Although I used to regard Honda repair prices as very high, I think the local garage may have increased their prices. Because, Yuma Honda is now only slightly higher than the garage. Just recently I bought some new tires from Yuma Honda. I compared four dealers, using their online stock -- either available in the shop or available as an order within three days. Big O was the most expensive, Walmart was the least expensive. Discount Tires and Yuma Honda were comparable. I got my new tires from Yuma Honda -- the exact size and brand that I like. Sometimes things change for the worse, such as at my former garage. And sometimes things change for the better, such as at Yuma Honda. The current employees at Yuma Honda are very efficient and courteous. If you live in Yuma, think twice before buying a Honda Pilot. I bought a 2025 Elite and within 2,000 miles, the power liftgate stopped working -- turns out, it shuts down on purpose when it gets too hot. (We live in Yuma, Arizona -- it's hot 8 months a year!) No one told me the car had a seasonal tailgate. Also had issues with the stereo cutting out in town and the key fob not unlocking the doors. Dealership service shrugged it off, offered no loaner, and left me stranded with kids and no reliable way to get to work or sports. Only after filing a BBB complaint did the manager finally call me. I sat around most of the afternoon waiting to get answers. when they finally got back to me they said it would be better to look at one that was way more expensive. what happened to the days where the salesmen really tried hard to put you in a car that was in your budget, they salesmen didn't even show me any options to what I had explained to him. Shady service. I bought my 22 Accord here and they were really quick with responding. They installed the GPS alarm and it goes off inside the cabin for 2 minutes anytime there's a loud noise. I showed the the video where it went off when the car wash vacuum set it off. Granted hands free phone conversations have set it off as well. But the worst of all is that when I took it in for an oil change they took it for a Joy ride to get lunch. I'm not ok with that. Earlier this year we bought a 2025 Honda Pilot Trail sport and the overall purchasing process was okay minimal back and forth before coming to a deal. fast forward to labor day weekend and our AC goes out in Palm Springs on our way to Disneyland with our 3 kids (6,5, and 1 years old). We called multiple dealerships but obviously due to the holiday weekend no one was able to see us. We live in one of the hottest locations in America (Yuma AZ). Well we dealt with 2 hours remaining to get to Disneyland sweating a chugging water with constant stops to check on our baby to make sure she was okay and then had a 3-and-a-half-hour drive home that Monday doing the same thing... We call Yuma Honda because we bought the vehicle from them, and they were able to get us in quickly however the news quickly came that the compressor went bad and something melted... When I asked how long this will take to fix, they told me this part is on back order and no timetable on when it will be fixed. We asked about a loaner/ courtesy car, and we were informed since we did not buy the special extended warranty with them, they will not give us one. I called Honda Corporate and unfortunately, we were told the part will not be available until mid-November. So that leaves my family in the predicament of 1 vehicle or risk the safety and well-being of my children and drive as i drive this vehicle with no ac and 100+ outside. I am now in the process of talking to a lemon lawyer since they can't fix this part for months and with no assistance from the dealership that I forked out $50,000 dollars to for a vehicle that couldn't even last 1 summer in Arizona before braking. My recommendation is too safe yourself the trouble and go to Phoenix. The dealerships I have dealt with there are equipped to assist with these types of situations happen and don't leave you hanging. read more

If you want a nice local Honda, go here but be very careful. These guys are very shady. They are not your friends, and they most certainly do not have your best interests in mind. First, the car I was actually interested in "wasn't available" but of course more expensive ones were. They immediately try to get me to sign some papers but I said no and then they give me "such a great discount" to try and convince me. Later that day I checked the website and the MSRP was exactly the same as their "great discount." I matched the VIN to the car in the website and to the paper, so they can't say it was a different car. So I say no and tell them I'm buying with another dealership. Next morning they call me and somehow a car similar to the one I was originally interested in was magically delivered the night before. I guess Santa Claus came through. Coincidentally, the car that was "delivered" was identical to the one that I was interested in and was listed on the website as "in stock" a week before I even set foot at the dealership. I definitely would have bought that one I was interested in, but since they wanted to play me for a fool, I went somewhere else. Who knows, maybe it was all one big coincidence. Feel free to buy a car here but be very careful and take an experienced buyer with you if possible. read more

