink order and we had to ask them again. The three stars is mainly because they did not understand how to calculate our check. We had a 10% off coupon and the waitress insisted our bill was 10% off. Because we had individual bills, it was easy to see that the 10% was not taken off our bill. So, we had to talk to the manager. Management was negative five stars. The manager told us that the 10% for the coupon was taken off our bill. I asked her to add the two numbers from my individual bill on a calculator to see if it matched the subtotal on the individual bill. It did not and she said, that it was too late to change the bill and we would not each receive 10% off the bill. I told her that I thought that was dishonest and asked whether she wanted to run her business in a dishonest manner. She relented and gave me the 10% off. Then, I paid my bill. She then told me that it was too late for the rest of my party (all 9 of them) to receive the 10% off becuase they already paid their individual bills. At this point, the rest of my group felt like it was not worth arguing. I told the manager that she is the reason why Asian people have a bad name and yes, I am Asian so I am directly affected by her dishonest actions. While I was arguing with the manager, a mother/son customer was arguing with the cashier about having a mandatory tip added to their bill. The cashier said that a mandatory 18% gratuity is added to large parties. The mother said that there were only two people in her party; and she already left a cash tip for the waitress. The cashier would not take the mandatory tip for large parties off her bill. If you want to help perpetuate dishonest business practices, then support this restaurant. I hope they go out of business because dishonest people should not be rewarded for their actions. read more

OK...this is actually one of the few places I have eaten at in GP that I may actually return to. First sign of possible enjoyment is the name and sign outside the restaurant. The place is literally called Yes Buffet, and right by the word Yes is a giant thumbs up....fantastic. Upon walking in, I was a little overwhelmed by the sheer vastness of buffet tables in this place. I almost kind of wished I had worn pants with an elastic waistband today :) YB is not only a Chinese Buffet, but also a "Mongolian Grill." They have one of those stations where you go up and choose your choice of meat (steak, chicken, pork, or some sad looking shrimp), veggies, and sauces and then the cook whips it all up for you right there. I was tempted to do this, but we arrived at the height of the lunch hour rush so the line was pretty long. They should definitely have more than one chef rockin the wok during peak hours. However, since we were there during peak time, the items on the buffet appeared to be pretty consistently replenished. There were of course all of the typical staples, though I did find it odd to not find one noodle dish in the whole joint?! Along with the typical stuff, there was also traditional American fare such as chicken nuggets, chicken fried steak, roasted potato wedges, mac-n-cheese, etc.I did not try any of this stuff as I was more interested in stuffing my face with faux Chinese food. Along with the main entree stuff, there was a "sushi" bar...but as a general rule I always avoid "sushi" at buffets. Don't want to die of dysentery or anything. There was also a pretty extensive salad bar area which include a lot of fresh and not so fresh fruits.The desert section was also pretty massive with some items I was not expecting. Mini tiramisu, mini cheesecakes, a variety of cookies, mini eclairs, and a soft serve ice cream machine with vanilla, chocolate, and swirl options!!! I almost wish I hadn't gorged myself with food and saved room for the deserts. All in all, this is a decent place to go to lunch considering the options in the area. And for less than $7 with tax (if you get water) and tip...that's one hell of a deal. read more

Bit of a far from campus but it was worth it. i love their coconut shrimp. so buttery and coconutty. the food rotates quickly so that means the food comes out fresh which is good. their sushi rolls arent bad at all. most buffets, the food dosn't rotate as quick so u will get dried up tuna on rice but here it tastes good. read more

Tried this place for dinner since it was recommend and let me start by saying the staff was nice, they were on top of it picking up dirty plates and giving refills. Now on to the food Sushi is limited and some had run out. It took them a while to start putting out more. I've had better. Now the food if it wasn't somewhat cold it was super greasy like for example the dragon roll(disgusting) the breaded shrimp was so greasy i couldn't taste the shrimp! The Lomein noodles had so much garlic i couldn't eat it. The non fried dishes were not bad but we will definitely not be back. read more
