Honestly, our server Connor, made a good dining experience a great one. Highly attentive, funny, friendly, and charismatic! Truly the charm of our dinner. As for food, it was good -- not particularly spectacular, but a generous portion with lovely presentation. Drinks were delicious and dessert was too. We ordered a ribeye, sea bass, rigatoni, asparagus, and for dessert affogato and crème brûlée. Ambiance is lovely for a first date or hangout. Weekdays seem to be the vibe as it's not so crowded and more intimate crowds.
Thanks to my daughter for making dinner reservations. It was fabulous!! Since we came here on a Sunday, we were lucky to find free street parking. We got there early for dinner, so we beat the crowd. So many nice and interesting places to sit outside. The seating inside looked nice as well. We had calamari which came with a tasty dip. I've had calamari at many different restaurants, and this one was really good, but I have to admit I've had better. I would still order it again though. I ordered a pasta dish which tasted so good and was filling. My drink had just the right amount of alcohol in it. I should have asked for another one!! It was that good. The restroom was so nice and clean. There's a really large mirror in the restroom and the lighting was actually good. Some restrooms are way too dark. Great place for dinner with family and/or friends. The customer service was good as well as the service. Really nice vibes.
Years and years ago, this place used to be IT. Ysabel was popppppping on the weekends, and attracted groups and groups of people living their best LA life. The food was great, the vibes were there, and the decor added to the swanky ambiance. I even remember all of the pictures we'd take in front of their iconic wall of faces! I still have them, and they serve as souvenirs of wonderful memories... Good times. I recently went back to Ysabel on a Friday night and it was much different than what I remember. The environment was quiet, it was about 1/5 full if not a little less, and the food was just okay. It reminded me a bit of Lavo, just before they announced they were shutting business down. Ysabel was unfortunately not great about accommodating a food allergy at our table. Other restaurants swap ingredients or make suggestions or offer up alternatives, but Ysabel pointed out a couple of sides and deterred us from most of the menu. Not the best experience. The food we tried was okay... nothing to write home about, nothing I felt I had to come back for ASAP, and especially not for their price point. Disappointing but not all that surprising - seems like another LA place that has lost its way a bit through the years, especially post-COVID. Valet parking is your best bet here.
Sadly I do not have any pictures of our entrees bc we were starved LOL) but our dinner was soo delicious. We're visiting from the Bay Area and wanted to try Ysabel out since I had seen a lot of great reviews about it online. The restaurant itself is gorgeous. Love the ambiance and the vibe of the place- very romantic and fancy. For drinks we ordered the "Something About Cherry" and the "Sophia"- both of which were sweet, delicious and definitely strong. For apps we ordered truffle Parmesan fries, calamari and my favorite- the tartare. I could probably have 5 more of those tbh. I ordered the Spicy Rigatoni for my entree and it was amazing. I wish it would've came with some sort of chicken or protein since the pasta itself is heavy but overall it was delectable. Definitely recommend anyone who's looking for a nice restaurant with great food to come here.
We went to Ysabel for my wife's birthday and it's a pretty perfect birthday spot if you're parents looking to feel like you actually went out on the town. Especially if you live in the Valley and rarely go over the hill after 6pm. Ysabel has been on our radar as one of those celebrity/Instagram-friendly spots, and the space is the first thing that stands out. You enter through a small, tunnel-like corridor off busy Fairfax, with almost nothing visible from the street. Then you walk in and feel transported. The patio is a must with its twinkly trees, candles, white booths, marble tables and enough LA-ness to make the night feel a little special. We were honestly happy