I just went for an oil change about a week ago and four days later, the oil is already black! This is very disappointed and I don't think that I'll go back to get a service here anymore. The reason that I gave 2 stars not 1 because the guy who was taking care of me was nice. However, I feel that this dealership is trying to get me fix or change stuff that I don't need yet and the price was super expensive. I know this because I went back to the mechanic that I have been going to him for years and compared what the dealership said and what my mechanic suggested me to get service. On August 22, 2022, I brought my recently purchased 2016 Honda CR-V in for new brakes, rear windshield wiper repair, plus all the 90K mile maintenance services. The total bill was $1825.67. After returning home I found that the oil life gauge had not been reset, the service light was on and there was a half-full water bottle in the console. A few days later I discovered that I could not use my audio system because it required a code [it was working fine before it was serviced]. The code is not in the glove compartment or anywhere I can see. Also, I had asked Eric to disconnect the key fob 'beeper' as it was beeping after just one press of the button as well as whenever the driver door was opened. This was not done. When there is carelessness about the small details it makes me wonder how carefully the important items were performed [or even if they were performed at all!]. The personnel were polite and the van driver was great. But I'm disappointed in my experience overall and would not recommend this shop. read more

WORST Service receptionist I've ever experienced. I came in for a recall among a list of other things that is wrong with my brand new car and this rude person decided not to have a drop of decent customer service. Unfortunately, I feel this may be the standard since the next closest Honda is either in Kingman or Phoenix. I made the appointment, I care about the car enough to bring it in and this receptionist decided to refuse to talk to me at the end of our "service". I don't even know if the recall, which was the bare minimum that could have been fixed, was addressed. I've been to 5 Honda dealerships in 3 states, I have always taken my Honda to a Honda, and I have never had as much trouble as I've had with Yuma Honda. I have always trusted the service I've received everywhere else, but these guys have cheated me multiple times. When I first arrived in Yuma they recommended that the most urgent thing I should do is have my timing belt replaced, based on my milage. I did not remember if I had had it done, because all of this is completely not my area of expertise. I pay Honda to know if I have had it done, that's why I always take it to a Honda so that it can be in their records. Yuma Honda claims they do not have records in their system of work I've had done at other Hondas. So I paid them $1500 to do the timing belt and now I've finally had the chance to organize old files and I see that I had had my timing belt replaced ONE YEAR prior to that in New Mexico. Of course I am super irritated with myself for not knowing this or remembering it, but also when Yuma Honda claims they don't have a record of other Honda work, this is not true. A Honda dealer in the Seattle area told me there is a record, they just have to do some extra research/digging. The last time I took my Civic in, I had a small crack on my windshield which has been there for 4 years. For 4 years the crack has stayed small, because I stopped it with some windshield glue. When I picked up my car from servicing, the crack is now extended up the entire windshield. I know it is not "the heat" that caused it to crack, since I've lived in Yuma for 3 years and the crack never grew. My car was in their shop for one day and somehow they cracked it. I now have to get it replaced since it is no longer under the legal limit of crack sizes. I sometimes feel when I take it in to get one problem fixed, mysteriously a new problem appears after they've serviced it. On the same visit, when I picked up the car I noticed a small rattling noise that had not existed before. After a couple days driving around with this noise, I happened to notice that my front hood was not closed! I paid them almost $2000 to work on my car and they cracked my windshield and didn't even close the hood. It could have flown up and I could have crashed or caused other people to crash on the highway. Every now and then my front parking light and sometimes headlight goes out. Then it comes back on. Then it goes out