Went here for a grand opening today, got some free yogurt. Can't go wrong with something that's free well maybe sometime. I was greeted with a cup for a free yogurt when I walked in the door. First impression was wow they have a lot of flavors to choose from and it's a self serve also. I got the matcha green tea and taro. Next stop was the toppings area, there's a lot to choose from but i decided to get blackberries, captain crunch and also added some caramel sauce. Overall the flavors on these yogurt were amazing and flavorful that taste like the real thing. Toppings were fresh and it doesn't look like it has been there for days. It's a chain...as such it is consistent in what you come to expect from a chain. But the locale is really the selling point. It being in alameda landing is a big bonus especially if you're like me and have no more Sunday night's out on the town. its really awesome that this yogurt place is near my house. i was going to give this place one star because i bit into a captain crunch and it cut the roof of my mouth but the frozen yogurt managed to numb the pain. i ended up taking some home to give to my cat. i learned he loves yogurt as much as i do but he seems to hate mochi. its hard to look at him the same after my recent discovery of his hate towards mochi so i might be giving him away. 5 stars for yogurtland. 1 star for my cat read more

The closest location to my house. They have the best variety of flavors of any location I've visited. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Parking is decent. I finally made a trip to Yogurtland here in Alameda. Like any typical frozen yogurt spot, self-serve yogurt and toppings. You pay by the pound at the end. Each ounce is $0.42 cents, so don't go too crazy on toppings. I got a small cup of two flavors, one being vanilla and the other is their seasonal Ghiradelli frozen hot chocolate. I was really excited to try the frozen hot chocolate, but it was a let-down. There was no excitement to it, basically, it tastes like a sweeter chocolate. I was better off with just picking vanilla. As for toppings, I chose fresh cut strawberries, fruit loops, mochi, and captain crunch. I really enjoyed the mochi topping, but the cereals tasted a little stale. I love the fact that this place is really clean and well kept. Most places I've been to are a bit dirty. Will come back here when I am in the mood for frozen yogurt. I came here on Friday 9/11/20 between 8-830pm and the staff was very unfriendly and rude to me. The whole visit I felt rushed and unwelcome. I was told that I could not pay with cash even though the signs in the restaurant state you can use cash if you have the exact amount. That's fine, but it sure would have been nice for them to inform me of that BEFORE It was time to pay. But the thing that really bothered me was the carelessness and blatant disregard for customer safety. First of all, a female staff member that had her phone sitting on a yogurt station. I watched her text on her phone, then drop the phone on the floor and proceed to serve yogurt to another customer without washing her hands or changing gloves. I also watched a male employee lock the doors before 8:30, then unlock them for a customer, and serve him yogurt and spoon without washing his hands. They didn't even care that people were watching them. I am horrified. read more

The froyo here is decent but hard to enjoy it if you received a very bad vibe from one of the staff. Personally I was not offended however, customer service from a particular girl working there could use a lot improvement since she does behave like she hates it there; handing a sample cup with force and no courtesy, didn't offered to help bag my cups of froyo, didn't bothered asking if I wanted to put my number in to count reward points which I remembered after taking too long of a long time putting my own froyo into my own to-go bag. She replied with "no" with a smiley "whoops" without even apologizing or so. Luckily there is a way to add points back into my rewards account from my receipt online. Overall, it's sad that me as a customer was even more courtesy than she could be, I was saying "please" and "thank you" even more times than she did smh. 2 stars for below average customer service, more than 1 star because luckily the froyo was tastier than her customer service. read more

So I used to come here often until my bad experience. First of all, yogurt is always on the low and nearly empty and can be watery at times. But the main issue I have in this store is the awful and rude customer service. My kids and I come in here usually during evening and it seems like the night staff is lacking on their job. They are really rude and instead of greeting the customers they are disturbingly loud and giggling with one another. A couple weeks ago one employee (a male African American around 18-20 years old) refused to give me a sample cup because he had already given me two.I did receive two sample cups but was eager to try a different flavor, however unfortunately I was not able to. Well, we just had dinner with some close friends and I promise my son some "ice cream", so we headed back to Target shopping center and behold...Yogurtland. I wanted a healthy alternative to ice cream, so what my son doesn't know won't hurt him. My family had good experiences with this chain in Southern California. I can't comment on the frozen treat because I'm lactose intolerant, but my son has all my strengths and none of his father's weakness. So as soon we walk in, my 4 year old recognize the place, it was like he hit the jackpot at a Vegas slot machines. Like other Yogurtlands I've been too, it was very clean, well lit and a friendly staff. One of the staff offer me sample cups, I call them the tarter sauce cups. It reminded me of my good old days in elementary school on fish stick days with side of tarter sauce. I told her my issues with dairy products and I was here for my son. She insisted I try their sorbet which didn't have milk products called Rocket pops. It wasn't too shabby, it actually tasted like those rocket pop ice cones they use to sell on the ice cream trucks back in my days. The wife and my kid loaded up on their bowl and toppings and enjoy a little heavenly bliss. My son's smile grew bigger as his mom poured in different froyo and toppings. As they were paying, the staff was engaging and friendly to my son, so this added to Yogurtland experience. Like I said, I can't comment on the product, but seeing my son happy is a sweet treat in itself. It's like he won a Vegas slot tournament with "ice cream" as the prize. read more

My families favorite yogurt shop in the east bay. Clean shop. Nice workers. Variety of flavors that make everyone happy. Our favorites were Rocket Pop, Madagascar Vanilla and Toasted Coconut.
