Not too many Dim Sum places here in the HD, so this place is a gem up here. First off service was good, greeted when I came in and acknowledged on the way out. I ordered the Shu Mai which was minced shrimp and pork and fish egg,but really can't taste any hint of fishiness whatsoever so that was appreciated. I also ordered the Beef Pancake which was a cilantro,green onion,beef roll up it was very filling and tasty. This place is so good I forgot to take pictures before we devoured it all. Place was packed we got the last open table. Service was excellent, she was very friendly and apologetic and promising her best to get us food in a timely manner. It's small inside,but a decent amount of tables. We ordered the shredded cucumbers which came out first. They were really good had a good flavor and weren't overly spicy. Pan fried beef roll ups were next these were really good as well. BBQ pork buns were next and these were our favorite. Soft and slightly sweet, and so yummy. Soup dumplings came out last and they were very good as well. We are definitely coming back with plans to try other dishes on the menu. This is now added to our rotation of favorite places to go eat! read more

First time here. Host was friendly. She was very attentive to the customers. She was always asking how everything was. The food was just ok. Nothing special. The food was bland. It was edible but nothing amazing. The Shanghai dumpling hardly had any soup inside. I usually have my spoon soup filled with juice and I would just slurp it. It's not fountain drinks. We usually like coming to this place. Came in on a Sunday it was very busy which is out of the usual but fine no worries. Stood by the door for 10 minutes with the owner/waitress attending other tables. She looked over at us never acknowledged us, didn't tell us we could sit anywhere. We decided to sit down while she came over. Again waited for another ten minutes with her not talking to us or coming over or even dropping off a menu. When she finally came over to us the only thing she said was "no outside drinks allowed, there's a sign on the door" that got us so fast out of the door. I was in town for work and trying to find a good spot that wasn't a chain restaurant. My boyfriend found this place in TikTok and we went based on the pictures from the video. My goodness! Shu Mai is one of my go tos and this had to be the best shu mai I've ever had. And I've been to dim sum in china town DTLA and NYC a dozen times. Everything we had was absolutely delicious. Plus the service was great, very sweet and friendly. The inside of the restaurant was a bit plain but very clean. I can only truly kind of recommend the wonton soup, tried a couple of orders of dumplings and a basic thai boba and well let's just say Other local boba spots are recommended 100% over this. Now for dumplings i recommend the 626 area, quality and taste are miles better and in a different league of their own. Tried this last weekend. I was a bit worried at recent negative reviews, but the food and service were great--I'm not sure how to account for the disparity. I appreciate the fast-casual style of the small shop because traditional dim sum has always intimidated me. I've had several of the dishes in other contexts, however, so I have plenty of points of comparison. The food was fresh, piping hot, flavorful, and each dish had its own unique touch. The pork bun filling had a perfectly balanced flavor. The sesame balls nailed their consistency with that crispy outside and gooey filling. The soup dumplings were rich and tasty--though my one critique is that they, perhaps, could have used more soup in the ratio of soup to filling. All in al I'm excited to return and hope people don't let this fall between the cracks. A great spot and we're lucky to have it in the high desert. read more

I work across the street and this place is super easy and very good! I just order online while I'm working and then drive over and it's ready. I got the shrimp dumplings, chive shrimp grill, shu mai and custard buns and all are delicious!! This place is great if you've never tried dim sum but I wouldn't come back again. Let me tell you why. I lived down the hill, just moved up here, so I've tried multiple dim sum spots. I got the #1 (shumai), #2 Shrimp dumplings (har gow), #3 BBQ pork steamed bun (Siaopao, which is Tagalog), I think #12 sesame balls, and their Shanghai dumplings. All of these had small portion sizes. I've been to places that served 5-6 pieces for $7-$8 with almost twice the size. This place did 4 pieces for $4.50 of tiny portions. The #1 shumai had good flavor but it was so small. I was done in two bites when there's a place in city of industry that takes me like 3-4 bites to finish. Flavor tastes like any standard pork shumai but is nothing special. The #2 har gow was average. Shrimp didn't have any flavor itself and it tasted mostly of the rice wrap. Again, small portion size. It's like they just stuffed a little bit of shrimp into the wrap and didn't add any flavoring. The #3 tasted like this steamed bun that I had from a gas station when I visited the Phillipines. Hardly any meat, mostly dough. The bbq pork tasted ok at best, but the dough was so overpowering that I couldn't get much flavor. They were huge too so I had high hopes too. The #12 sesame balls are my absolute favorite dessert. It's a red bean filled dough ball covered in sesame seeds. These guys reduced the size to half of what I'm used to seeing. And inside, there was hardly any red bean paste so I mostly tasted dough. Plus these tasted really oily. Lastly, the "shanghai dumplings" which we were told were supposed to be soup dumplings. These were okay, they were overpowered with ginger. Couldn't really taste the pork/beef or whatever meat was inside because all I could taste was ginger. I literally doused everything in soy or ponzu sauce to get more flavor out of it. I'm honestly disappointed but not surprised as this is the only dim sum place out here in the high desert. Again, I'd completely recommend this place to anyone who's never tried dim sum but definitely look for a place down the hill whenever you're down there. read more

Food is very light, serves more of a snack, im not a person that is crazy about dumplings. I felt most of food was blend in flavor i tried mostly everything in their menu, shared with friends, came out paying close to 80$ Could have extra ingredients. For ex. Wonton soup, wouldve like to see some scallions or serrano chillis for heat. I also tried a noodle dish similar to pad thai noodles(sorry cant remember name) they were strong in flavor. I was very excited for this place to open up, but after tasting it i decided it was nothing special, it doesn't taste any different than getting frozen dumplings or XLB and steaming them yourself at home.
