Having a new dental provider, I wanted a dentist that was close to work and home. This office was part of the directory listing for my plan. What makes this place worthy of 5 stars is, the quick registration process(for first time patients), a short wait time to get prepped for X-rays and an exam, a personable dental assistant and a very thorough cut to the chase dentist. Dr. Young's dental assistant was friendly and entertaining, making me feel relaxed and comfortable as I sat in the chair for my teeth cleaning; while Dr. Young was kind and gentle finishing up my teeth cleaning and assessment. I have a follow up appointment to get some fillings next week. The dentist even supplied me with some complimentary toothpaste and gum, plus wrote me a dentist note for work. Let me tell you a little about my expience with other dentist first. Before I met Dr Young, I hated dentist, primarily because most of them lie about what treatments are needed and try to make the most out of your pain. I consulted 2 dentists before I met Dr Young, one of whom prescribed 4 extraction, 2 rootcanal and an invisalign. That person even wanted me to do the root canal right away on the very first day of the consultation. Thankfully I did not do it and instead went to Dr Young who was referred to me by a friend. She is a God in disguise. Trust me. Although her clinic is a little hard to find but once you are in there, it is neat and professional. She treats you well, doesnt ask you to undergo treatments that are not required. She did my root canal and it was the almost painless. She also doesnt pressurize you to buy her products or any other marketting gimmicks. She charges reasonably, and accepts only cash though. I would recommend her to anyone. The first time I ever saw this dentist was last year when I have some services done. I had denti-cal insurance. I went to this location to have a routine dental services done. When I first went there, they did cleaning and did some fillings. After they're done with them, the back and top of the teeth that were filled were rough and it's not comfortable. She filed it but still feel rough. Up to now, one corner of the filled tooth is still sharp and rough. Then I have her do a denture. When she did it, it was too loose. I couldn't even eat. It would constantly fall. It didn't fit well at all. She kinda shaved it and it was still too loose, but refused to redo it. And of course around Nov. and Dec., these were very busy months at work. I wasn't able to go back to see her, because of work can't get time to see her. My days off are Sundays and Mondays and she's closed on Mondays. So I couldn't see her on Mondays because she's closed. I always schedule my appointments on Mondays. I think I called around February, to go back to her, and she inform me that I no longer qualify in denti-cal. I told her that I can't even speak or eat because it kept coming off. Then she said her man, referring to the person of that company she have the dentures done is on vacation and she will talked to him when he came back, then she will inform me when she had spoken to him. And up to now she hasn't called me back. The dentures that she have that person do, was a lousy job done. Some parts are thin and see thru. You'll see in the picture, where it's highlighted. If you are gonna get your dentures done seek a better dentists that's not gonna chintz on the materials of the denture. I wouldn't recommend anyone to have any dental services done by her. Most service providers usually have one year warranty on their products. The optometrist or optical, usually when you purchased your glasses, they usually have warranty on the frames or lenses. If you lost a screw or the lenses are scratched they fix them. Because I have experienced it. They replaced screws. They adjust your frames if it's crooked. They do adjustments without cost. It's free of charge no lousy excuses given to customer or patient And since the denture was only a few months and they didn't do it right in the first place, and it's not even half a year or a year, they should redo it. But they won't do a thing about it. I guess if you are a denti-cal recipient, they don't get too much money, so they messed with your services. But if you don't have denti-cal and will be paying out of pocket, run far away from this place! You won't get your monies worth and get lousy service. read more

