Small store front and small parking lot. Highly recommend coming early in case there's a wait. Big fan of their beef or lamp combos. Portion sizes are always perfect and I always feel full after. Love that the servers will offer to add more broth into your pot or will turn off the fire for you. I like to turn my off halfway through to preserve the broth and because I don't like it too hot.

Im a little sad to see such changes to boiling point over the years. Its always been my go to spot but the menu changes, the sauce changes, its definitely not as great as before. I got the korean bean paste and its changed recipe pretty much entirely. The veggies, the seafood inside, the amount of everything is definitely different. I do think the flavor is still there, the meat is still great with the dipping sauces. Service is great and inside is always pretty clean.

This has always been my favorite hot pot place. Came for lunch, even with the heat. This place always hits the spot. The service was really good. I always get the beef and it never disappoints. Plus you get free green tea for lunch. If you don't have this place in your hot pot rotation, then you are missing out.

First time at this location, and it was pretty good. We came right when it opened at 11 a.m. on Saturday and were the first customers. It looks like if you arrive before 12 p.m., there's no wait. After that, people start lining up. The food was on par with other Boiling Point locations. Service was fast, and everything tasted good. Overall, a solid spot. Note: Check Boiling Point's Instagram, they often post influencer codes in their posts for a free side dish. I was able to get a free cumin lamb, which is about $7. Parking: They have a medium-sized lot.

I went here on Saturday and the wait was over an hour which was not surprising because it was cold and sprinkling that day. Usually when the weather is cooler and rains, the wait is usually longer. Once I got seated, I ordered the Mild Beef hot pot and honey green milk tea. My honey green milk tea was very sweet so note to self, next time, ask for less sweet. My mild beef hot pot was really flavorful and the portion was more than enough. Sadly, they didn't give us the chia tea jelly at the end. Service could be better but the workers were really busy trying to clean the tables so the next group can come in.

We were all craving hot pot for lunch one day so we decided to try Boiling Point with my SIL. Portions are large here but the food itself is underwhelming, the broth is too spicy, the staff are pretty inattentive, and the prices are high so I'm not sure we'd come again. Drinks are good though. For our lunches we all got the Beef soup at the mild spice level. The portions are generous and each soup comes with tons of add ins like tomato, corn, mushroom, tofu and tofu skins, meat ball, fish cake, imitation crab, and a few little veggie options. The tofu and veggies were decent. And while the portion of beef provided was impressive, much of it was extremely chewy and fibrous so wasn't very enjoyable.  The mild spice level was still very spicy - so much so that it masks any potential flavor in the broth. And the water refills were infrequent so that made it worse lol. They were extremely busy so it's understandable - but maybe they should consider water pitchers at each table or a central water station that's self-serve.  Each person gets their own burner stove at the table - but there's not a way to adjust the temperature and the soup is just constantly boiling heavily and overcooking everything so I really didn't like that.  For our drinks, my SIL got a green tea (iced) that comes with the lunch and said she really enjoyed it. Hubby and I shared a brown sugar ginger tea (hot) and it had a nice flavor overall - very ginger-forward - hubby loved it but it was too sweet for my liking. The drinks were definitely the win of our experience lol. Staff were friendly when available but definitely seemed overwhelmed. The vibes are minimalist and cafeteria-like. And the tables are packed tight so it gets very noisy and feels overcrowded. They have a small parking lot to the side and there's also street parking in the area.

Boiling point just isn't the same anymore. At first they increased the price, but they also gave more meat but now its expensive and back to normal meat portions. The spicy fermented tofu wasnt as good as it was before. It was just spicy tofu. Nothing stinky about it. Their sauce container got better but the spoon is still small so you have to scoop alot to fill the sauce dish, But they have shrunk that as well and i live soy garlic and bean paste for dipping. Its been a few years since they made their mild as spicy as their medium back then. Now its not too bad. I usually get no spice but i was able to handle the mild this tine. At least they still give free tea for lunch. The thing they gave at the end also isnt as good as before. Parking in small but there is street parking so you might have a bit of a walk to get here.