again. Three times I have taken it in to have it looked it. "There's a loose connection," they tell me. Fix the connection. That's what I'm asking them to do. Instead, they've replaced the bulb twice, at $65 a pop. One time, the guy reached his hand in, "jiggled" the connection and it turned on. That's how he "fixed" it. Then a month later I was driving on a dark windy road at night in the rain and realized the headlight was out again. I could have gotten in a fatal car crash that night because they told me they fixed the problem and didn't. I don't know how they can have a clean conscience when they are taking money from a lady who makes far far less than they do, and endangering her life. Another time, I was hearing a noise on my passenger side. They said they would contact me by noon. At 3 still no word. I called them. They told me they couldn't hear the noise, and it took them until 5pm to finally hear it, so that I had to leave my car overnight. Finally they discovered it was a cracked manifold and it would cost over $1500 to have it fixed. When I had multiple friends drive with me and listen to it, they told me they thought it was simply a wheel bearing. I went back and asked them to fix the wheel bearing. Lo and behold, the sound went away! It was a less than $300 fix and they almost cheated an extra thousand dollars from me. Every time I tell my guy friends about the work Yuma Honda did, they tell me I overpaid by a long shot. I have always been willing to pay extra to have peace of mind, knowing that my Honda is in the best hands. But this place is sheisty, untrustworthy, and at the end of the day, negligible and dangerous. I have honestly never written a negative review about any business I've ever dealt with, but this place has me livid on a regular basis. Oh and the last time I went in, to have what multiple guy friends thought just needed to be an AC belt replacement for about $500, they told me I needed to have the compressor clutch replaced for $1500. "It won't be a penny above $1650" Daniel told me. When all was said and done it was almost $1800 even with the "discount" he gave me. When I asked to see the manager, Daniel told me the manager wasn't there. When I asked when the manager would be back, Daniel told me he didn't know. When I asked for the manager's contact info, Daniel told me they don't give that out. Then he had the nerve to tell me "I feel like you're just looking for problems to be upset about." read more

There is nothing good I can say about this place. It is overpriced and the people in sales are the fake as people I've ever met in my life. The general manager is not worth a darn and does not care about his workers nor does he care about the customers. I have been to two Hondas in my life and both Honda dealership sold me lemons. The first car a bar Honda Frisco Texas and even though it lasted me for three years it went out on me multiple times while I was out of town and I had to get it towed at least twice. Since the last time I got it towed was the last time I would drive the car I decided to buy a used vehicle from Yuma Honda. The sales girl Melissa was sweet and knowledgeable but unfortunately sold me a deal too good to be true. The Honda HRV I bought was slightly used and I had it for under seven months before the electrical harness burned out on me. I had to buy a brand new car and Honda was not willing to do anything to lend me a hand, Of course. They were giving me an out rages price for a new car with impossible monthly payments. I've been trying to get a hold of the general manager left and right but he doesn't care about anyone and I would like to keep this message clean but the way that I feel about this place I want to use all cursewords in the book. I want everyone to avoid this place to make sure they do not get cheated like I did. I will be contacting the FTC and the BBB and anyone else I can, possibly even a lawyer to see what I can do to prevent these crooks from cheating people. I don't know how these corporate bastards can sleep at night knowing that they're giving away lemons and selling people vehicles that do not work. This is two in a row and I'm not going to make it three. I would recommend going to the Toyota dealership or the Mitsubishi dealership instead because they're willing to work with you. I hope this message has helped anybody out there who is looking for a car and I pray that you never buy a vehicle from this place and I hope this place shuts down. One of which was walking slowly towards the department and looked away when I waved. I went to get my baby out of his seat to go inside, and it took me a few minutes to get him situated, as I had to get a quick change, during which time two more gentlemen walked past me, both of which looked away as soon as I made eye contact. So I go inside, at which time I'm finally approached. I ask if there is someone who can help me change a bulb in my car. I wait a few more minutes, and I their credit, they