just being there on a beautiful summer evening. The cocktails were delicious and very aesthetic, though not exactly strong for our tolerance levels. Maybe that says more about us than the drinks. Still, delicious. We mostly ordered seafood and everything was solid for a three-dollar-sign restaurant. Good, but nothing life-changing. The warm apple pie-style dessert in a cute cast-iron pan with maple ice cream was excellent and probably the highlight. We went at 6pm on a Wednesday, so it wasn't too busy, which we liked. But as we were leaving, it started to pick up and we realized a little more people energy and people-watching would've been nice. Service was fine, but not especially warm. Our waitress did her job, but she started off pretty low-energy and only became more engaging toward the end. Food came out relatively quickly, though. I gave it 4 stars mainly because the service lacked a little enthusiasm. But if you're celebrating something special and don't mind spending $100+ per person, Ysabel is definitely that spot.
Very interesting dinner at Ysabel on a Saturday night. The best things about this restaurant is the ambience. There are multiple sections including two indoor rooms with booths and two separate bars and the outdoor courtyard and the patio. Very nicely decorated with lights. Very romantic. Menu is mostly Italian. Our server was nice and service was amazing. We sat out side in the corner. Cocktails were great. We had the prosciutto and peaches plate. Very interesting as it was on top of a thick pesto paste. We also had the chopped salad which was very well seasoned. For main dish I had the rigatoni vodka but didn't think it's had the calabrese chili that was said on the menu. My wife had the short rib pasta. Was good although the short rib has an interesting aftertaste. It was top with burrata but given the cheese was cold, The Who dish seemed cold. My son had the chicken schnitzel and he truly enjoyed it. It's a big piece with some sort of a salad on top. We skipped dessert.
I went to Ysabel on May 4th, 2024, and it recently came up again in my social media memories, which reminded me of the place. At that time, I went there with my mom for brunch, and I remember the atmosphere being really nice. The food was delicious, the staff was friendly, and overall it was a very enjoyable experience.
first time trying ysabel and i've seen it all over social media for so long, i'm glad they didn't disappoint! there's valet right in-front and it's $15. i thought the restaurant was small while we walked in but when i was walking to the restroom i noticed it was actually very spacious and had tons of indoor and outdoor seating. the food was amazing and both the service and ambiance was great! our server gave great recommendations so we went with * fried calamari - small pieces and was a bit lacking in flavor * wagyu yakatori skewers - so delicious, also came with some sweet potato's! * crispy sesame shrimp - is was actually shocked how good this was! & the sauce they give on the side was so good * fries * truffle fries * hand cut rigatoni - definitely adding this to my fav pasta dishes! i think it's better than the pasta at elephante, it was saucier and a bit spicy! our server came back a couple times to check up on us and our waters were constantly refilled as well!
This restaurant is so nice, I love the entire ambiance of it. Their food & drinks were amazing, definitely worth it.
Trendy, cute super trendy, pretty, vibrant spot great for Fridays and Saturdays gatherings! It's usually crowded so would definitely need to make a reservation, however, you can chill in the bar (they have 2 inside bars) or by the stairs while waiting. Cocktails are a piece of art! I had cactus and it was absolutely amazing! Atmosphere is very nice and even feels slightly private, even though place is super crowded (probably table that are far-ish from each other help). Food was delicious- from appetizers like fries and Brussels sprouts to hand cut rigatoni and chicken snitzel! Work of art. The only thing that was slightly annoying was that waiters were trying to make us pay before we haven't even finished our courses and drinks yet, it felt a little rude, but we all gotta do what we gotta do. Overall- worth coming and hanging!

