I came here on Saturday late morning, and there was only one customer ahead of us who had ordered. Great, clean, inviting and bright interior with inspirational quotes on the wall to energize, motivate and get me in that mindset to run those 13.16873 miles on the beach. I have to mention the off the charts energy of the young man Michael here who greeted me, welcomed me, suggested a great smoothie( which tasted exquisite), was so polite, made a gorgeous one and just represented this company so well. The Strawberry Banana smoothie is delicious and almost gone. Nektar also has fresh pressed juices, protein waffles, iconic and supercharged bowls, parfaits( build your own too) and a nice selection of protein bars. This store is small and compact but with comfortable seating for 24. It is in a shopping center full of several restaurants on Rockfield Blvd just off the 5 Freeway. HORRIBLE!! Stay away!!! I went there this past Sunday to pick up some shots and juice for a friend. There were two girls working. The one with eyebrow piercing was not only throwing things around and giving EVERYONE attitude and not even answering questions, she made me and others feel so uncomfortable we collectively decided to boycut this place and let all of our friends and family know. We also felt really bad for the treatment she was giving the other girl who was really trying her best to do her job but we could tell how much this vile cow was mistreating her to the point of not being able to function. We stopped by Nektar after a pool day and was exhausted. I noticed a poster for the newer pineapple items that looked amazing. I am putting my vote in now Nektar....keep the pineapple bowl all year! I beg of you! It was like a healthy, delicious version of pineapple whip but way way better!! The granola is the best and adds such a great crunch to the sweet refreshing pineapple bowl. Who knew coconut whip cream could be so good! Next time instead of pineapple I am asking for strawberries. Can't wait! This is not normally a place I would come to on my own. I was meeting a friend for lunch but at the 11th hour was surprised to be told they had just started a juice cleanse so could we meet here. There are an abundant number of eateries in the plaza this shop is located at so I didn't mind. But upon arrival I decided to go ahead and order something from Nekter. Normally this plaza has horrendous parking during weekday lunchtime but we lucked out and found a spot right in front of the shop. We were warmly greeted and, after a few minutes of closely evaluating my options, I ordered the Protein Power bowl. I was asked if I wanted whey or pea protein (I had no clue so picked whey based solely on my not being overly fond of peas) and a few minutes later my bowl was ready. We sat at one of the outdoor tables and I must admit my bowl looked great. To quote from their menu it consisted of "strawberry, banana, cocoa nibs, coconut flakes, vanilla protein, and housemade cashew milk blended together and topped with peanut butter protein granola, fresh strawberry, blueberry, banana, a scoop of peanut butter, and superfood blend" (ah...the mysterious "superfood blend"). I didn't know whether to eat it as presented or to stir it up; the latter seemed to be less boring so that's what I did. I was really pleased with this bowl. It had a multitude of flavors and textures, all of which I liked. Maybe what surprised me the most was that when I finished I was full. It was a good sized container but I was expecting to still be wanting a hot dog or something after I finished. Nope. I was quite satisfied. I'm not certain what the rest of the menu might taste like but I'd definitely not hesitate to order the Protein Power bowl again. And yes, I might even be back on my own sometime. read more

I got the vanilla whey protein in it (if you're not used to protein powder taste, i wouldn't get it. I'm not a fan) i can't tell if it's the matcha that has the aftertaste or the protein powder. But it was because my bowl went from $ 11.25 to almost $14.00. I spend over $28.00 for 2 bowls. It's not the cost it is that I could not customize my bowl but was charged for subbing out something that was already in it just a different kind. The person at the register had to ask the girl making drinks if I could get the apple no because we don't have frozen apples. Again makes no sense. Most likely never going back. Finally tried Nekter juice bar after years! I never heard anything special about these juice bars so I never gave it a shot, but I was craving something sweet and on the healthy side. This location was pleasantly clean and the two workers were very helpful and welcoming. They have a standing fridge with quick serve options as well, which I thought was rather convenient if I ever wanted to pop in for a quick drink or wellness shot. Only downside was that they did not have any fresh oranges to juice for my drink. Instead they used their distributor's bottled orange juice. Wanted granola soooo bad and they do have gluten free granola but both containers are right next to each other and there was granola all over the place! I know they must get mixed up. How could they not? There was granola on the rims of the containers and they are butted up against each other. Neither container is covered either which explains why their granola is so hard to chew! I'm guessing it's stale. I've noticed this place cannot raise their level of positive reviews beyond 3 stars and I wonder if all I've mentioned is an indication as to why. While we waited, the three employees talked crap about their shifts and other coworkers loudly using swear words for everyone in store to hear. So off putting!
