Oh the famous yogurtland. Everyone from California always RAVES about yogurtland this, yogurtland that. I had to try it. I was at first, surprised that they had a red velvet flavor. What? Seriously? I didn't have the guts to try it. I however, sampled about every other flavor- the choice selection is plenty, which I like. The chocolate coconut truffle...tasted like a mounds bar, the tiramisu tasted like tiramisu, and the pomegranate raspberry tart...was very fruity. I just chose the original tart, just to see if I could start telling the differences. Once again, the fruit was fresh, and the toppings didn't really alter too much from other froyo places..except their mochi looked a little tanner. haha. However, although yogurtland's original is pretty tart....there's this type of gritty-ness to it. I can't explain it. It's not a super obvious gritty-ness...but definitely not the smoothest I've ever had. It wasn't bad, but not amazingly oh my goodness that's the best froyo ever- type as well. Yogurtland Fullerton was the first Yogurtland store in OC. That's not why I'm giving it 5 stars, but they do say that the original is always the best! You walk in telling yourself, "I am just going to get some plain, fat-free froyo, and I'll top it off simply, with some fruit and nuts and granola" and you walk out with a pound of red velvet cupcake batter blend piled to the ceiling with chocolate chips, smothered with syrup, and topped with cheesecake cubes, Oreo crumbles, peanut butter cups, and cookie dough bites. I love Yogurtland I love love love yogurtland but today I didn't I just moved to the area from La Habra and of course I had to change Yogurtlands to a closer one and this one here is it....but I hate it. I loved the location but when I went inside and went to get some yogurt....it was dirty everything was so dirty. The yogurt dispensers were sloppy and there was yogurt on em and on the floor. I got what I wanted and went for the fruit, well there was no fruit it was not kept up and the topping bar was a nasty mess, I ended up just getting some almonds, well the tiny bit that was left in the container. I went ahead and paid and the cashier was not the friendliest. Completely ignored my greeting and my husbands greeting and looked really sad. I hope she's ok because her eyes looked like she was not having a good day, poor thing. I'm not going to complain about that because we all have a bad day and I'm sure today wasn't hers. Now let me tell you about the nasty kitchen...the door was open so I could see inside. Well the trash was overflowing, the floor looked like a hot mess and the employee back there looked confused and also a little sloppy in her uniform. Overall this place is pretty bad. It's dirty, gross, and pretty bad. I'll stick to my La Habra location. Maybe the owner of employees of this place should pay the LH location a visit and get some pointers from their customer service and cleanliness because this place is lacking all of the above. I love Yogurtland!!! I work in DTF and my best friend and I used to go to this Yogurtland every week during our break before she moved. I still come here once in a while because its close and I love their plain tart yogurt :) All the employees here are always very nice. They used to have a stamp card thing and after 5 visits you get a free t-shirt. My bestie and I both got one. lol. I was just at YL today for restaurant week. Boyfriend and I each got a cup, thought we had to get a lot to make 10 oz, turns out we got 25 oz. LOL Go take advantage of this deal before it ends!! My fave aboout this YL: their granola! I hate how some YL have crushed Nature Valley bars as granola. This YL has the real stuff. I am already a Yogurtland fan and out of all the froyo places out there, they are my favorite... but after my last visit to this location I am even more a fan if that is at all possible. The yogurt is always consistent and good. But what has got me craving Yogurtland again are the Strawberry filled boba balls. They are a small ball the size of a boba, maybe even smaller and it is filled with a strawberry filling/juice that pops in your mouth and gives you a mouthful of flavor. I came in here thinking it was like any other yogurt place that I've been to such as Pinkberry or Red Mango but the flavor of the yogurt is completely different than those two. The cheesecake yogurt had no flavor and their limited edition smores one just tasted like a weak chocolate. The topping selection isn't as big and the fruits don't look fresh as others.