This a hidden gem in Weho. It's great for a date night. We went on a Tuesday night so the service was quick. They have plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. The portion sizes are shareable.
I was having trouble finding a birthday dine spot, and I came across this beautiful gem. From start to finish I've got to say it was one of the best experiences I have had at a restaurant in awhile. The server was super knowledgeable and broke down the menu as first timers, I ordered the miso salmon and my boyfriend had their vodka pasta with chicken. We both were in awe of these two plates, the miso salmon was packed with flavor and paired so well with their "black forbidden rice." The vodka pasta had the perfect kick to it. Our drinks were delicious! I ordered the something about cherry drink, which was a vodka based cocktail (not my usual) , but I wanted to try something other than a margarita. Thank you to the Ysabel team for making my birthday dinner so special, they even add a birthday card along with your dessert! Now moving onto the ambiance, it was one of the most beautiful, most intimate/romantic restaurants I've been to in awhile. I loved that they had trees with lights in the restaurant, and roses hanging from the trees. The iconic steps make for great Instagram pictures!

4* Food 5++* Ambiance 5* Service Absolutely beautiful space, both indoors and out. The art, olive trees, and delightful ambient lighting make the entire setting feel enchanting and thoughtfuly designed. The menu offers a nice variety at reasonable prices. From hamachi crudo and wagyu yakitori to pastas, chicken schnitzel, and steaks, there is something for eveyone to enjoy a memorable meal. The cocktail menu is excellent, with good wine options as well... though I would definitely recommnd the cocktails over the wine here. We ordered the crudo, crispy rice tuna tartare, wagyu yakitori, scallops, and rigatoni. Unfortunately, the wagyu was our least favorite; it was difficult to chew and didn't meet our expectations. Thankfully the crudo and tuna tartar truly hit the spot. The rigatoni featured a delicious, well seasoned sauce, though the pasta itself wasn't quite as delicate as I had hoped. The scallops however were prepared perfectly. The celery root puree elevated the dish even further, making each bite creamy, balanced and incredibly satisfying. We were impressed with this dish. For dessert we ordered the affegato which was a lovely way to end the evening. Not too sweet with a strong espresso that really hit the spot. The biscotti was unnecessary, as the espresso alone carried the dessert beautifully. Our server was warm and attentive; however, the host could improve on greeting guests and making them feel genuinely welcomed upon arrival. Great crowd and people watching. I will be back. read more

The restaurant feels premium. Very boujee and classy feeling. I came here for my birthday so it fit the occasion. Service was great. Our server was extremely helpful in suggestions. We also had our water refilled constantly so we felt very taken care of. Only thing I'd note is that the tables are kinda close together so it didn't feel like there was much privacy. Food was mediocre. I think we paid more for the experience and the atmosphere for the occasion. My favorite is probably the scallops though there are only a few pieces so it's hard to get full off just those if they're not paired with appetizers. Not sure if I'd come back again. My experience wasn't bad but I'd like to try other restaurants that offer similar experiences and may have better food. read more

A great experience to ring in my daughter's 21st bday. Our waitress went above and beyond, I believe her name was Emily. She made the experience wonderful. I had the cut rigatoni which was delicious. I believe the steak was also delicious and the drinks were strong but in a good way. Overall, I would def be returning. read more
I love everything about this place, from the service, food, and ambiance. They offer valet service, I believe for $12, which is very nice and makes it easier for customers, but they also have meters nearby just in case. The food is incredible! The yakitori is so flavorful and juicy. 8/10 The lemon pasta is a little too salty for me, but it's still delicious. It's 7/10. My husband loves it, and it's not too salty for him. The steak with sauces, gosh, is so amazing. Very soft and juicy. 10/10. Next time, I'll get the tomahawk! The branzino, gosh, the skin is just delicious. It comes with bell peppers and quinoa. 9/10 The mandarin tart is so freaking delicious. Go get it. Overall I'll be back for sure The service was very attentive and I love it. read more

I brought my sister here as a pre-birthday celebration. We had very high hopes! I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the hostess at the front. However, the food wasn't very memorable. We were excited for the drinks, but they were just okay. It was a pretty busy night and we felt it by the service provided that night. Overall, nothing was exceptionally bad or good. My friend and I came here on a Sunday around 6 PM. I think that's a perfect time to go because there's basically no one there, and by no one I mean Instagram influencers. There's valet parking. Their restaurant is very much open with indoor, outdoor & bar seating I believe. The staff in this establishment are more formal/high-end etiquette style. I appreciate their attention to detail such as cleanliness, food presentation, hospitality, attentiveness, and menu knowledge. Yelp has three dollar signs, believe it. I think there's charcuterie board was like $46 or something. Yeeeaaaahhhh but hey my friend was paying so it worked for me haha! Rigatoni: flavorful, decent size, pretty presentation, very greasy if you're gonna take it home and eat it later! Steak 12 oz: this one I didn't try my friend ordered it. I believe she asked for well done and she thought it was too well done... I don't eat well done steak so I would probably recommend someone to order medium well. The drinks were great! We got harmony and I think something with a Cherry name. I would recommend this place, be prepared to spend at least $200. But it's a really cute space with great staff, it's in a prime location and quality food. read more