I spent some time thinking about how to write this review regarding my experience with Dr. Winnie Young. I think it is quite clear that nobody likes to visit the dentist, let alone have any sharp objects in their mouths. Upon my first visit I had a very nice experience with Dr. Young and was pleasantly pleased with her gentle abilities after she carefully reviewed my questionnaire responses regarding my past dental experiences and my overall fear with sharp objects. During my second visit, my experience with her changed as I felt like a burden of a patient. First, she was over 30 minutes late to my appointment which is fine, but there was a lot of confusion and miscommunication between her and her medical assistant, which by the way, she is absolutely understaffed which I felt was an uncomfortable moment. Upon my procedure I reminded her to kindly be gentle to which she wasn't too pleased to hear and caused a minor disruption when she was drilling. I asked for more local anesthesia to numb my mouth even further and she treated my request like a joke which I actually did take offensively. I have very sensitive teeth which my dental chart indicates and I have had past experiences where sensitivity has been an issue. During my procedure her medical assistant needed to attend other things creating tension between Dr. Winnie and the assistant. To me, it was unprofessional and overall uncomfortable to be around. At the end of my procedure, I did not truly felt like a welcomed patient by Dr. Young. I even called to discuss about a cosmetic procedure, but apparently she gave her entire staff the day off which I was not aware of, and my phone call seemed like a complete burden to her when the office line was directed to her personal cell phone. I suggest Dr. Winnie Young to be aware that not every patient is a star patient and each patient has different needs and sensitivity concerns. Although I try my best to not give low ratings, it is hard for me to give a positive review when my experience was below sub par. read more

She was great. Unfortunately I am a procrastinator and put off seeing her for my check up. I now have a tooth ache and finally called her office and discovered the number had changed. I tried calling the new number and the recording didn't sound like it was her office anymore. Crap. I was reading the latest reviews and it sounds like sometime this year her office may have closed. She was the best dentist I ever had. I don't know what happened and wonder if she is still practicing, and if so, still in this area? Dr Young has been my dentist since 2015. I had some bad root canals done from previous dentists and I tried to find one whom I could trust. so I went through more than ten dentists before I met Dr Young. Dr Young explained my options and helped me choose the best treatment plan and helped me find the best specialist in the area. Since that, I ve been only going to Dr Young and I am very pleased with my experience. I know she is the best because she was able to find a tiny tiny crack in my tooth and some infections no other dentists pointed out that could've caused seriously infection which require oral surgery. read more

I really like Winnie, and think she is a great. Unfortunately, she did some work on my front tooth and the bite was so off that it led to two of my teeth grinding down significantly. I think her work will lead to more work. I tried to call today but sounds like the listed number no longer works. I mentioned that I thought the bite was way off before we ended our session. She did say I could come back in to get the bite adjusted if it was not right. Just kept thinking it was me being too much of a perfectionist, can't be that off, until I realize my teeth are falling apart. read more

I called three times a day for a week. No answer, ever. You will die of that abcess before you get help here!

Dr. Young performed a lot of unnecessary cavity fillings on my son, claiming he had more cavities than he actually did. I wasn't aware of this until I got another dentist's opinion. Also, Martha (the dental assistant) was very rude and showed no compassion or care towards my son as his teeth were being drilled. She simply placed her hand over his mouth to shut him up as he was screaming from the pain. He is a little boy and was scared. That is not the way to handle the situation. This place only wants your money. No care towards patients, no bedside manners. read more

I do not recommend anyone to go see Dr. Young. I came in for a check up and follow up and I have not gone back ever since. For my follow up visit I was not seen until 45 min. after my scheduled appointment and becasue of that Dr. Young was impatient with me and she was rushing the job. She didn't allow me to close my mouth temporarily to rest my jaw or take any breaks while she was doing five fillings. She also did not use anaesthesia for one of my fillings and tested on my tooth with the drill if she could do the filling without a shot. I felt discomfort and said that I wanted the shot. She gave me the shot and did not allow any time for the anaesthesia to kick in and proceeded right away. She didnt tell me that I could signal with my hand if I ever wanted anything or needed a break. She would however try to talk to me when I couldnt respond because I was biting down on a rubber block the whole time. She also did not consult with me if I wanted white or silver fillings and gave me all silver fillings, saying that my insurance didnt cover white fillings. Which I would have paid for the white fillings out of pocket. read more
