All Yogurtland locations are not the same, they are managed (and especially priced) very differently, even those in and around the OC. And this Lake Forest location is managed far BETTER than any of the Yogurtlands where we visit around Irvine, where they do not even offer any sample cups. In fact, we will likely make an extra trip to Lake Forest for Yogurtland instead of Irvine in the future. We were very happy to find that sample cups were offered and we had the chance to try the new flavors, that has always been my experience at every Yogurtland. The machines are clean, toppings fresh and it is very comfortable inside. There was one staff working here on a Saturday afternoon and she was very good to help us out and even let us weigh our yogurt beforehand to decide if we wanted to add more toppings (we sometimes try to limit toppings as the kids can go crazy with the candy). There are only a few tables and chairs here, but there is additional outside seating in case it gets crowded (and it did get packed when we were here on a hot day). Finally, I liked the transparency of this shop, they clearly showed the price per ounce for yogurt on the large board, this is something we had always appreciated about most Yogurtland shops, this can be hard to find at several other nearby shops so it was a welcome sight to see everything as it should be at this store. There is another shop just 15 minutes away that is as much as 25% more expensive in cost per yogurt so I prefer to give my business to this Lake Forest shop that operates honestly and reasonably. read more

OK so here's the scoop, yogurt scoop. I don't know what flavors I want because they have no sample cups. My daughter said last month they had no cups as well. So it's been very inconsistent, and I'm not familiar with all the flavors because I didn't consistently come here myself. I shared this with the guy working here. I don't think he cares. I thought that Yogurtland would be a good idea and not that pricey. I called to see if they could accommodate us and spoke with Kumar- he checked with the owner and called the next day to confirm that they'd reserve it for us. We bought $100 in gift cards and got a total of $20 in $5 bonus cards for a Cyber Monday deal this year. Every time we went to this Yogurtland, the bonus cards weren't accepted, and our digital gift cards didn't work. We have been trying to work with Yogurtland customer service to get these issues addressed. On December 20, customer service assured us, "We just received word that it looks like all technical errors on the store's end have been successfully resolved." With the bonus cards about to expire, we decided to try the bonus cards again. When we got to the store, we asked the clerk to test the bonus cards to see if they would work. He said he couldn't because he's not a manager, and the manager isn't there. We had to wait until we rung up the order. When it was time to pay, the bonus cards weren't accepted. Not only that, the gift card on the app was not accepted. We tried to use a $5.00 reward we signed up for the app. The clerk said it went through, but we were still charged the full amount of the yogurt of $7.79, which we had to pay with Apple Pay. And during this time, a large line backed up behind us, causing us great embarassment. We let Yogurtland customer service know about our recent dissatisfaction. After a month of broken promises and several humiliating and upsetting experiences at that store, we will never set foot in there again. read more

I was very disappointed in how my transaction was handled today. After I had paid for my 3 yogurt cups, I discovered that 1 off my yogurt was free. When I asked if I could get another cup of yogurt for free, since it's a special promo of BOGO. There were two older men there that told me 'No'. They said it had to be in the same transaction. I said it didn't make sense because it's technically free. They replied, 'it has to be on the receipt or my manager will accuse me of stealing. I asked, 'where's your manager?' The man said, 'he is not here'. It was pretty clear these older men were some type of supervisor or store lead but they didn't want to take the responsibility to make things right for the customer. It's pretty petty for the store to not give me my free cup when it was a Yogurtland wide promotion because I didn't have it on my receipt. Stopped in for some froyo with a friend who adores the stuff. I'm not all that excited about froyo but I went along with the intent to enjoy more toppings than frozen yogurt. At 8pm on a weekday night the place was jam packed! Grabbing a cup and maneuvering along the wall of froyo machines was a challenge as there were so many bodies trying to get to their favorite flavor. I immediately found that my top two choices were not dispensing anything. So I ended up with salted caramel pecan and s'mores. There were a lot of toppings offered, all well labeled and the area was kept tidy. I tried several (mochi, chocolate chips, butterfinger...and more but I'm already feeling embarrassed) and attempted to get some syrup to pour over the top but the caramel dispenser just pumped air as the employee at the register stared at me glumly. So I gave up and checked out. The s'mores actually did taste like s'mores while the caramel pecan didn't really have much flavor at all. The location was super crowded when I went and there was only one girl working in the whole front of the store. She did not look happy and looked like she absolutely despised being there. When we decided to pay, we had some coupons that said that it would work at ANY yogurt land location and she completely refused to try to read the fine print. She kept saying "nope, you cant nope" and I kept telling her to read it and had to basically point at the card and read it out loud for her. After a few minutes she said "fine" and accepted it. How do you review a Yogurtland? Service: The staff has been consistently polite and welcome me when I enter the store. The location is great for a yogurt place. The store itself is consistently clean. The decor is Yogurtland 101. The bonus is they have a water fountain which some Yogurtland's don't have. Five stars for that. The prices are average for froyo. I also enjoy collecting the spoons and using them at home. They are quite a few designs and like how they change them. Although I have yet to buy a giant spoon mostly because I have to pay for that one and I see it as impractical. While the variety of yogurt consists of they standard lines of Tart, Pistachio, Strawberry, along with vanilla and chocolate ice cream. Tge rest they rotate in different flavors every few weeks that offers variety. Which I enjoy sampling with their sample cups. The only ding I have in this review is that I have to ask for the sample cups now. In the past, they used to have sample cups out in the open where I didn't have to ask for them but could just grab them and go.
