However: - The receptionist did not give me back my change ($10) until I pressed - They deliberately "misunderstood" which service I wanted, so I ended up with one that wasn't what I wanted and was more expensive. - The masseuse apparently used my shirt as a coaster for the massage oil. Thanks a lot... I've treated it twice now and the stain remains - The masseuse pressed me for a 30%+ tip. I understand the economy is awful right now and that everyone deserves to be paid an equitable wage for hard work. Man. The first time I went, I had a glorious, relaxing experience with a very well trained masseuse. Months later, I returned and was assigned to an older gentleman whose pressure was painfully strong. I would request more gentle pressure. He'd say okay. No change. I would wince from the pain and use my hands to say "stop," or "gentle please," to which he nodded. Still, no change. I ended my 60 min massage early by 30 minutes because I couldn't take it anymore. Let me start by saying I get massages often. Today, I thought I would try somewhere new because it was A. It was close to my house and B. It had good ratings. Now let's get to the massage. I got the combo, half feet/half body which was $60. Right when I got there, the receptionist brought me to the common area which I was confused by because I thought I had to take off my shirt. The lady starts on my head. It wasn't good. How do you mess up a head massage? Even a bad masseuse can get that right. At one point, she was scratching my head? Then, she started on my feet which was the only reason I tried this new place. I specifically wanted more time on my feet. You can tell she doesn't know how to massage the feet either. It felt like she was just rubbing it. I knew at this point I wasn't going to enjoy the rest of my massage. After she was done, she told me to go to the room so she can work on my back. That was the first time I had to switch locations at a massage place. This was where I really disliked the massage. Rather than massaging me, she would use her thumb to push down on pressure points? It was painful and not enjoyable at all. She did this on my shoulders, back, and even buttocks. When the massage was over, I went to ask the receptionist if applying pressure points was the style of massage of the establishment or the masseuses personal style? Regardless, I can say with certainty that the head and feet massages were not good. They both seem confused and slightly irritated that I was even asking and what's more rude was when I handed her a tip. They both looked at it and then at each other like it's not enough. Normally I would tip more but I gave her $15 (%25) because I didn't enjoy the massage at all. This is a service. Don't expect a big tip when you don't provide a good massage. Overall, would not come back. I'm surprised this place has 4.5 stars. At least have the receptionist and masseuse have a better attitude. read more

I would usually come here for a 1 hour foot massage and each time it was great. However today I encouraged my parents to come with me and we did a 90 mins full body massage. After we walked in for our massages we were told for 3 people it would be $300. I was a bit caught off guard because it said $90 for a 90 mins body massage with $2 charge if using card on their sign. I informed the receptionist that it said $90 and she responded with because we are using card. But how would she have assumed we were using card to begin with. And it states $2 charge additional per service if using card. So the math was not mathing. It would have been $92 with card regardless. How did she get $100. We paid cash and proceeded to our rooms. The massage itself was good but the beginning experience left a bad taste in my mouth. So still ended up tipping 20% however we were met with some push. The front desk was asking for more. I then proceeded to tell her that, that was all the cash we had. Then she stated we can use card and will not be charge a fee.... That left me utterly confused. And I declined. Then she proceeds to tell me that 20% was not enough for a 90 mins massage. I did inform her that tip is base on the customers discretion but I could tell she was baffled and unhappy with us. That was the first time I have ever experienced something like that. I use to come here often but after this I will not be returning. First increasing our massage price with no reasonable explanation and then demanding more tip is not great for customer retention. Also whenever I would go for a 60 mins foot massage I'd always tip over 20% but this time with our encounter at the front. We settled for 20% which is reasonable. Instead of pushing us to fork more cash they should have thought about keeping regular customers who bring them consistent business. read more

Honestly the massage itself was good. Until.. she ended my session early by 10 minutes. Walked in on me when I told her I was putting my clothes on and I repeatedly said I'm NAKED! Then she said that we are women. She demanded that I take the post down for the last 2 days of this post and that they'll refund me. I never went back for the refund tho & It was just going in circles.. This is my first visit to this massage place. Got to be honest, I wasn't sure what I was getting myself into. My masseuse was named Suki, and she was very strong. I asked for a deep massage and that is exactly what she gave me. Because it was my first visit, I opted for the one hour foot massage. The next time I go, I will definitely get the body massage. Suki was able to find the knots under both my shoulder blades without me telling her about them. She also worked my lower back Extremely well. After the massage was done, I felt so much better. Man... Never will I come back here. Never had I ever said "thank God" for a massage being over with. My masseuse was so bad. I don't think she knows how to give a massage. I had a rubbing game going on. After asking her to give more pressure, she did for a minute, and started rubbing me again. She gave me 5 minute head scratch on each side...thought to myself "she just wants to mess with my hair". Towards the end, she tosses the towel on my eyes since I had my eyes open I really wanted to like this place since it's so close to my house. There was no music playing which I really didn't like as well. Place is clean though. My partner hated his massage as well. The front lady did his massage. She walked out of the room to pick up the phone twice. She rushed his massage. He said she was so rough. He probably got a 45 minute massage. I was hesitant to try this place but I'm so glad I did! I've been here twice for a 60 minute full body massage without an appointment and had great experiences both times. I highly recommend Jeff, he is so skilled and I literally felt all the tension from my body disappear. The experience didn't feel rushed at all, and he worked on getting my deep knots out. So I went ahead and tried this place and got a very therapeutic and relaxing massage from Charlie. At first I was skeptical because another masseuse have worked on me but after like 10 minutes he was called in I think to work on another person. He started very well and strong so I said to myself that he must be their best one and they pulled in gave it to one of their regulars. But Charlie worked on my body very well that this must be my best one yet. I have been to all massage place from high end to regular foot spa places and from shiatsu, Thai, sports, accupressure and foot massages and I feel Charlie did all on this session. I saw this new massage place open up and thought that I would give it a try. I called to make sure that they take walks-ins, which they do. I asked for a 1 hour full body massage, which is $70. I asked if they could provide a Swedish massage but they didn't know what that was. That was a red flag, but I figured that I would still give them a try. They asked if a male masseuse was acceptable, but I politely declined and asked for a female. They gave me Suki. I wasn't feeling her technique at all. She used a lot of elbow in my shoulder blades and forearm on most of my body, which was painful. I think she was trying to give me a deep tissue massage. 90% of the time, I was face down, which was weird. When I was asked to turn over, I only had a small portion of my legs massaged and my head. I wasn't feeling this massage and won't be back. They might provide other services better, like foot and acupuncture but not full body massages. read more
