Everyone knows what Yogurtland is about. This location is in a little shopping center and is kind of tucked away. Whenever I've been to this Yogurtland, it seems to be dirty and disorganized and I always feel way too rushed to get out (even when there's no other customers). There is always half-filled topping containers and frozen yogurt all over the trays at the bottom of the machines. Finally a Yogurtland I like! Truthfully, I hated Yogurtland. The one in the Quad in Whittier is horrible. Very few options for yogurt and no butterfinger pieces? I asked a staffer what the cheesecake tasted like he said "I have no idea". So, my husband really wanted chocolate or coffee yogurt and I happened to be driving near the Fullerton one...and it was amazing!! The two people working were very nice and knowledgeable! The place was clean. They were enforcing social distancing and cleaning between customers. They had numerous yogurt flavors...I got the chocolate soufflé and hazelnut cafe. Both were very tasty!!! Our family stopped in here for a cool treat on a warm SoCal day in mid-may based on Yelp reviews + the check-in discount. Everything was good, price was very good for what we got and the clerk was helpful and friendly. We ate outside at a table and enjoyed the nice weather. It was a little bit small inside and the layout was a little odd, but not terrible. Everything seemed clean and tidy when we visited. Four stars seems very appropriate. I normally don't complain about this stuff but they technically didn't open right at 11:00 and when they did open the machines were watery so they weren't set yet. This Yogurtland is located in the shopping center on Harbor and Orangethorpe. They offered a good amount of choices although two of the machines were down and one was a popular one. The toppings area looked like it was kept well filled and cleaned. But the tables were dirty and sticky. Looked like there were two employees (Cashier and the other in the back). And the fruit cut up for toppings looked extremely fresh, which is rare at Yogurtlands I go to (generally they look a bit soggy and slightly past their prime). The only reason this place isn't getting five stars from me is that the girl working wasn't the friendliest, and she looked upset when a little kid asked her to use the bathroom and she just shook her head no. She could have said something like "Sorry we don't have a public restroom but next door at XYZ place they do!" Or something along those lines. One star for cleanliness because this place was DIRRRTY! The doors and walls were dirty and all scratched up! The chairs looked like they had not been cleaned in a very long time. I mean it's one thing for tables and floors to get dirty because you get a customer that leaves it that way, but it's another thing for the place to look like that because of neglect. Half of the issues would be resolved with a good scrubbing and Clorox Wipes. Painting the wall is a cheap solution too! Clearly the owners just care about profit. Possibly train your employees to explain how they charge their customers. I generally don't even bother with reviews on Yelp unless it's something REALLY good or REALLY bad. I've been holding back on reviewing this particular Yogurtland in hopes they would improve, but tonight's visit just made me so annoyed that I can't hold it back any longer. First, this location is generally dirty. On more than one occasion, I have slipped on smashed fruit and yogurt blobs all over the floor. I realize the customers are not always careful, but when the employees are standing in the back laughing and talking loudly and continue to do so once the mess is brought to their attention, there is no excuse! The tables almost always have dried sticky yogurt stuck on them, and I haven't dared to venture into the bathroom. I've noticed that most of the employees (there are a few exceptions, including the cashier tonight who was quite pleasant) are generally rude and act bothered to ring you up or provide you with a sample cup. Now, as if the cleanliness and general rudeness of the employees wasn't deterring enough, tonight the MANAGER kicked everyone out 25 minutes before closing. Working in food service myself at a cafe, I understand the lengths that go into cleaning a place, but kicking your customers out 25 minutes prior to closing is unacceptable. Not only is it rude, but it is unnecessary! After tonight, I'm not sure that i will be returning to this location. Sure, the yogurt is yummy, but is it worth being treated as a bother? Sis, if you're reading this, I apologize. After Lee's Sandwiches, GMIT, Sis and I headed over to Toys R Us, and we were going for froyo afterwards. But GMIT and I got so engrossed in the electronics section, that Sis ran