And the $1 price would only be honored from 10 AM to 2 PM local time. This Jamba in Fullerton is located in Amerige Heights Town Center on the northeast corner of Malvern and Gilbert. I parked on the west side of the parking lot thinking that the entrance would have been on that side of the building, but it was actually on the other side facing the entry road towards the roundabout. I arrived just after 12:30 PM, and as soon as I entered, Hailey was there to greet me. She was pretty upbeat as if she were excited to celebrate National Smoothie Day herself! I told her I was intent on ordering a $1 small smoothie. Which flavor did I choose? I had checked the nutritional facts on Jamba's website before I left home and noticed that the Mango-A-Go-Go had over 60% more sugar than the Strawberry Whirl. Not wanting to go on a sugar rush this early in the longest day of the year, I went with the Strawberry Whirl. And man, the girls working at this location were whirling these smoothies like it was the last day of business. I was surprised that they were done with my Strawberry Whirl before I could even finish paying! I didn't think it was mine, but Hailey did mention it was and that they were cranking out orders very swiftly so as to keep up with the demand. I could have snatched the smoothie and left without paying, but obviously, I wouldn't want to commit such a heinous act for something that should be more than affordable. After paying, Hailey also gave me a BOGO 50% off any watermelon item coupon, which I honestly wasn't expecting, so that was quite cool. The coupon would work at any Jamba location and expires in a couple of months. The watermelon items include a Watermelon Breeze Smoothie, Watermelon Skies Smoothie, or Watermelon Sunshine Bowl. They only have two tables inside with one already being occupied and the other having no chairs. I just wanted to set my smoothie down for a minute so I could snap a few photos and also insert a straw into the smoothie. And wow, that smoothie was absolutely refreshing with a pretty good strawberry taste that tasted like the start of summer! I inhaled it so quickly that I was almost done with the smoothie by the time I left for my next destination. Only drawback was that the smoothie melted a little quicker than I thought, but since it was getting quite warm outside, I wouldn't ding them a star for that. As soon as I left Jamba, I noticed there was a handful of other customers who had followed me inside; the line was literally out the door when just a couple minutes ago, there was no line at all! I was so relieved that I came in right before that rush of customers trying to get their hands on an ice cold smoothie for a George Washington. I had a pretty stacked day afterwards, so I was really appreciative that they got me in and out in a jiffy. And did I mention how upbeat and bubbly Hailey was? Clearly, math does not work that way, but compliments of Nekter, I got a reward for a $6 Small Peanut Butter Smoothie, valid that day only. I hadn't been to Nekter in so long now that prices have gone up and my very few Nekter points have already expired. However, I was planning a day trip to La Habra, and there just happened to be a Nekter there! This Nekter Juice Bar is located in Westridge Plaza on the southeast corner of Beach and Imperial. It's in a small L-shaped strip mall of eateries adjacent to Beach Blvd and directly across from Walmart. When I came in, I saw a female employee (Ariana?) sweeping the floor right next to a lounge area in the near corner of the shop. Already, I was starting to feel some cozy vibes and could tell it would make for a nice place to kick back and relax after a long day of shopping. Ariana greeted me and asked if I was here to pick up an order; I told her I wanted to redeem that reward on my account, so she went all the way around the pickup counter to take my order. I thought there would have been only one choice for the Peanut Butter Smoothie, but Ariana said there were actually four: Health Nut, PB Mocha, Chocolate Peanut Butter, and PB&J. The menu was posted closer to the front door, which I find odd, especially because a couple of customers had just come in at that point. Not wanting to be that one customer holding up the line, I just went with a childhood favorite: PB&J. Always good in sandwich form, but in a smoothie?! Let's find out! The wait was only three minutes before Ariana was finished with my smoothie, so it was a quick stop. During those three minutes, the two customers in front had gotten their order, which included a takeout bag, and left. I suspect they had an online order, hence why it was an even quicker stop for them. The peanut butter was on top, and the jelly was on the bottom. Since the small 16 oz cup was quite small, it was difficult mixing it together, especially with how thick the smoothie was. Not only that, I didn't taste much of the jelly inside the smoothie, so it was really more like a MPBANJ (Mostly Peanut Butter and Almost No Jelly) smoothie lol. That smoothie is normally $9.39, and I would have been a little unhappy paying $9.39 for a smoothie that didn't exude as much jelly flavor in spite of how much jelly there appeared to be at first. Nevertheless, it was a tasty and refreshing smoothie, but I wish I had gotten a different PB one instead. I certainly would have considered the PB Mocha, which contains coffee, but it was close to 5 PM when I visited, and I think coffee this late in the afternoon would have given me insomnia that night. Service was good from the two female employees inside the shop. They were pretty welcoming to me and the party of two who came in after me. However, Ariana missed an 'e' when entering my name at the register, so my name was Drek lol. That was really the only flaw I saw from her. Overall, not bad!
