I enjoyed coming here for lunch while in the Carol Stream area because they not only serve Chinese, Japanese and Thai cuisine but they also have a gluten free section on their menu. The interior is clean, bright and they have both tables and booths. Lunch specials are a good value and come with sides such as soup and eggroll or salad and Crab Rangoon . Our food came out piping hot and with a delicious aroma. Service may seem a bit slow but everything is made fresh so relax and enjoy.

Attentive service, menu has sushi, Thai, and Chinese dishes. Great curry. Each time I intend to order sushi but find something else appealing. Never disappoints.

This is my favorite Asian restaurant in Carol Steam because of their tasty dishes and extensive menu. The sushi rolls are the biggest surprise. I'm usually suspicious when a place offer more than one type of Asian cuisine, but Jin 28 somehow pulls it off. Egg drop soup $4 - Simple egg drop, no frill, I can't find one better. Eel and cucumber roll $8 - If you're not really here for sushi, but still want some eel, this is the perfect appetizer to satisfy that craving. Honey Glazed Walnut Shrimp $17 - It's really hard to go wrong with this dish, not healthy, but addictive. The 3 pieces of broccoli helps ease the guilt. Lo mein $15 - They no longer carry yakisoba, but this is a good substitute. Noodles were delicious. If ordering a veggie one, it comes with peapod, carrots, celery, broccoli, baby corn, mushrooms, and cabbage. Other dishes I've tried: Vegetable Tempura - Broccoli and sweet potatoes Orange Chicken - Small - Good sauce and chicken is breaded and fried Yu Shan Broccoli - Delicious sauce, fresh vegetables. Pan Fried Noodles - Crispy pan fried noodles with savory sauce and vegetables. Hongsue Tofu $14 - Tons of tofu, accompanied by variety of veggies, and yummy brown sauce. Double Eel Maki Roll - Great eel roll! Godzilla Roll - Yummy with a nice crunch! Singapore Rice Noodles $15.45 - Curry flavored noodles, a bit salty. Buddha's Delight $14 - AOk, comes with rice, but not needed since there's plenty of glass noodles in the dish. .|\---/| | o_o | ..\_^_/..2024

Sadly, we gobbled up the food before I remembered to take photos. D'oh! I highly recommend the Tea Leaf salad--a Burmese staple and a real treat if you haven't had it before. Very flavorful and just a hint of spice (don't eat the sliced peppers if you're spice-adverse, but we devoured them). We also had Shan Noodles (B8). I also recommend that. A mild to medium spice level and very tasty. Generous portions. Two dishes was enough for two though I wish we had tried the spring rolls or samosas too--we might have had leftovers if we had! The restaurant itself is inviting and clean. They did a good job considering the location in a strip mall. The lighting looks nice, and the textured walls add to the inviting ambience.

It's a family owned restaurant, they are friendly from the time I've picked u my food. They are also available on Uber eats I' believe. But so far these are the items I have tried: 5/5 stars: Egg drop soup- there egg drop soup is so good and unique! I have to be in the mood for this soup but they add veggies in theirs which I love. However, it's a little pricey for a vegetarian soup. I think the large is $10! 2.5/5 stars: Crab Rangoon- they look like money bags, which I've had before in a Thai restaurant. I don't know what it is about their crab Rangoon's however I feel like they're almost very bland and you can't really taste the flavor of crab Rangoon, which is why I gave that rating. 5/5 stars: Chicken Pad See Eiw- absolutely love this dish it's full of flavor, veggies and protein. 5/5 stars: Chicken Penang Curry- it's one of the most underrated Currys, but it's very good a little sweet a little hot. Served with white rice it's definitely a good try. What I love about this place is I've asked for a higher spice level and they have delivered! I cannot wait to try more items from this restaurant and I will report back hopefully.

Another appetizer we got separately was the fried calamari which had a great crunchy texture, the absolute best! There is a separate vegan menu with half a dozen things on it, and other than the drinks and desserts, pretty much nothing on the regular menu is vegetarian. You've got your choice of various fruit lemonades, bubble teas, popping bubble teas, jellies, etc. Desserts include flan, Vietnamese yogurt, coconut jelly - none of which you'll be eating onsite as you'll be too full after your entree. Portions are on the large side - even the papaya salad is a meal. I got the peach lemonade, vegetable spring rolls and the tofu, vegetable and noodles, which turned out to be a soup, basically Vietnamese ramen. The spring rolls are tasty and come with peanut sauce; the vegetable broth was savory with lots of baby bok choy, plenty of noodles and cubes of fried tofu - it was even better with some of the homemade hot sauce, which I highly recommend. The lemonade comes in a bubble tea disposable cup and contains tiny pieces of fruit - very fruity, not very citrusy. Service was friendly and very personable, which helps if you're serving 16 people. All of whom were happy.
