One thing that immediately stood out was how well-balanced the meat-to-rice ratio was in the sushi, every piece had a generous portion of fish without being overwhelmed by rice. The quality of the fish was incredibly clean and fresh, allowing the flavors to really shine. The added toppings on the nigiri are caviar, yuzu, truffle, and chili oil. Even better is that this deal is active ALL DAY. The fried oysters were another highlight. They were pleasantly meaty and substantial, and despite being fried, they didn't taste greasy or oil-soaked at all. The coating was light and crispy, giving them the perfect crunch without overpowering the oyster itself. Our server also gave us an excellent sweet sake recommendation, we enjoyed it so much that we ended up ordering two bottles. When we wanted something additional but didn't want to leave feeling overly stuffed, the staff suggested a fresh roll that was the perfect choice. For anyone debating what to order, the sushi combo alone is actually very satisfying and fills you up just the right amount. What truly elevated the experience was the hospitality. Every staff member we interacted with was warm and friendly. To top it all off, they helped celebrate my birthday by giving us the tempura ice cream that we ordered on the house! We didn't even mentioned it but they were so attentive I think they caught on. Great food, great prices, great recommendations, and exceptional service. I'll definitely be coming back!

Came in on a Saturday afternoon and was seated right away! This place only opened about a year ago, so if you haven't tried them yet, give them some love :) I had the Chiraishi Bowl so I could try a little of everything, and every single piece of fish I had was incredibly fresh and delicious. Additionally, the sushi rice was made perfectly and so flavorful I wished there was even more rice to go with the bowl! Usually this isn't the case at all, as I'm focused on the fish being the main star of the meal: but everything in the bowl truly tasted amazing. As you can ass, the presentation is spectacular too. There were premium cuts of tuna as well as incredibly delicious Uni, and as I was eating, the chef came by and asked how everything was. Turns out, he's also the owner of the place, and he said he drives to a seafood market and hand picks all the uni himself. Consensus: 5/5, definitely a local gem worth visiting!

The sushi here was such high-quality. We've never had anything like it. Every bite was solid 10/10 we really enjoyed both roles that we tried as well and it was great that it was buy one get 1 50% off super worth!

My wife and I were going next door to a restaurant called Off The Boat and went there by mistake. I was very impressed with the decor, Japanese with accents of dark heavy wood...very clean, modern, and tasteful decorated. It's fairly large and could comfortably seat 40-50 people. The service was great, no waiting and we could sit anywhere. Our server was very nice and helpful, pointing out special dishes. The drinks and appetizers were served quickly. My wife ordered the Bento dinner of sushi and tempura and I had the Yakisoba. I loved my dish, the portions were amazing and was seasoned nicely. The Bento was nicely played and the fish in the sushi was fresh. Definitely a place I would come back again

Good local spot to eat fresh sushi. They were playing the USA World Cup game on their big tv so that was a plus. We were seated right away and enjoyed the quick service. The restaurant is a little bit on the older side but the presentation of my sushi meal was next level awesome. I would come here again if I'm looking for a quick sushi bite.

After a massage next door, my friend and I opted to go here for dinner. It was already around 8pm and the place was empty with maybe 2 other customers so we were greeted and seated right away. Restaurant is clean, not too big, casual setting with a big screen tv on, sitting booths and a sushi bar. We ordered the bento box with chicken teriyaki, mixed tempura and salmon roll and a chicken udon. It wasn't long before the food came out. It came with Miso soup, salad and rice. Salad was fresh and dressing was like a vinaigrette dressing. Chicken teriyaki was tender and tasty, tempura was crispy and the salmon on the roll was fresh, rice was soft. Everything was pretty good. But I was pleasantly surprised with how flavorful the broth was on the udon. It was deliciously good. Server came out to advise us on their last call and if we wanted to order more which is good. Overall food and service is good. Reading the other reviews, it looks like they have good sushi and sashimi reviews so I think I will be back for that.

The salmon skin salad is one of my favorites at Usuki! There is a generous amount of salmon skin piled on some green salad. The dressing is a japanese dressing with a bit of wasabi that tastes so good all together! Will come back again!

Great food and service! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and came out quickly. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. Definitely recommend this place and will be back!

Local spot that I discovered through my sister. Solid menu with reasonable prices, good service and delicious fresh fish quality. They do BOGO 50% off for specialty rolls (slightly on the smaller side) so it's easy to eat multiple but they're quite delicious!

still 5/5 This place is still so good... Honestly expected the quality to have gone down but it has not one bit! The sushi and sashimi combo are honestly.... the best quality for price I've ever seen. And service is always great! Will always come back here.

