Found this little gem in our area with good reviews & great photos so we thought we'd give it a try. Photos showed big shrimp in their dishes which we preferred and they certainly did not disappoint. The service was quick & friendly; my order was done in 15mins when I was quoted a 20min wait time & I was greeted when I entered the establishment. The interior space is typical of a small mom & pop Chinese restaurant with a few tables, mainly catering to takeout orders. My favorite items were; the big egg rolls which came free with our order which were made fresh and the shrimp fried rice which contained large shrimp. All meals were reasonably priced between $10-$20 depending on size. Very satisfied & will definitely be coming back as this will be our new go to spot for Asian cuisine! read more

Have the correct expectations about it before going. This isn't anything fancy to be sure, but it's still kind of popular. Basic Chinese menu of the usual stuff that's at these mom and pop Chinese places in strip malls. It has a lunch menu of specials at better prices. The food may not be the value it was but it's still comparatively cheap though. It's about $7 for a lunch meal. The Bean Curd Country Style is the best option for vegetarians. Has some vegetables along with the tofu, which was slightly burned. There was carrots, mushrooms, and pea pods. Basic item at a fast food style Chinese. The tofu was pretty unimpressive to be honest. Have the right expectations and you won't complain so much about it if looking to get cheap Chinese. It's really better than it looks. I order from their frequently, just received my order through a delivery service, and the chicken lo mein has hardly any chicken in it at all. The combo fried rice I ordered also barely has any meat in it at all. I called to talk to the store about it And was given two or three reasons that made no sense telling me that they always put the same amount of chicken and meat in the food, I told them they didn't this time, they asked me if I could bring it in to prove it to them. Was looking for a different Chinese restaurant and wanted something that I never tried before. It's decent food and decent priced.

I had such a taste for Chinese food but many restaurants are closed on Monday. I consulted Yelp and directed me to Jin's of china. I ordered shrimp egg foo young and beef and shrimp chow foo, egg rolls and egg drop soup. The food was ok very bland I needed to add salt and more onions to eat I asked for fresh ginger on the food but it did not have no ginger. The egg foo young had no bean sprouts at all, they gave me a different container with the dark sauces but was very light in color and very very extremely lumpy that I actually had to come home and stir the delights out of it in the stove top to melt them away. The price was a little on the pricey side since I had to come home and fix it to make it taste better. read more

The food is OK nothing to write home about myself and my entire party agreed that it's pretty flavorless and as one other person said, yes the race is kind of soggy my vegetable chop Suey tasted like vegetables with no flavor literally no flavor everywhere I go I get vegetable chop Suey and I've never tasted it where there's literally no flavor I ate it but I was kind of gagging because I didn't want plain broccoli on rice. Tried Jin's China for the 1st time. Easy online ordering. Food was ready within 30 minutes. Chicken egg rolls, spring roll, veggie fried rice and the Chicken with Broccoli with white rice. All was fresh, hot and tasted great. Price was reasonable. For sure will be going again! read more

This is our favorite in the area and we frequently grab this for takeout. Our favorite is the shrimp broccoli, egg roll and crab Rangoon. Always ready fast and Edit- wow. I am so sad to hear the owners sold the business! You can tell in the food - it doesn't taste the same at all. I had to update my review from 5 to 2 stars due to this. My family and I have driven past Jin's China plenty of times, and I cannot believe it took us this long to try their food! Their Mongolian beef is one of the most delicious dishes I have ever tried in the DuPage area. The place we used to go to would always include more onions than beef, so it was a pleasant surprise to actually see beef in my Mongolian beef. Their crab rangoons are absolutely amazing. I have never been a big fan of Kung Pao chicken, until I tried the one from Jin's. It's so crispy and they make sure the vegetables and peanuts do not overpower the chicken. Another plate we enjoyed were the boneless spare ribs. For whatever reason, it's very difficult to find spare ribs in this area, let alone good ones, so we were very surprised by the quality of the meat. The only little complaint I have are that the portions are significantly smaller than other restaurants. Overall, I definitely recommend Jin's China to anyone in the area looking for a great Chinese restaurant. Will definitely be going back! read more

