Been coming to this location for several years and it is such a solid option for lunch or dinner. The beef teriyaki plates provides rice, salad and a pickled vegetable side (probably the highlight of the entire plate). Beef is juicy and something about their own teriyaki sauce hits differently. Again I got no teriyaki sauce with my teriyaki chicken dinner, not the first time this has happened ,but this time the salad dressing was in a container, not on the salad, which was actually better ,you used to get one little container of teriyaki sauce with the meal, now nothing, they should tell you it's served dry.also they always knot the bag, so it's hard to open if you want to put the warm teriyaki sauce on it they have in the restaurant. The clean and inviting dining area is clean and comfortable. The menu is VERY affordable and features everything from miso soup to delicious teriyaki chicken, fried noodles, and a variety of sushi. The specials include an abundance and variety of food. I'll share that I enjoy the teriyaki chicken as much as their sushi. One of their specials gives you both and includes potstickers and salad. Each sushi roll order comes with a small salad and edamame. Rolls are large and SO delicious! Tonight I thought I would try a different sushi restaurant and upon arrival placed an order. The total came to $159, I couldn't justify the cost for what I had ordered. I decided to drive to ITeriyaki knowing I could count on affordable delicious food. If another customer takes your order before you can get to the counter, sucks to be you. This just happened to me, and after telling the cashier that someone took my order, they seemed to agree, and nothing happened. After waiting 20 minutes I followed up, which lead the manager to yell at the cashier (which is fine if they made a mistake) and refusing to replace my order. So, I pay, someone takes my food, they acknowledge that someone took my food, and too bad for me? I understand the need to coach your staff, but you (the manager) should first take care of the customer so they don't make a scene in your establishment. I am a huge fan of this place and have been for a very long time. Pre Covid I ordered from here every Friday for everyone of my teammates that wanted some. Now post COVID since I work from home i drive all the way from Placerville. No one can provide the taste of fresh, grilled chicken. The PERFECT amount of ginger and sauce. I have to admit that I am particular regarding sesame chicken - I like crispy, golden batter with a sweet, tangy sauce. I love teriyaki has both. I will confess that it's possible what I find good isn't what others will think is good - but I do really enjoy the food here and I eat here frequently. I also really appreciate the customer service - she is always friendly and as prompt as she can be (sometimes they are REALLY busy). I really liked the sauce on top of the California roll. He also ordered the chicken noodle plate and he said it was alright. He had water to drink. I picked chicken teriyaki plate and the chicken was flavored very nice. I liked the rice but didn't care for the dressing they put on the salad. I wish they would put the dressing from the California rolls instead. I had Ice tea to drink, My daughter ordered the Pork teriyaki plate but she said it was good. Came here tonight for dinner with my family. The customer service was wonderful and very family friendly atmosphere. We had the chicken teriyaki, pot stickers, pad Thai chicken plate and some sushi rolls on the side. The chicken teriyaki and pad Thai plates were very nicely plated, there was a generous portion of delicious chicken and rice in each plate and we were given more than enough teriyaki sauce! Yum! The sushi rolls we ordered were a basic CA roll and a dragon roll, the rolls were huge and very good!! The food was prepared fresh, hot and made within a reasonable amount of time. The highlight I would say was the customer service, I always love a good place you can walk into and be greeted with a smile and even a nice conversation. First thing first - I LOVE that they are open until 11pm. Every other location closes at 8 or 9 and sometimes I am just leaving work by then so I never am able to make it before close. Second - nice location. Clean and pretty!! Now most importantly, the food is great and the employees are so kind. My car battery happened to die while I was inside grabbing my food, so I had to pop my hood and use my little jumper box to try and get my car started. I was out there maybe 2 or 3 minutes and one of their cooks or employees comes out to check on me and waits until my car is started to go back inside. I was blown away at that. We enjoy every time we get our meal there. My husband gets the chicken teriyaki and I love the veggie bowl spicy. We are never disappointed.