Ysabel was absolutely amazing and truly made our entire dining experience unforgettable. From the moment we were seated, her service was warm, attentive, and incredibly professional without ever feeling overbearing. She checked in at all the right times, made great recommendations, and you could genuinely tell she cared about making sure we had the best experience possible. That level of service really makes a difference, and Ysabel delivered it flawlessly. Now let's talk about the food--because wow. It was honestly to die for. Every dish came out beautifully presented and packed with flavor, and you could tell a lot of care and skill went into every plate. The braised short rib was insanely tender and rich, and the hand-cut rigatoni was perfectly cooked and absolutely incredible. It's the kind of meal you keep thinking about long after you leave. I will definitely be going back, and I will most definitely be letting my friends know they need to come try the braised short rib and the hand-cut rigatoni for themselves. Huge shoutout to Ysabel for such outstanding service and an all-around amazing dining experience. This place is a must-visit! read more

If you're looking for a beautiful atmosphere with great drinks, then this is the place. The food wasn't bad, but it didn't feel like the star of the show. The service was great, they were attentive. We ordered: - Hand Cut Rigatoni - Asian Salad - Wagyu Yakitori Skewers - Cali The drink, Cali, was delicious. We liked the skewers too, but the rigatoni was overcooked. It lost and bite, so it made the plate feel a little too wet. The Asian salad had a nice bite. read more

Came here for a girls dinner and it was such a vibe! The ambiance is beautiful and dimly lit. The service is great as well. We got there and about 5 mins late for our reservations and they still seated us right away. We got a variety of the appetizer dishes to share and they were amazing. They were all so fresh and tasty but my favorite was the rigatoni in vodka sauce. It was delicious and it's been so long since I had pasta that delicious! I did also get the something about cherry cocktail but I wasn't much of a fan. I would recommend place for a dinner date or a girls dinner. It's the perfect vibe. read more
It has a nice atmosphere inside. There's hanging lights decor, it's dim but not too dim. - Rigatoni 5/5 I thought the cook on the pasta was perfect. The sauce was also tasty. Protein is around $10 for chicken and $18+ for shrimp, I think? It was perfectly fine without the protein for me. [RECOMMEND] - Spicy Tuna Tartare 4.3/5 Really really tasty, it's a thick cut of rice with only a small amount of fish on top. If it was a bit more, I'd definitely give it a perfect score. However, it's too much rice too little fish for me. [RECOMMEND] - Mediterranean Salad 4.6/5 Delicious salad. It's tangy. - Fried Cauliflower 1./5 Batter was ok but wasn't fried enough? The ambience is really romantic, they have both outdoor and indoor seating. The service is quick and staff is friendly. Reservations are recommended. Valet service available. Food was yummy. Hand cut rigatoni was delicious and shareable! Flat iron steak was delicious. Definitely a leaner cut so it wasn't as tender. The New York strip was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. We also ordered some sides to share. The grilled corn was the best and almost completely gone first, potato puree was good. The drinks were yummy, something about cherry was one of my favs! At the end we were taking some pictures with flash and were told we can't take any pictures with flash on. We noticed other tables were doing the same but weren't told to stop. This establishment was amazing! I booked a reservation through Resy for my 12 year anniversary celebration with my girlfriend. First and foremost, TORI WAS AN AWESOME SERVER! She made the experience 10x better. The ambiance was immaculate. It's an indoor space with a cozy and contemporary vibe. Loved the tree with Christmas lights! My girlfriend loved it so that's a win for me automatically lol The food was really good! We always order crispy rice whenever we go and tbh, the tuna tartare was probably one of the best we've tried! I ordered the rigatoni and my girlfriend ordered the lemon spaghetti. Both were very good, ALTHOUGH! I think sriracha would've been the cherry on top That's just me though hahaha. I don't usually like cocktail drinks because I'm weary with bitter/sweet flavors that are overpowering BUT!!! The Cali was hella fire! Definitely recommend that. All in all, I would definitely come back. The staff was so nice to write a special anniversary note for my girlfriend. We finally went to this restaurant where the restaurant was beautiful and the ambiance was amazing, every and any where you sat it was beautiful. The food was delicious, certain dishes needed tad bit more salt but amazing food!!! And the waiter was sooo great and gave such great suggestions for food. It was such a great time read more

