I am coming a few times to pick up donuts and bagels for a meeting. Everyone is very nice and friendly. I love that they toast the bagels and put cream cheese on the side. However, the only negative I see is how much they charge for a side of cream cheese. It's almost as much as a dozen bagels. I don't blame the workers for this, but the company really needs to consider how much they're charging. read more

I recently went in the morning for some muffins that I always see when I buy their wonderful donuts. I bought 4 muffins, 2 bran, 1 blueberry, and 1 banana. The service was great as usual. I brought them home for my family to enjoy. Unfortunately my wife and daughters all thought they tasted stale. I sampled them and I agreed. They gave me moldy cheesecake and when I complained they were of no assistance because THEY failed to give me a receipt -Mind you, I sat in the location, so they KNEW I had JUST purchased it. Then, as I went AFTER that incident, I started off with an order of 3 donuts that then turned into a half dozen. The lady who was assisting us, rolled her eyes and was so rude. I was skeptical, as empty parking lots signify a not so good experience. Anyway walked in to a nice and clean donut shop. First time here and I'm liking it already. Noticed the mini donuts right away due to the cute colors. Under $3 for a half dozen. It's a good deal especially if you don't want the guilt of devouring a whole regular sized donut. Then, I noticed that they had cream puffs. I love cream puffs. Got a half dozen at 49 cents a piece. I was recently at Yum Yum Donuts in Baldwin Park. The service was incredible. Every single employee (all women) I came across was incredibly nice and helpful. A friend of my mom's informed us that they make at this location a couple of Guatemalan pastries: hojaldras and champurradas. They are absolutely delicious! They are not greasy or heavy like in most places. I keep going back for that. I was happily surprised that the place is so clean and every lady who is behind the counter is extremely professional and super friendly with all customers; no matter what the age or gender . This positive actitud from the employees at Yum Yum sets a beautiful atmosphere of friendliness among the customers. It's infections . An older customer who was having dinner helped me with the door before the employees could have a chance to offer me to help me . He was closer to the door. The store is so clean and it always has fresh flowers. Who ever owns this store has trained well their employees and I hope the employees feel appreciated and respected by the company manager and supervisors. We all need one another. We are in this journey together and must treat each other with kindness and dignity. I wish more business were run by caring people like at this Yum Yum. As I'm walking in I have my mask in my pocket about to put it on and girl employee is really rude and tells me to put it on without saying please or didn't notice me actually pulling it out my pocket. I would lower this to .12 of a Star if I could. Came into the store, my friend and I got a half dozen donuts just before midnight, asked for a cup of water. The guy working handed me a coffee cup of water, when I took the cup in hand i noticed the water was pretty warm, hot almost with ice cubes in it. This donut joint is on my way to work so I stop in every once in a while since it's so convenient. The parking lot is shared w/a burger place so sometimes can be crowded but I've always managed to snag a spot. The women and older man working behind the counter are always nice and inviting. The donuts and croissants I've picked up fm there have always been fresh and tasty. The coffee is just ok, and they only have a mocha or vanilla flavored creamer. I grew up eating donuts from this place since I live one minute away but recently they have been giving me old donuts. They have fresh donuts I see them but somehow when I asked for them they give me the ones in the back that look a little older then the ones in front and when I get home and taste them they are hard they don't really taste fresh. I actually know when I'm getting an old donut I'm just more embarrassed than the employee to say "hey can i get a different one that one is old" I understand they have to get rid of the old donuts first but why lose a customer over old donuts when they clearly have fresh ones.