Came here about a year later and it's still just as good as it was if not better! The owner has great customer service and the prices are super super affordable. Ordered a sashimi and sushi combination and the selection is pretty much perfect. Best regular sashimi I've had, which is a good benchmark for the quality of everything else. Yellowtail, Salmon, Fatty Tuna, Uni, Black Snapper are my favs. Very chill vibes with easy parking in a quiet area. Will come again with more people so I can have some of their food too :)

What a great dinner. We got green tea (classic, earthy, hot, refills), takoyaki (GENEROUS amount of tako), spicy tuna crispy rice, sashimi combo, chirashi bowl, Hawaiian volcano roll, and double Hamachi roll. Everything was excellent! The word that comes to mind over and over is generous. Incredible quality, large cuts of fish, beautiful presentation... what's not to love? Thank you Jenn for helping us out this evening!! We can't wait to be back.

You seriously HAVE to try the Yuzu Scallops. They're so tender, they basically melt in your mouth, and that hint of yuzu is just perfect. We also got the signature rolls since they're doing BOGO 50% off--the Baked Salmon Rolls and the spicy Devil Rolls are such a dream combo! I also got sashimi combination. The presentation was amazing! So fresh and the thickness of those sashimi is pleasing. Everything else was so fresh too, from the sashimi to the super juicy fish collar. Oh, and don't even think about leaving without getting the Matcha and Vanilla ice creams... trust me on this! Also, it's perfect for birthday celebrations! If you have a group of 6+ people, you get 15% off, which is such a steal. Plus, they have free parking, so no need to stress about finding a spot! Just make sure to call and make a reservation because they get pretty busy!

This place nickel and dimes customers for everything. We were charged $6 just to add cucumber to a roll, $4 to add gobo, and even an extra charge to add lemon. The biggest issue wasn't even the prices, it was that our waiter never mentioned any of these upcharges when we ordered. If you're going to charge premium prices for simple additions, customers deserve to be told beforehand. We've eaten at countless sushi restaurants over the years, and we've never been charged these kinds of fees for basic add-ons, especially without any warning. It felt deceptive and left a terrible impression. Restaurants don't lose customers over a few dollars. They lose them when customers feel misled. Transparent pricing builds trust. Hidden charges destroy it. We won't be coming back, and unfortunately, we can't recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an honest dining experience.

Our order came out very quickly after the realization. Unfortunately the lemon salmon sushi roll that came out seemed incredibly rushed. The roll wasn't tucked in so each piece we grabbed broke apart. The fried squid legs were good. The udon texture was good, but by the time our food came out, we weren't in the best mood. All the waiting and lack of service ruined our appetite. The 2nd server gave us a bag of salted noodle toppings to-go as a solace for the bad service? The parking lot is small but I never had an issue finding parking when visiting businesses in this plaza. I made reservations for my cousin's birthday about a month prior through Tock. I was charged $100/person deposit to make the reservation. This is refunded on the day of your visit. I know they allow for lunch walk ins, but I believe reservations are required for dinner since they are a small intimate sushi restaurant and the chefs need to prepare some of these ingredients ahead of time. We arrived 10 minute prior to reservation time as instructed and we were seated towards the center of the sushi bar. In theory this would typically be one of the best seats in the house at any other sushi restaurant, but with the counter top being so high, I didn't really get to see any of the prep. Comparing this component to other restaurants in this price range. Also I felt like the chefs could have been more engaging... once again, just comparing it to similar experiences in this price range. At the time of our visit, the Kuramoto Omakase Menu ($220/person) composed of sashimi, starter, appetizer, 9 pieces of chef choice nigiri, interlude, specialty, featured, and then conclusion. We started off with a caviar tin with an assortment of fish eggs and some uni. This was one of the best bites of the night. Next was the chawanmushi, very delicate, contains oyster, shitake mushroom, gingo nuts, and shiso leaf. For the appetizer, we had a bite of karasume soba with mullet fish egg and quail egg. It was light and delicate. The quail egg really tied all the flavors together. Then for the nigiri, we had seabream with yuzu skin, kinmedai, amberjack with red yuzu, ocean trout, black cod with black truffle, stripejack with pickled wasabi and poprice, toro with uni miso, hokkaido uni with caviar, and ocean perch seared. The black cod with black truffle was one of my favorite bites. The interlude was a uni rice with unagi. I actually don't like how the uni was so mixed into the rice. The taste was less distinct than if I had the uni on its' own. I ate the unigi and tried to salvage the bits of uni I saw but at this point I was getting full and could not eat all this rice. Their specialty was a wagyu wellington. The name was more impressive than the execution. It visually looks like a handheld pot pie. To make it heavier they put it on a bed of potatoes. As I took my first bite, there was no "wagyu" There was very little filling. I think they can adjust the size of the pastry dough to fit the amount of wagyu they used instead of a huge piece of pastry dough with light filling. The savory items conclude with their featured dish, which was a Japanese dashi soup. For the dessert, or the conclusion, we had a shiso granita made with plum wine and white wine. My cousin's birthday, and other celebrations, were acknowledged with a candle lit dessert. I want to extend my thanks to Megume-san who took great care of us the whole night by refilling my hot tea, and clearing our space expeditiously. She was so sweet she even got a cup of hot tea for the road. Interactions with her made us feel like valued guests. Our meal was mostly enjoyable and my cousin had an amazing birthday celebration. I was just disappointed in the lack of showmanship for a meal in this price range.