First time ordering here. I ordered the Fried Rangoon and Orange Chicken Dinner with Lo Mein. The fried Rangoon were okay, they didn't taste like the usual Rangoon. The orange chicken was pretty good. Had a different flavor or spice, that had a lil bit of heat. The Lo Mein was amazing though. Probably the best I've ever had. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE!!!! ZERO STARS My family and I have been frequent flyers here to this place since before I can remember, and I recently had the worst customer service EXPERIENCE I have ever encountered in my life. The employee gave me the wrong to-go food and confirmed twice that it was my order. I left and got home. I called right when I got home when I noticed the order was completely wrong, and told her it could have been a mistake from her end, which happens, but wanted my food back or a refund for her inconveniences. I have worked at a restaurant for 8 years and have made plenty of mistakes and OWN up to them by making sure the customer feeling taken care of. Without yelling or blaming names I tell her I want a refund and she then raises her voice and continues to tell me it was MY FAULT for taking the wrong order, when there was only ONE order on the counter and SHE HAD HANDED IT TO ME. How is it the customer's fault for receiving the wrong order? After trying to calm her down she continues to say that she will take back the food and give it to her kids without any form of any compensation. I tell her that not going to work because of the cleanliness and liabilities of FDA and taking food back. She continues to argue and yell at me and then eventually hangs up. I call back and ask for a manager, she lies and says she is the manager and continues to yell and blame me, when I am trying to be understanding and just trying to get my food or money back. Well, she hangs up again. I call back again and the owner answers and finally agrees to a refund, after basically being barated and completely disrespected. I calmy and maturely ask for an apology from the woman, as she doesn't know what Im going through and cannot get away treating people like that no matter what the issue is. Own up for your responsibility like a regular adult, and do not argue with your paying customers. My first visit to Jim's was 4 years ago and after the new owners took over I am ready to write a review. The food is so much better and the service improved dramatically. I'm glad the new owners made changes to the food I now like coming here. With what is going on in the world I really hope Jin's makes it they really turned things around in a short amount of time. I enjoy how friendly everyone is when you pick up your order. Jin's China is a small walk-in and take out Chinese restaurant located off of Geneva Road on the far Western edge of Wheaton. Having seen positive reviews for this place I bookmarked it and recently stopped by to try it. While it seems like their primary business is take out, there are in fact a few tables on the inside where you could sit and eat. In stopping by with a friend we decided to try a few different things here. General Tso's chicken, pot stickers and crab rangoon. The food took about 15 minutes to be ready from when we ordered and very soon we were on our way. There's one word that clearly describes the General Tso's chicken and that word is plentiful. The portion sizes here are gigantic, possessing easily enough food for two very hungry adults with one entree. The chicken itself had a glaze over it that wasn't nearly as spicy as most General Tso's chicken. It wasn't as thick or as flavorful as well. This was in fact a little on the bland side, I'd say it was closer to sweet and sour chicken with a light glaze than general tso's. But that wasn't all, we also picked up pot stickers. These were okay, they weren't too greasy but didn't have the texture that I like. I'd order these again, but they didn't knock my socks off. Finally there was the crab rangoon, the one sin I often find Chinese restaurants engaging in is selling "crab rangoon" that is merely deep fried cream cheese wontons with no crab (or even imitation crab) in it. Fortunately, this had actual crab meat and was far and away the best thing we tried on their menu. The cream cheese was nice and the crab meat was tasty. Overall I'm mixed about my opinions on Jin's Chinese, on one hand they provide a ton of food for a low price. On the other hand with exception to the crab rangoon it was fairly bland. I'd recommend coming here if you have a lot of people to feed, but better options do exist for overall entrees. I'll give them three stars. read more

Once, again, Yelp did not disappoint! I drive by Jin's China every day to and from work, so decided to look it up on Yelp and find out more about it. The reviews were positive so tonight I gave it a try. I'm so glad I did! It was about 7:15 and the place was busy- it seems popular. I only had to wait about 10 minutes. They have three or four tables and chairs in the restaurant but no one was eating in. The woman behind the counter was very friendly and likable. Even the other customers were friendly! I wasn't sure what to get but saw that sesame chicken is one of the house specialties so ordered that. YUM! I loved it- it's fun finding a new favorite. It was a huge serving so I'll have it for leftovers for a couple of more meals. It was listed as spicy but I didn't find it very spicy which is absolutely perfect for me. I also tried the egg rolls and they are awesome. They are a little different than usual but I was pleasantly surprised. I wish I could figure out how to describe them- they are stuffed full and just really tasty. I also tried the chicken fried rice. This wasn't my favorite but it still was good. It has peas and carrots in it which isn't always the case when you order chicken fried rice. They include fortune cookies which are fun. I didn't like my fortune at all, but I guess I can't blame the restaurant! :) They have a $3.50 lunch special from 11:30-2:00 where you can pick from 16 options and they include either white or fried rice. Don't forget to add an egg roll! :) Overall, I'm really pleased to discover Jin's China and can't wait to share it with others. read more