out of time and had to leave. Afterwards, GMIT and I finally sallied forth searching for yogurt nearby, and wound up here. This Yogurtland has the funkiest most fun flavors I've seen at a froyo joint. I got Strawberry Cheesecake, Peanut Butter, and the chocolate Cake Batter. I dumped a few cheesecake bites and some translucent pearls filled with mango gel. The yogurt was fantastic, and those mango pearls were quite fun to eat (for some reason, GMIT didn't like her pearls, so I ate hers, too). One weird thing about the place: if you eat in, they charge you tax. If you take it to go, they don't. So GMIT and I took our yogurt and ate on the grassy area outside. Later, Sis called and grilled me (yes, she really should have been an attorney) as to whether I'd bought anything at Toys R Us, and whether we'd gotten froyo. Apparently she had been looking forward to the froyo, and I was a very insensitive big sister to not notice that. So Sis, again, I apologize. I'll treat you to froyo next time we go for froyo. It was very hard to pry myself away from my Golden Spoon loyalty. After all, my first frozen yogurt experience was with Golden Spoon, and we all remember our first. But just because it was my first, doesn't mean it was the best. I'm glad I didn't stay sentimental for long. What I like about Yogurtland is that you get to do it yourself, and DIY frozen yogurt isn't like DIY building a house. There's no real messing up, and the worst that can happen is you put too many gummi bears on your yogurt. But, that's also the best part: you can put as much yogurt and/or radical toppings you want! Only if I could have come here as a kid. I would have piled on the toppings Golden Spoon only sparsely gave me. The benefit in DIY frozen yogurt isn't just for customers (kudos to you savvy business men). The owners have to be raking in the dough on this one. Because you can put as much crap on your yogurt as you want, you will. It plays into our (I say "our" so I don't feel so bad about what I'm gonna say next) desire to have it all, now. And it ads up quick. At $0.30 and ounce, before you know it, you've spent $7 on two cups of yogurt. Why are business owners so smart? Me likey Yogurtland. Sorry Golden Spoon. read more

If you close at 11 don't turn your machines off at 1030 and have everything wiped down and all the chairs and tables put away, this is very unwelcoming. The yogurt was basically a soft serve. The girl up front even asked us if we were taking our yogurt to go or eating there (but where can I even sit?). I don't go to yogurt land for soft serve, if I wanted that I'd go get it. Someone should check their staff and maybe give them proper training when it comes to a place closing at 11. On a side note, the cheesecake bites tasted like lemon? No idea why but I just thought I'd mention that as well. So... a few problems with this yogurtland location. 1.) they need to check the consistency of their yogurt here because for some reason the yogurt that comes out of their machines here comes out weird. let's just say that the chocolate flavor yogurt ends up looking like something that comes out of your body... 2.) so this place advertises that they close at midnight. which means that you should be allowed to stay inside until midnight. I understand that workers want to start cleaning up earlier a bit but the worker here straight up asked my friend and I to sit outside at 11:30pm. not cool... that leads me to the 3rd problem 3.) do they not understand that there are some weird people that walk around this area late at night. therefore, why would you ask your customers to sit outside when you're open? if anything, this will detract me from ever coming to this location because i just wouldn't feel safe eating and enjoying my yogurt. 4.) last problem. so most yogurtlands have that machine where they dispense water. at 10:30pm, the machine was not there. when i asked them why it wasn't there, they said that it had gotten busy. I'm sorry. but when I got there, there were like maybe 10 people there. ive seen way busier yogurtlands with lines out the door and they still have water for their guests. i'm sorry. LAME! conclusion: don't come to this yogurtland. go to the one near Cal State Fullerton. Worth the extra 10 minutes drive. read more

One flaw about Yogurtland, their yogurt melts easily compared to Golden Spoon. Wide variety of interesting flavors, some of which are asian inspired (taro, red bean, mango), and props for one of the cheapest self serve yogurt places in Cal. The tartness of the plain is easily topped by Pinkberry's tartness and from my recent visit of Pinkberry, they're toppings are getting better. Yogurtland better step up cuz this cold, yet fierce combination is getting hotter. read more
