Minnesota mild. Everything needed just a tad bit more seasoning. Decor is simple and clean. Reuben was good but very conservative n un-Ruben-esque. Bread was good but it lacked flavor bc it was a white bread. Sauerkraut needed a kick as did the thousand island dressing. The chicken noodle soup also lacked ummpf and a bit on the greasy side. I honestly wasn't expecting much but was more than satisfied! I had the lobster roll and got a TON of lobster meat that was sandwiched by a rich buttery bread! Update: I have returned to Yum on several occasions and have found the food to be quite a bit better the next few times around. I tried the salads which are large and filling with fresh ingredients. The blueberry salad is amazing. The tuna melt is also another go to item and is perfectly toasted with melted cheese and tomato. I also ventured and tried some of their cupcakes and was very impressed. The icing is so light and not overly sweet. The cake itself was moist and flavorful and some even have a delicious filling in the middle. I will definitely be going back for more cupcakes. Service is always fantastic. They have the option to order online and you can always order food too go. They back everything very nicely and Yum is my go-to picnic food. Previous Review: I've had a few items from their bakery before (which were delicious) so I thought it was time to stop in and try this place for myself. It's an "order at the window" place, but there was plenty of seating inside and out. I was in a hurry so I asked for my order to go. Service was great and very prompt. I had the Turkey Focaccia and my husband tried the Reuben. We both agreed to share a slice of the coconut cake. The turkey sandwich reminded me of Subway, nothing special. Sliced turkey, shredded lettuce, tomato etc. The Reuben was much better and was probably one of the best Reuben's I've had. They have homemade chips that they serve as a side which were pretty good. The cake was also good, but I've had other things from here that I would recommend over it (try any of the bars or cookies). I've been going to Yum! for almost 7 years. I cannot think of a time when I've ever been disappointed. From the great salmon dishes, breakfast sandwiches and cupcakes, to the french fries, tuna, egg and chicken salad sampler plate and matzo ball soup. Everything is fresh and delicious. Most recently, I met for breakfast with a friend, early on a Saturday, and had yummy soft and fluffy scrambled eggs and their house made sausage. love this place and I think their food is good. i brought my family to celebrate mother's day we ended up disappointed. they don't allow ordering other food aside from their small and limited breakfast menu during breakfast hours. the steak was extremely small, bacon was hard to chew and the breakfast potatoes was bland and very oily!! my daughter did not enjoy the food at all. probably won't be coming back to this restaurant for a while. read more

Had a lunch meeting today with a former business partner. My wife and I had a good lunch at the original Yum a few years ago and this one was recommended to me recently. I wanted to like Yum but it was not to be. First, the place is loud. LOUD! Conversation was difficult to impossible. (I was face-to-face separated by maybe a foot from the person who took my order and she had to ask me to repeat it because she couldn't hear.) Second, it is really an upscale Culvers. Order and pay, get a number sign to put on your table, etc. I guess if a restaurant has a clientele that will put up with this type of mechanized feeding, it is a good deal financially. Plated meals that we saw and were served were very attractive. But for the $15.95 fish and chips I was expecting two or three pieces of the advertised Alaskan cod. What I got was maybe a half dozen small scraps of fish cooked to mush consistency in a nice crisp fried batter. The batter was by far the best part. The fries were quite good, but at $15.95 the dish was overpriced by a third. My partner had a Reuben that was very attractive to look at. As we were leaving, completely unprovoked by me, he recommended Arby's as a place to get a better Reuben than the one he had just finished. So .. I won't be back. The deafening noise would probably have been an adequate deterrent but the food just cements the decision. read more

While a little spendy for the concept, Yum does a great job with their food & baked goods. Their scones are amazing, especially the blackberry crunch. Their scrambles for breakfast are also delicious, haven't had a bad one yet, but the Cali one is my favorite.