I enjoyed my dinner here! I came late on a Wednesday night around 11pm. The kitchen closes at midnight and the bar area stays open until 2am, which is very nice when so much closes early these days. The vibe is very nice. Dimly lit and many different aspects to each dining space. The staircase seating area was very unique. The service was efficient but not that friendly. It felt kind of rushed and short (might have been the time of night) ---but everything was correct, so that is the whole point. I enjoyed my roasted veggies as an appetizer. I looked at the greek salad online, which looked a little plain for the price, so I decided against it. I had the vodka pasta for my entree which was very tasty. I didn't inquire about adding meat to the pasta, but adding chicken or salmon would make it a more hearty meal. The chocolate cake dessert was straight from Matilda! Moist, not overly sweet and served with ice cream. It did have chocolate chips inside that were a little crunchy, and I was not a fan of that. but I would still get it again. Overall this was a delicious meal and I would return for a nice dinner out or a special occasion. They also have valet for $15, but I was able to find free parking on the street after a certain time. read more

Come here to celebrate my anniversary and I'm so happy I did ! This place is a vibe , indoor and outdoor seating are available, twinkling lights everywhere, very romantic. I made special requests before hand and the staff fulfilled each one. Fantastic customer service, the staff is wonderful, friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Everything you would want from a place this great, and the food and drinks are on another level ! I met and fell in love with the only Brussel sprout that ever stole my heart. Nice variety on the menu, great good steak , but for me ? Hands down the hand cut rigatoni tomato vodka sauce chili basil took the prize! So flavorful, wonderfully delicious. We had such a memorable experience, and so excited to go back. Valet parking is available. read more

Ysabel has such a cool vibe the moment you walk in. The outdoor setup and lighting make the whole place feel really cozy and stylish. The food and drinks were both really solid, and everything came out looking just as good as it tasted. It's the kind of spot where you can actually relax, enjoy the atmosphere, and have a great conversation without feeling rushed. Definitely a great place for a night out in West Hollywood. read more
Very nice ambiance. This would be a really nice place for a romantic date or for casual dinner with friends. The prices were reasonable. I had the shrimp appetizer, it was really good. Entree was the lemon spaghetti and I added chicken. I really liked the tart flavor of the spaghetti. The lemon was perfect and not overpowering. I did find it odd that it was not served with a crusty bread that would have gone perfectly with it. Dessert was crème brûlée which was divine. Our server was Sunshine. She was very nice and attentive and had a friendly energy about her. I would come here again. Unfortunately I was starving so I didn't think about taking a picture of the food until I was done, so I took a picture of the candle. Beautiful restaurant. Came here with my daughter and her friends to celebrate her 18th birthday. The sushi and cocktails were delicious, and our server was very friendly and on top of everything. Walked in on a Tuesday and was sat in the outside area right away (without a reservation). The service was lovely and i loved the vibe of the restaurant. The Brussel Sprouts were delicious and had a little spice - SO good. The Pan Seared Scallops were good - but not good enough for the price tag. All in all - I would recommend, but would try a different dish next time. read more
My name is Ysabel so I was really excited to celebrate my 32nd birthday here. We drove from Vegas and made a trip out of it. Coming from a hospitality heavy city, I found the hostess to not be very welcoming. She kinda just... sat us. And that was that. Not really a greeting or small conversation. Not even a happy birthday. So we sat down and ordered 3 appetizers and 3 entrees and split it between 4 people. Brussel sprouts, tuna tartare, and wagyu yakitori as apps, the tomahawk, salmon & rigatoni. The Brussel sprouts were one of the best things we had, which I think says a lot. The blend of the kimchi sauce with mint and pickled raisins meshed together really well. The tuna tartare, while good, was just ordinary. The Serrano peppers had a nice kick to it. The wagyu Yakitori was decent as well. It had mushrooms on a skewer along with it and I preferred that. For wagyu, it wasn't as fatty as I'm used to. Now the entrees. I really liked the rigatoni. The noodles were cooked perfectly and the sauce was amazing! The salmon was cooked well. Had a nice crisp too it and the sauces paired well with it. The tomahawk was extremely underwhelming. Again, for a ribeye, there wasn't much flavor. And there wasn't any seasoning. It comes with a chimichurri & some other sauce but both of those were just as flavorless. We seasoned ourselves with the salt and pepper left on the table. It does come with arugula (really lemon-y) and grilled onion. I ended up wrapping my steak pieces in the onion to give it some flavor. Food 3/5 Service 3.5/5. Our waiter was nice. Didn't try to upsell anything, answered what ever questions we had on the menu. The food runners and bussers were pretty on it with clearing plates & refilled water. But again, the hostess kinda sucked. Ambience was prolly the only thing that was a 4/5. We sat outside and when the sun set, it was really pretty with the lights. I did get a cute little chocolate brownie/cake thing with a scoop of ice cream and a candle. read more