did finally come help me change it at no charge. This was nearly a year ago, the review had been sitting in my drafts. What do you mean? Well ok so I'll play your game, what can you do? Uh, uh, uh I don't know!!!! So this societal reject could not even finish a sentence without saying "I don't know " WTF. Did you want to sell a car today? So we got to talking about the car again trying to figure out what we can get it for and he tells us well we close at 5 PM and it is 530! I did give them another shotafter new management and I at least had the sense to come away without a car this time. I don't know what is about Honda and hiring high school drop outs but I am really starting to question the hiring process. I bought a brand new Honda here when it was Country Club and got screwed over in every direction. So, I took the opportunity to pay off my car and throw the keys back in new managements face just so I can get some satisfication in sticking it to Honda. Well, I called after looking up the car I wanted online and set an appointment to come in and test drive my newbie. Whattayaknow they sold that just moments before I walked in! What a coincidence. So, Mr. High School drop out casually asks me what I do for a living (....trying to see how big you can screw me?) I reply that I am an RN. Then he quickly says he's got the pefect car for me and runs out to grab another. He pulls up in an Element with almost 90,000 miles on it for $15,900! Are you serious?? Then they lowball me on my trade-in ($3000 below KBB) and turn to jerks when you question them on it. They are tricky about holding your keys in the managements office (...can I move your car?....look at your trade in?) so you don't have a opportunity to exit when they start blowing smoke up your rear. I figured I'd stick around to see what "deals" this new management can entertain me with. They actually gave me back my keys after the second round figuring that they can't screw me. I'm 100% sure you are just another number to this Yuma dealership when you walk in the door. They don't have much to compete with so you are a dime a dozen while youre there. While driving through Yuma on our way to California, our battery indicator light popped on. We found out that it was most likely the alternator at the Autozone. We didn't have any tools and it was 108 degrees out, so we decided to take the van to Yuma Honda for service. We waited about an hour for them to check out the car. The waiting area had cool a/c, cold water bottles, a kids' area, and comfortable seating. They had a popcorn machine, but NO POPCORN!!! (My son wanted to make sure I added that part.) They confirmed that it was the alternator, but they didn't have one in stock. We really didn't want to spend the night in Yuma, so we informed them that we were going to another service place. They brought our van up for us,and we left. When we got to the next place, they opened our hood to find that our engine cover was missing. Their driver had to go back to Yuma Honda to retrieve it! It is unfortunate that we wasted our time at Yuma Honda. They could have told us when we got there that they did not have an alternator for our model/year. read more

We had an appointment for 11 a.m. Brought it in a little early ; was told they would have it done about noon. We were told that the tire inflation system couldn't fail like it has ; the tire light does not reset itself and hasn't for approximately 500+ miles. Went back to pick the vehicle up at noon and it was parked outside in the sun and non one had ever looked at it. So later that afternoon the dealership sent the courtesy vehicle to pick one of us up from the Foothills; that was basically the only good thing about the whole day. When I got back to the dealership, I specifically asked what the computer reset was and was told that it was reset because of the tire inflation issue. I would rather have talked to the technician that worked on it to get specifics of why. I have worked around parts, another local dealership, and managed a small fleet of vehicles for a government agency in the past. I felt like I was treated like a dumb blonde female. Then the cashier when I went to her counter, grabs my credit card and sets it down on the paperwork and proceeds to highlight a bunch of information with a pink highlighter. Then she starts to ring up the sale and hands me back the card after touching it three times so that I can put it in the card reader. Way to go!! You just contaminated my card and all your paperwork with any germs present. I thought everything was supposed to be a touchless transaction. We did not buy the car at Yuma Honda because they wouldn't order one, and tried to sell us a four year old used one for basically what I paid for the first one of two that we have bought from Tempe Honda. Looks like we should have the service done there also. We have been promised things from Yuma Honda that never happened. read more

