They have a food truck inside Hershey park. Great Greek food. Really enjoyed the chicken souvlaki and pita. Simple but delicious.

Great Greek food with fast service. I love a gyro and they're probably the best I've had in this area!

Super friendly service and the owners were awesome. Best gyro by far at the York state fair. Definitely worth checking out.

It was a good portion, I was satisfied and everything was cooked really well. My boyfriend ordered the pork gyro (higher plate) with tomato, red onion, lettuce and tzatziki wrapped in pita bread with a side of fresh cut fries and ketchup. First time trying this restaurant because it was close to my hair salon, and it did not disappoint! The place is a smaller shop in a place but it was well organized, clean, and service was quick and tentative as well. There were probably only 3 or 4 employees in the whole restaurant but it seems they have a really organized system and the food came out amazing and at a reasonable time. If you're ever in the Lancaster area looking for delicious Greek food I'd highly recommend this restaurant! And I will definitely be back!

Most items are scratch made down to the pita and they even grow their own herbs. When ordering dessert the owner offered to make us an off menu item he was trying which hopefully makes it onto the menu soon! Additionally a really good drink/beer list! The owner came and spoke with us for a bit and is a very kind and cool guy. This place is absolutely with a try!

One Word = Outstanding…read more We were up in Carlisle picking up our truck and decided to stop here for an early dinner and it was a great choice ! It has been quite some time since we last dined here and we came at the right time, we were able to go right up to the counter and place our order to dine in and the staff member was very friendly and answered a few questions which was perfect. We ordered the flaming cheese and forgive me on the name that and two gyros and a water and a soda and our flaming cheese came out and the pita bread was nice and warm and naturally the cheese was flaming, hot and very flavorful and absolutely perfect. The gyros are incredible. They are filled with meat and the other essential toppings shall I say I'll rolled into a freshly heated pita. While we were eating, it really got busy to wear almost all the tables were filled, and the inside is very relaxed very welcoming and extremely clean and the staff members walking around are always checking on you to see if you need anything and if you need any refills on any of your sodas or waters. We highly recommend stopping here if you're in the mood for Greek food, they have all different type of selections from your basic Gyro to Greek fries to regular fries two more elaborate dinners, all freshly prepared and well present presented. Oh, and don't forget about their dessert counter or shall I say dessert case they are so very unique and absolutely incredible !!!!

The meat in both dishes was well-cooked and flavorful, which was definitely the highlight of the meal. However, beyond that, the bowls felt quite one-dimensional. They consisted mostly of rice, salad, and a dollop of sour cream or Greek yogurt, without the variety of sauces, herbs, or bold Mediterranean flavors I was hoping for. I asked for hot sauce to add some extra flavor, but the standard hot sauce available didn't help much. Instead of adding heat or complexity, it mainly contributed a vinegary taste that didn't enhance the dish. Service was a bit slow, though the restaurant was busy during the lunch rush, so that was understandable. The atmosphere was pleasant and casual, making it a comfortable place for a quick lunch. Overall, the ingredients tasted fresh and the quality seemed good, but the bowls lacked the depth of flavor and seasoning I was expecting, which left the meal feeling underwhelming.

Souvlaki, FLAVORLESS. No char, smoke, depth. Tasted like you pan-fried a chicken breast then skewered it. Smaller & presented sloppier. (Compare the pics). Lamb Shank Yvetsi still tender, but for the love of God what happened to the orzo? Burned in my memory how flavorful it was (it had depth!) This time, like you dumped Hunts over pasta. Honey Baked Feta was fair, but nothing measurable. Saganaki had last time, actually way better & I regret not giving it a fairer shake. Telia Chips were standout of the evening. Light fry, tempura-like breading, creamy tzatziki. Sad, if fried zucchini is best part of the meal. Food disappointment aside. It was my birthday. Could've picked from a dozen places in Chester Co, but drove to Berks for you. Hostess, zero acknowledgement. Waitress, zero acknowledgement. Not angling for free desert or a song, just acknowledge me! NEVER have I told service persons (or a stranger on the street) it's my birthday & had them gloss right over it, purse their lips & walk away. My present, within 5 min of check drop was asked to evacuate the table. Heartbroken to learn of Willoughby's closing:-( Close this place too, obvious you're not in it.

The Dip Sampler and the Meat Sampler are standouts. The Dip Sampler has a variety of yummy dips and warm pita. Hummus can vary a lot in different restaurants, and this one is good, creamy with not too much garlic. We both enjoyed the Meat Sampler at our first dinner and took home leftovers - nice variety of meats. It comes with a good basmati rice but you can also choose a salad or French Fries. Gotta love a place that offers you both! This visit, I had the Moussaka Entree (gluten free) which was a special that night. It was tasty with no spice that overwhelmed the dish. Nice size slice with a salad with tomatoes. My husband had the Chicken Kebob which came with three skewers of chicken and salad (instead of the French Fries). We both took some food home especially after the Dip Sampler. We arrived around 5 pm and got the benefit of the Happy Hour price of $2 off a draft beer ($6 instead of $8) and $1 off the martini. The baklava has a generous supply of nuts, and I have enjoyed the Baklava Cheesecake at home for dessert. The restaurant decor is relaxing and attractive with thoughtful touches like a little table for your purse or to put your leftover containers on. The metal artwork tree, wicker lamps and paintings on the wall contribute to the cozy ambiance. Service has been prompt with someone coming over to greet us quickly. For my espresso martini, they had run out of espresso, but someone went to buy espresso from a coffee shop instead of telling me to order something else. Aleko's is a lovely, neighborhood gem. It is also on Resy for reservations.

TLDR: Hot food on a cold night. Oompah!…read more I used to stop for takeout at Aleko's old location in a gas station when I refereed games at the local high school. Great food, great value. But 6 weeks ago they moved to a full sit-down restaurant a mile and a half away. With my wife off at a community group dinner, I thought I would see how the new place stacked up. The inside was bright and warm, tables and chairs were comfortable, and very quiet even though almost every table was in use. These days this is a rare but well-appreciated thing; my old ears approved. I was quickly seated and handed a menu and wine list. Wine list contained quite a few Greek wines and beers. I like reds that are, well, a bit rough so I went with one recommended by the waiter. Good choice. Good choice! The food menu contained all of my old favorites. No fancy Greek/Asian/Inuit fusion here, thank Zeus! I was getting ready to order the gyro platter when the owner casually mentioned that lamb shanks with roasted potatoes were the night's special. Score! My food was delivered very, very quickly, and it exceeded my expectations. Lamb was fall-off-the-bone tender, well seasoned, and covered with a simple Greek tomato sauce. Potatoes were well cooked (but not as crispy as I usually like), but their feta and olive oil sauce was superb. Beautiful fluffy rice and a simple salad of romaine lettuce, tomatoes, feta and a light vinaigrette were also included. Everything was delicious! Overall, servings were generous and prices were reasonable. And yes, they still offer carry out, something to keep in mind the next time I drive through Middletown on my way anywhere. And even if I'm not driving through, Aleko's is worth the trip all by itself.