- wagyu yakitori (5/5): good portion, delicious seasoning & marinade, scallion makes it great, must try if u like mushroom! - lobster ravioli (4/5): delicious filling, corn toppings, sauce had a sour foretaste, but quickly mellowed, don't get this if you don't like sour tasting sauce! - 8oz flatiron steak (5/5): i chose the option with the chimichurri (comes blended) and it was a great medium rare, fatty, was very charred, but a great bite with a piece of onion, steak, chimichurri, and arugula altogether! would definitely try the mignon next time :) - sofia cocktail (3/5): pretty average, was strong, came with watermelon and tajin on top, not the best cocktail i've had, but server said it was most popular/recommended! tldr; ambiance was amazing, low-lit, nice temperature, didn't need a jacket, food was great, perfect for birthdays, anniversaries, or special occasions :) read more
I came to Isabel for my birthday dinner. Ambience-wise, it's a stunning restaurant with plenty of seating. There's a beautiful courtyard and so you can choose between an indoor or outdoor vibe. My server, Sunshine, was lovely. She was super helpful when describing the dishes I was considering. She definitely didn't lead me astray! I was seated promptly, and the overall noise level was comfortable (Note: I dined around 7 PM on a Wednesday evening). What I ordered: Drink: The Something About Cherry -- I really enjoyed it. Appetizer: Brussels sprouts with kimchi sauce, mint, and pickled raisins. Entrée: Lobster ravioli with shrimp. Sunshine mentioned ahead of time that the ravioli didn't contain lobster chunks, so I added shrimp. In hindsight, I probably should've tried a different dish--it was just okay. On a positive note, the staff kindly offered to charge my phone, which they didn't have to do, and I really appreciated that gesture. Overall, the experience was good, and there are a few other dishes on the menu I'd like to try. I'd come back, but I wouldn't necessarily call it a must-visit restaurant. read more

Loved this place! Amazing atmosphere, you feel welcomed right away. The Asian salad was incredible, such a perfect mix of textures and flavors, really well balanced. Sunshine was super cool and even brought out a birthday dessert for the bday girl even though we didnt ask. Very cool place, love the stairs and the tree in the middle ofnthe courtyard, perfect for photos! Food was muy bueno, salmon, chicken schnitzel, losbter ravioli, and all was great but the hit was the lemon spaghetti!!! 5 stars! read more

Hadn't heard of Ysabel and found it on Yelp. What a Gem! The place is beautiful contemporary twinkling lights and airy. The front hostess was delightful and seated us immediately for our 6:30 reservation to celebrate my Birthday. Eva was the best waitress. Kind knowledgeable and informative. Ordered Martinis, Flatbread was a very memorable item delicious, Hamachi Crudo wow, Seared Scallops, Braised short ribs with Tagliatelle awesome, and some Broccolini . What a great find. I love Ysabel! The food is really good--so full of flavor. You can never go wrong with their salads. The vibe here is also amazing. It's cozy, stylish, and has this really chill energy that makes you want to stay a little longer. Perfect for a casual night out with friends or even a date. The service was fast and super friendly, too. We barely had to wait for anything, and the staff made sure we had everything we needed. read more

Can you ask for virgin drinks/ non alcoholic drinks?
Absolutely! There's lots of options for non alcoholic drinks.
I'm allergic to eggs and nuts - is the pasta made with eggs and is there anything with nuts?

Do we need a reservation for brunch on Sunday?
It doesn't hurt. You can be a walk up, but make sure you're a small group of 4 or less- two is golden. We've done it plenty of times with spur of the moment brunches

If a group of 3 just want to go for drinks at 8:30pm on a Saturday (no dinner), is reservation required? No one is picking up the phone at the establishment.
You'll still need a reservation. Just keep calling because they will eventually pick up! It happened to be as well. So just keep trying(:

Yes. They've been open. Doors open @ 6:00pm. You prob won't get an answer until closer to that time. I'm a fan of this place. Sexy ambience + great food + cocktails

I believe they just opened for brunch so you should be able to get a table at that time.

Yes they are, some table has only two seats and some with four
