We came w/o a reservation and luckily beat the crowd at around 5pm for a table of four. The server took a bit to come out with some orders in our 4 people set, but their self serve bar has some wonderful sesame balls and other side dishes to enjoy in the meantime. I also enjoyed their crispy pork skin dish! It got busy after we sat down and at some point a hostess got into a screaming match with a customer (??) but other than that the service was accommodating in helping us switch to our set combo from ordering individually. It was a little hard to get a server once it got busy but overall the service was fine. Their meats were nicely marbled, and the quality of their dishes and base was what I expected from its price. I think between Haidilao or Yuan's Hotpot, I'd pick the latter for the more authentic feeling. read more

This was our second time here and we went here on a Thursday night and it wasn't busy at all, so we didn't have to wait. The workers were super attentive .. refilling our waters, taking away empty plates, refilling soups, etc. The food was just as good as other hot pot places I've been to, so I'm glad we came back since this place is way closer to us ~10 minutes away! I like that they let you choose 3 soup bases for only $1 more as other places only let you choose 1 or 2. I like that they have a number of combo platters to order so for two-person party, it makes it possible to eat more variety rather than committing to one huge plate of one type of item. There's your usual sauce bar and also the snacks bar, both with good variety and kept pretty tidy. The restaurant itself is spacious, *not* stuffy, and has two levels. So even though there might be a wait, it's not too long. For 2 ppl, it was ~$100 subtotal and we were stuffffed. Parking is available via a driveway next to the bldg that leads also to the back with more parking. read more

Really nice restaurant, but highkey was disappointed with the food. The service here was pretty good too, they often would check up on you from time to time. We were immediately seated since there wasn't that many people in the restaurant so far. You order everything from the QR code at the table, convenient! We ordered some ribeye, veggie combos, and a lot of misc. items. They do charge for everything, also the sauce bar as well. Their sauce bar was pretty clean and had a good selection to make your own. The side dish bar was also pretty decent, they mainly had snacks there, but I liked the cucumber side dish. They also had the dessert soups there too which I will get to at the end of this review lol. We selected bone, tomato, and spicy broth. So the tomato broth was the least impressive one, it didn't really have that tomato taste? And we don't really often eat spicy food so the bone broth was the safest to get. I only got the spicy broth bc I wanted to try it, but even the mild spice was reallyyyy spicy for me. I drank so much water that dinner lol. The meat quality was just okay, the ribeye was surprisingly tough even if you cook it for a short amount of time. Although, the wagyu meat here was pretty good. I was highly disappointed with the popping fish balls because they didn't have that fishy taste to it. We also got these spicy spareribs and they were just okay. A lot of the items were surprisingly very mid. It seems like maybe their specialty might have been the spicy broth, but it was all too spicy for us lol. My dad wanted rice so we ended up getting the wagyu fried rice, which was pretty okay! Then onto the desserts, I think I only liked the purple rice dessert the most, and my parents liked the watermelon the most lol. read more

The quality of the food, service, ambiance and cost are comparable to Hi Di Lao in Arcadia albeit the space is roomier between the tables and each table shares a massive pot of soup (with up to 3 soup options chosen). The top has tiger handles - so fancy! My family wanted to try it out here for some of their more exotic hot pot items such as fresh goose intestines ($18/order as of Jan 2024). They have quite a few exotic items (various innards and proteins) and premium ones (Miyazaki A5 wagyu). The tomato broth was too thick for my taste -- almost like the viscosity of Campbell's tomato soap. I love that the veggies, mushrooms and root vegetables come in combos at $7.99/order so you can get a little bit of all the popular items without having to order each item a la carte. It costs $2.95/person to use their seasoning and side dish bars. The seasoning station is fully stocked with the usuals. The side dish bar had fantastic mini fried sesame balls with red bean paste filling, wood ear mushroom salad, seasoned mushroom salad and pickled chicken feet. The desserts weren't too palatable unfortunately -- strange textures included the slimy and cold white fungus soup, the bland cold jelly with brown sugar syrup and bland purple rice soup. After having a taste of each of those, I settled on a safe few slices of fresh oranges and honeydew melon. I'd absolutely come back here and highly recommend it to anyone looking for quality Chinese-style hot pot. read more
