I've been here twice... once for a bachelor party to kick off the weekend and another time a few years later while on a family vacation. Each time was a great experience.... The second time in particular was very fun seeing the whole family including my 8yo son Join in and have a good time. Mark of Yosemite Axe explained everything we needed to know. There's a small bar for some beer while you're hanging out and good music playing. We enjoyed our hour of throwing axes. I recommend this place.

Went here for my brothers bachelor party. Right when we walked in we were greeted with a smile. Really cool spot chill vibes . The gentlemen explained the rules thoroughly and made sure we understood also helped with choosing and how to throw axes.. we had so much fun we will definitely be going back when in big bear!! A must go

For my first time axe throwing I was so excited to try out Yosemite Axe inside Big Bear! To keep yourself warm and out of the cold, enjoy a full hour ($30) of throwing and shoulder toning If you're a first timer like me, ask for some tips and tricks from staff. I found it easiest to really follow through on your throw and not let go too late. For 2 on a Saturday evening (4pm) there was almost a full house! If you have a bigger group (6+) playing, there's a $5 discount--$25 per person. The service here is amazing and faculty is really nice! The phone number listed on their website is reliable and their website is easy to navigate to book a reservation. It is recommended to book online to reserve your hour. Check-in and write a review for a free sticker and enjoy axe throwing! Channel your inner lumberjack

Super fun date night! Hubby and I have wanted to try axe throwing for a while. Mark gave us some great tips! I can see how this would be super fun for a group/party too!

Fun activity with the family. During weekend in Big Bear I had entered a silent auction at the Elks club and got the winning bid for Yosemite Axe. There were 6 of that went on Sun early eve, we were the only ones there, so got full attention and service. We had a brief intro and demo on how to throw and score. It's $30/hr. pp or $25/hr. pp if you have at least 6 ppl. Good music and fun lumberjack decor, definitely recommend for a fun indoor activity while visiting Big Bear.

We were on vacation in big bear and saw this spot as we drove through town. We came in and wow!!!! Our party of 6 got three bays and had the best of times. The worker walked us through the safety protocols and let us go at it. He checked on us and gave us some pointers. Even let us take a pic with some awesome axe's. Def a place to stop by if you're in town. Super affordable. All the kids had a blast.

Highly recommend! Throwing axes at real tree stumps is so much nicer than wooden boards. Super nice on a weekday! Brought our two teenage sons and learned how to keep score. A little family competition. It's over all amazing.

    Let's throw some sharp tools!

My boyfriend and I had a great time tonight trying to throw some axes. I called around 7:30 hoping for an open spot and they had a slot available at 8pm so we grabbed it! A short walk from where we were staying at the Wolf Creek Lodge. Come in for a great reasonably priced nighttime activity when you are pretty tired from skiing! $30 a person for a $60 total was not a bad vacation activity cost for two for one hour and your arm is tired, an hour is plenty of time. The vibe was relaxed but really fun, they had one of those Punch machine games and some of the groups were having fun with that too! Jeff, the staff member working gave a wonderful demo and took photos of all the groups with these super fun trophy axes for the memory. Even though we were only a group of two we had a great time throwing the hatchets. The experience is definitely worth it if you are looking for something to do after a day on the mountain.

So much fun at axe throwing! Our first time and the employee was so kind and welcoming. We had so much fun. Can't wait to try it again, we'll be back for sure! Thank you! Highly recommend!

Great time! We had a group of 7, booked it on their website same day (early season) Charge is per person and by time like bowling. Super nice guy helped us understand how to play and how to keep safe. No injuries except to the boys egos when the girls beat them several times. I had never been axe throwing. I was honestly thinking it would be silly but it was actually fun for all! Our group was adults 17, 18, 19, 23, 40, 52. Everyone approved! Snacks available for purchase

This is a nice place for either a rage room or an escape room…read more A few weeks ago, I did a rage room experience here, which was my first time doing a rage room. Marc, the owner, was very nice and kind. He even allowed me to do a special request where I wore an outfit (which is a Morpshuit with t-shirt and shorts) underneath the gear used for the rage room. Very kind of him to accommodate this. I have never done a rage room before, so it was a unique experience. Shattering glass, and breaking things felt very liberating and it helped me release tension/anger. Additionally, at the very end, there was even another surprise where Marc even taught me how to throw ninja stars on the wooden board. It was super cool. At first, I couldn't get any ninja stars to stick, but on one of my final attempts, I actually did get the ninja star to stick, which was awesome!! I was pretty elated that I was able to do that! Anyways, shout out to Marc the owner for being very nice and accommodating. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a cool, friendly place to do a rage room or an escape room. I should check out their escape rooms some time soon.
