Cut is generous but the quality of the fish is average-similar to the same grade you would get from H-Mart. One thing that immediately stood out was how well-balanced the meat-to-rice ratio was in the sushi, every piece had a generous portion of fish without being overwhelmed by rice. The quality of the fish was incredibly clean and fresh, allowing the flavors to really shine. The added toppings on the nigiri are caviar, yuzu, truffle, and chili oil. Even better is that this deal is active ALL DAY. The fried oysters were another highlight. They were pleasantly meaty and substantial, and despite being fried, they didn't taste greasy or oil-soaked at all. The coating was light and crispy, giving them the perfect crunch without overpowering the oyster itself. Our server also gave us an excellent sweet sake recommendation, we enjoyed it so much that we ended up ordering two bottles. When we wanted something additional but didn't want to leave feeling overly stuffed, the staff suggested a fresh roll that was the perfect choice. For anyone debating what to order, the sushi combo alone is actually very satisfying and fills you up just the right amount. What truly elevated the experience was the hospitality. Came in on a Saturday afternoon and was seated right away! This place only opened about a year ago, so if you haven't tried them yet, give them some love :) I had the Chiraishi Bowl so I could try a little of everything, and every single piece of fish I had was incredibly fresh and delicious. Additionally, the sushi rice was made perfectly and so flavorful I wished there was even more rice to go with the bowl! Usually this isn't the case at all, as I'm focused on the fish being the main star of the meal: but everything in the bowl truly tasted amazing. As you can ass, the presentation is spectacular too. There were premium cuts of tuna as well as incredibly delicious Uni, and as I was eating, the chef came by and asked how everything was. After a massage next door, my friend and I opted to go here for dinner. It was already around 8pm and the place was empty with maybe 2 other customers so we were greeted and seated right away. Restaurant is clean, not too big, casual setting with a big screen tv on, sitting booths and a sushi bar. We ordered the bento box with chicken teriyaki, mixed tempura and salmon roll and a chicken udon. It wasn't long before the food came out. It came with Miso soup, salad and rice. Salad was fresh and dressing was like a vinaigrette dressing. Chicken teriyaki was tender and tasty, tempura was crispy and the salmon on the roll was fresh, rice was soft. Everything was pretty good. But I was pleasantly surprised with how flavorful the broth was on the udon. It was deliciously good. Server came out to advise us on their last call and if we wanted to order more which is good. Overall food and service is good. I keep telling myself, stop trusting Yelp when it comes to sushi. And yet I got Yelp'd into trying another 4+ star sushi place that was incredibly disappointing. Sashimi platter was passable but I left three pieces of fish on the plate because it was not worth eating. To be fair, the cuts were very large--certainly larger than most any other sushi place around. But who cares about the size of the cut when it's clearly inferior quality?! The special rolls (BOGO) were even worse. Could not finish either and the Spider Roll in particular was inedible trash. If you care about actual quality instead of BOGO deals, skip this place. Service was slow but they had one sushi chef preparing for the few dine in guests and what seemed like many online orders. All in I spent $100 even with the BOGO deal, and I would honestly say there are 100 other places I would have rather spent that $100. Excellent sushi and service! Enjoyed lunch here with my mother today and was very impressed. The sushi was very fresh and beautifully presented, I regret not taking photos of our lunch combos as they arrived but will update my review next week when I return. Ambiance is very cute and calm, a traditional sushi bar with American style seating as well as sushi bar seating option. We ordered 2 item lunch combo (chicken teriyaki and sushi) for $20 +$4 sushi upgrade and sushi lunch combo for $26 with cucumber salad $8 and the (real) pickled wasabi $3. The food was delicious, with good portions and freshly cooked to order. The fish was delicate, perfect texture and very fresh! My moms teriyaki chicken was a generous portion and delicious, the sauce must be made in house as it wasn't overly thickened and she says that "it was excellent, even the grilled onions beneath the chicken were so tasty". My own sushi combo was phenomenal and included many of my favorites (such as toro). The service was fantastic, the waiter checked on us very frequently and was so nice and helpful. I truly felt like I was the only party in here because he was so attentive (despite there being a few other smaller tables and one large group having a party in the back room). The price was very reasonable as well, however I would love to see an option that could allow to substitute cucumber salad for the lunch for a small up charge as we both love cucumber salad but I'm aware this is not offered at this time. This is my new sushi spot! They opened in the last couple of months and I love the experience so far. The owner recognized us from the last time we came in and took care of us. We wish him the very best and hope to see it get busy. I really have been enjoying every sushi piece we've had. Very fresh and the owner has been working in industry for years.