Please!! Do not purchase a vehicle here!!! They sold us a Tahoe that started breaking down 2 days after the return period!! We asked them to take it back and we would gladly buy a more expensive, more reliable vehicle. They told us the would buy it back for HALF what we paid for it 23 days earlier!! It was in our lease agreement for them to fix the broken front seat. After two weeks we called and they said they just ordered the part. Two weeks later they apparently "just ordered the part". Another week goes by, my husband went in and couldn't find anyone to talk to him and left frustrated after 45 minutes. The following week, we left it there ALL DAY, 8am-5pm and they didn't fix it. The next week, left it again ALL DAY. They still did not fix it and we demanded a rental car until it was ready. Miraculously it was done the next day...... Funny how that works when it's on their dime. The staff is terrible, they rig their vehicles to run just long enough to get you past the return period. As soon as you drive it off the lot, they don't give 2 craps about you. The final low blow is the 3 months it took to get our license plate!!! The temp one expired 8/23 and we got the plate 2 days ago!! Again, they kept saying "we just sent it". Shady shady business..... read more

Well, well, well.... What shall I say?? Okay, here's a little story - based on the truth and nothing but the truth! April 29th 2012, I went to Honda in the desperate need of a new car. Found one.... A 2009 Accord with only 25k miles on it - Certified Used Vehicle, that's what they called it. Certified means, the Car - Fax looked good, they put on new tires and did their little "multi point inspection" thing - most importantly it is under warranty, my friends!!! September 26th 2012, I came back to Honda for an oil change. (Don't worry I had some other oil changes done before... I didn't drive 10k miles without changing my oil!!!) My car was just fine... Nothing to mope about, just a quick oil change! That's it. SUDDENLY - Yuma Honda tells me that my tires are being worn off improperly. *Pardon me!?* Okay, well the TECH recommended a tire rotation. (front to back - and back to front) Yup, sounded weird to me, too. But they're the pros. As soon as I drove home, the tires have been rotated as recommended by the tech, my car made those weird noises. Some kind of rumbling sound. Back to Honda... "Well, you know, since your tires are worn off improperly, you would have to get used to this." "Excuse me!! My car was just fine until you messed with it! - Whatever you've done, fix it please!!" They ended up rotating the tires back and again coming back to me :" Ma'am, your car has an alignment issue!" I'm a very patient person, but I do have my limits!! Well, it kind of made sense to me, what the technician told me, so we did the 4-wheel alignment. After just a couple miles my car again started making those weird rumbling noises and pulled to the right. Not just a little bit, but so much, that I could not let go of the steering wheel for 2 seconds without getting off the road. So for the 4th time, I went back to Honda, talked to all them managers and told them, that they must have done something to my car, that damages my tires and probably my alignment as well. After only 10k miles, my tires are in a horrible condition. (I've seen those tires 2k miles ago, right before the oil change on 09/26/12 and they looked good/normal) Now every tire is damaged in a different way and one of the front ones looks like a freaking slick!! WTF did you guys do to my car???? Honda denied a replacement of the tires on their own expense, since now all of a sudden, I over-pressurized my tires and missed ONE tire rotation 3k miles after I bought the car! BTW, the tire pressure was always exactly within the guide lines and OMFG I missed 1 freaking tire rotation!!! They were great when it came down to selling a car, but their customer service is like "Hemorrhoids" - a pain in the A@#!!!! If you want to talk to someone who is capable, ask for Jared or Julio!! I would not buy a car here again. I bought a Mazda 3 here about a year ago and since then the keyless entry hasn't worked because of the alarm system intefering with the wiring. I tried to get it fixed through the warranty but my local dealership doesn't want to touch it because the alarm is "after market". When i bought the car the conversation as to whether i wanted an alarm system or not never took place. All i was told was that my car would be ready as soon as the alarm system was hooked up. And then I apparently signed for it amongst all the other paper work. Very sneaky and not a good way to do business in my estimation. I tried to buy a used Honda Civic. I gave them a fair offer based on true car and Kelley Blue Book prices. They declined. Two weeks later, they lowered the price $1000 (noted on website) less than what I offered. The sales man called me and tried to get me to purchase the car for $1500 more than it was priced online.