Boiling Point is probably the best hot pot spot in SGV. There's almost always a line whenever we go, but it's still worth it every time. The broth is flavorful, the portions are satisfying, and everything comes out quickly. The service is consistently good, and the staff are efficient even when it's busy. That's not easy to maintain. Definitely one of my go-to hot pot places .

One of my favorite hot pot places in the SGV! I like going to this location because the wait time isn't too long compared to other locations and it has a parking lot or plenty of street parking. We order the Taiwanese spicy and 2 beef hot pots and everything tastes good as always! They are always so consistent with their flavors. If you come in on your birthday and show your ID, you'll get a free hot pot!! (Has to be the day of your birthday!) the ambience was nice and they had the AC on so it was perfect while eating.

10/12/25 Came around 7:30 PM on a Sunday and it was pretty crowded. We waited around 30 minutes to be seated. Food came out quick though. Standard boiling point taste. I got non spicy beef. They did run out or did not have the mutton though, which I was disappointed about. They also ran out of rice so we had to get noodles. They let you get extra cilantro + scallion herbs to sprinkle on your soup, but they ran out after giving two portions for the 6 of us to share. Service was pretty good despite how busy they were. They accommodated our requests for the promotion on how to charge the gift cards. The promo was get one free hot pot when you buy a $50 GC (that doesn't expire). A lid was missing from the sauces, which made me a feel a little uneasy about the cleanliness so one star off for that. The parking fills up quick but there is street parking.

When you finally get your food and have been in there for a bit, you realize. You done f'd up. We were a group of 9. The service was horrible. They took their time getting our order; we had to repeatedly flag them down for refills on water and Banchan. What's worse is that we're in the heat of summer and it was hot in there. Our entire party was sweaty and my baby was overheating. I asked them if they had the ac on and they said they did. And I stared at them like "oh you kidding" and she just said she had her ac on. When I was about to leave I went to use the bathroom, you know what they had it set at? 80. Y'all 80 in the summer. This place is cheap and the service is horrible Top it off, the food was expensive and not good. The seafood pancake, I will say was pretty decent. However, we got the galbi jim combo and KBBQ combo. The galbijim was wrong. It tastes like what people who have never tasted Korean food thinks it tastes like (tangy and a bit sweet). It also looks like they cook it separately then they toss it into the dish. They forgot our steamed egg included in the combo. The Korean bbq that costs $50 is a couple of pieces. Overall, smells great but so somewhere else to spend hundreds of dollars. They'd rather be cheap than keep repeat customers.

We originally were planning to go to another business in the plaza, but there was a wait and we decided on prioritizing our time. Solid Cantonese food, wide variety of menu items, and huge portions. It's a bit of an aged restaurant, but it's super nostalgic and you can tell it's loved by the community and families for generations. I mean, James Wang is on the placemat, if that isn't an indicator of what you're getting yourself into, I don't know what is. For our late night dinner we got: 1) Deep Fried Pumpkin with Salted Egg: -I've never had this before, but I love pumpkin and this was DELICIOUS. -Salted egg yolk batter fried onto kabocha pumpkin. Super crispy exterior. Moist, semi-fluffy pumpkin interior. Deliciously salty and savory with a slight sweet taste to it. Goes great with the unlimited rice refills. This would be a staple every time I go here in the future. 2) Ong Choi with Bean Curd Sauce: -Generous with the bean curd sauce. -Nutty taste, good crunch with the veggies. Not too salty. Went great with the rice. Very funny that we indirectly had a vegetarian meal. 3) Sesame Milk Tea: -Ginormous cup. Definitely enough to sip on throughout a meal, enjoy as a dessert, and for me to take to work to enjoy the next day as well! -Not too sweet and had a yummy roasted flavor with great texture as well. Slight graininess that wasn't too sandy. Another addicting order item that'll be another must order each time I visit. Don't mind coming back here again, especially for their huge milk tea!

You might experience a slight wait for your meal, but it is certainly worth it. As a Southern California Filipina, born and raised in San Diego, and with a chef for a father, I have had the pleasure of trying various styles of kare-kare. If the bagoong is not up to par, the kare-kare is not as satisfying. This was my very first experience with Crispy Kare-Kare, and I am definitely planning to return to Almuchow to savor one of my favorite Filipino dishes again. Bagoong is an acquired taste.
