We had the strawberry cloud matcha latte, and I was quite disappointed at how sugary it was. I don't believe there was an option to customize it other than type of milk. It was actually undrinkable and we threw it in the garbage. We gave it a real shot, drank almost 1/3, but gave up as it was a waste of calories and caffeine. I could not taste the matcha, everything just tasted sugary and synthetic. They also sell other cafe drinks, sushi rolls, baked goods, etc. It is essentially pick up your food from fridge, pay at counter and pick up your drink setup. I felt the prices were a bit a high but the store is nicely decorated including their branded YONO merchandise. Their matcha is not for me. read more

Avoid the sushi and chirashi bowls!! The rice was mushy and had wayyy too much vinegar. It destroyed the taste of the fish, which may have been intentional... Came here for lunch to try out their drinks which looked really good online. I decided to get their coconut blue matcha cream top drink but ended being pretty disappointed. The cream top has a really thick and weirdly slimy consistency? Unfortunately im a huge texture person so this was a no go for me. The drink underneath the foam was also pretty disappointing, i got my drink with oatmilk and that was all i could really taste. The matcha flavor was lost in the milk. This YONO Sushi just opened in the Hudson Yards Mall this week after months of waiting. Although I was very excited for the addition of a sushi restaurant to the repertoire of the malls ever growing food options, I will say that I am a little disappointed with the price point given the amount and quality of the sushi. While it's definitely a step up from average supermarket sushi (and certainly what you would find at Whole Foods across the street) it did not differ as drastically as one would hope. They offer many different types of rolls along with nigiri and combos ranging from $9.75 (cucumber avocado roll) to $18.50 (spicy tuna combo). A standard spicy tuna roll starts at $13.75 which I find pretty steep for something that has been sitting around for a couple of hours. The quality of the fish doesn't bother me as much as the quality of the rice. Granted, I know it's pretty much impossible to have fresh rice taste when it does have to sit in the fridge refrigerated area before it is bought and consumed so that is a big caveat to consider. Maybe I went too early and grabbed stuff that was made first that morning but I am willing to give it another go in the coming weeks. I will reiterate though that if I am spending almost $20 on sushi, I want to feel satisfied. There are many more options in the mall that accomplish that without spending more than $15. F-ing awful. First of all don't know who this is because I had a fit, but they don't have paper cups for when you order a drink that becomes in a bottle they expect you to put your lips to some dirty ass bottle they have sitting on the shelf. Second, when I asked to have a bag for the part that I had was ready to go. He said that I need a bag for this as if the second part only included one bag. They did not have timers to let me know when my food is gonna be ready. They just expected me to hang out. And then when I got my cooked teriyaki chicken, some pieces weren't cooked. It ended up being something I really didn't like, so I politely asked if there was any way to exchange it, especially considering it was $9. Instead of even attempting to be helpful, the employee immediately shut me down and rudely said no, offering only to charge me *half price* for another drink. That's not customer service, that's squeezing more money out of someone after giving them a bad recommendation. If you're going to suggest drinks to first-time customers, at least stand behind it or show some basic courtesy when it doesn't land. this place genuinely has some of the best speciality matchas i've ever tried. they are making it in front of you so you can literally see how much matcha goes into it but it is balanced out so well with the cream top. i've tried the strawberry & the ube ones, 10/10.
