Cold Stone has been around for quite a while so most of you know the routine. There are three different sized cups to pick from depending on how big a scoop you want. Choose your flavor of ice cream plus a crumbled candy, cookie, or perhaps just a syrup to mix in. They smash it together on a cold stone (hence the name of the place) and present the delicious mix into your anxious hands to enjoy. This location is at the Foothill Ranch Food Festival (Food Court), on a far end where at one time a Nestle's cookie shop resided. It was a hot day and I was on my way to a nearby store when I spotted their sign and thought it was just what I needed. The young women working here were very efficient, cheerful, and interacted with customers in a friendly manner. I looked over the ice cream and mix-in choices and decided on a medium sized ('Love It") scoop of coffee ice cream with crumbled Heath Bar mixed in. Yes, the Heath Bar still exists; there is a cult of us that still like it. I watched as the spatulas slapped the ice cream mercilessly, combining the Heath Bar crumbles thoroughly within it. It was done in a couple minutes and I was out the door. There is no indoor seating but the food court has a lot of outdoor seating, most of it shaded. I sat and enjoyed the light, sweet flavor of the coffee ice cream and sweet toffee/chocolate crumbles mixed within. I prefer a deeper flavor of coffee ice cream but this was certainly still a delicious treat. Until recently the folks in Foothill Ranch only had a B&R for their ice cream so this is a welcome addition to the community. read more

I have always loved, Cold Stone. Their ice cream is tasty and I like all their flavor combinations. The service is good and the staff are polite. I honestly don't like that I am thinking two stars for Cold Stone in Foothill Ranch. They're usually a four for me until the last visit, which maybe it for a while. I really hope they improve because I like having them so close to home. Our most recent experience with Cold Stone, was not the greatest. As usual, staff was great, but the price I paid was outrageous for what we received. Let me elaborate. WHAT WE ORDERED: 3 ice creams, 1 shake 1) Two of the three ice creams were the Love It size and the third was a kids portion. The kid size was a tiny amount. Not even a scoop. I was shocked, my jaw dropped. I was charged $4.50 for this insanely miniscule amount. That was maddening but I'm not one to be rude and fight with any service staff or anyone for that matter. The ice cream was really soft and already thawed. It was actually already melting by the time it was handed to us, and dripping while we were paying. 2) The cookies and cream ice cream shake literally looked like chocolate milk. You could swish it around like it was liquid. The shake was so sweet that it burned our throats. Cookies and cream shakes are still supposed to look more vanilla in color with speckles of Oreo cookies throughout, not chocolate. We took this home but ended up throwing it away. It was too much and was such a waste. Unfortunately for us, we had arrived right at closing time, so when we realized that the shake was ridiculously too sweet, it was too late. We couldn't ask them to fix the drink. So we're going to take a break from Cold Stone for a while. We may return later this year, we'll see. read more

Friendly staff and very clean store! We got a large strawberry ice cream with brownies and sprinkles to share. We came for the ice cream but walked out with huge smiles because the service is so sweet (no pun intended) and good! There were plenty of ice cream cakes readily available in the fridge for purchase! Will definitely be back! read more

They don't offer free cup of water even with the purchase of ice cream. Have yet to seen an ice cream store that refused to offer free water. Also, asked that I wanted my icecream with cone and this is what they did: gave me a cone separated from the icecream. Ice cream is delicious. The two servers were very nice. Great seating outside. Might be a little pricey, but we don't get ice cream out every day and I like how they mix it right in front of you vs just scooping out - which I could do at home. read more

The reason I am leaving a one star review is because of staff. The ice cream is amazing along with the waffle cones/cups. My husband and I went into cold stone yesterday July 3rd at around 7:40ish pm. When we got there the store was empty and there were three girls in there working, not one greeted us. My husband and I are Hispanic, we stood there in awkward silence until one of the girls said "what can I get you guys". We gave her our orders and then two more couples came in after us and they all said welcome and hello to them, I am not saying that they said hello because the couples were Caucasian but it was no coincidence that we were the only Hispanic couple in the shop and we didn't even get a hello. I hope that cold stone employees can be trained properly and say hello to all customers regardless of race. read more

Went there 10 minutes before closing and Alvie was great! She gave us different options such as regular or almond milk, different Oreo types, and offered us a lid and drink holder. She was also very nice and made a great shake and German chocolate bowl. We've been to this location twice now and will be our preferred location from now on. read more

There was one bite of ice cream in the kids cup and the topping was not even mixed in. The Oreo ice cream tasted like vanilla, there were no Oreos whatsoever. I literally paid 8 dollars through DoorDash complete rip off, I'm pissed. read more
