I am updating my review to 5 stars based on how this issue was ultimately handled. I originally brought my 2017 Nissan Titan XD in on December 2, 2025, for a recall repair that was expected to take about four hours. During that visit, a new warning appeared immediately after the recall work was completed. The truck had no prior engine warnings during my four years of ownership. The diagnostic code that surfaced was P008B-00 (Low Pressure Fuel System Pressure Too High), which appeared only after the recall service and left me without my daily driver for several days. I initially worked with a service advisor, and while the situation was frustrating at the time, the turning point came when I spoke directly with Lisa, the Service Director, on the morning of 12/12/25 when I picked up my truck. Lisa went above and beyond to ensure she exceeded my expectations. She listened carefully, understood my perspective, and treated the issue with professionalism, urgency, and genuine care. Most importantly, she owned the experience from the customer's point of view, made things more than right, and ensured my truck was fully resolved and running perfectly. I had a very frustrating experience with Horn Nissan in Yuma Arizona that turned what should have been a simple purchase into one of the worst car-buying processes I've ever had. I originally saw a vehicle listed online and called to ask about it. Shortly after, it was removed from the website. I was told it needed some work but was still scheduled to come in and see it. When I arrived, I worked with Christina, who was kind, professional, and helpful throughout the entire process. She had been communicating with me consistently and advocating for me as a customer. However, once I was ready to buy and tried to negotiate based on fair market pricing, management stepped in and actually raised the price instead of negotiating. At that point, another salesperson, Jairo, was brought in to take over the deal while I was still there ready to pay cash. I found it very unprofessional that he spoke negatively about Christina and suggested she didn't know what she was doing. Management then told her to step away even though she had handled the process from the beginning. I specifically asked that she receive commission because she earned it, but I have no idea if that ever happened. I asked to speak with the general manager, Manny Rodriguez, since he ultimately makes decisions. He declined to get involved and left it to the sales managers, Luis Valenzuela and Emilio Calderon. Their approach felt dismissive and rude, and the whole interaction became uncomfortable and hostile. After purchasing the vehicle, communication got worse. Calls for updates went unanswered by both sales and service, and I had to call multiple times a day just to get basic information. When I finally picked up the car, it was released with no gas and no clear communication about the delay or status. While gas itself isn't the issue, the lack of professionalism throughout the process made it feel intentional and petty. Christina was the only bright spot in this experience. Everyone else made what should have been an exciting purchase feel stressful, disorganized, and unpleasant. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this dealership. read more

This review is for the repair center. They replaced the head gasket on my 2015 Nissan Altima because the car was failing to accelerate when I pressed the gas. It would then come to a complete stop. They replaced the head gasket and the day I picked it up, it broke down again. That was the last straw. I've gotten rid of the car, but I'm still on the hook for $1500 to replace the gasket. I should note that it was actually a $3000 repair and Nissan paid for half of it even though it wasn't under warranty. It's probably because they knew it was a lemon and they weren't confident they could fix it. (It was the 4th time this had happened when I brought it to Sonora.) This is the last Nissan I'm ever buying. Their product is unreliable and getting it resolved has been a nightmare. read more

Initial Impression: So I had never been to this place before and i drove in looking for the service center. It was not the easiest to find. You have to drive around to find it. Pros: Really friendly people, they offered me water & snacks, I got a free car wash with my inspection... which was Awesome!!! You also get a free car wash with your oil change... & its way cheaper than other establishments... around $20.some dollars... I know.... pretty amazing right! Cons: Just that at first i could not find the service center... but its probably bc i came in off of 32nd St. Overall Experience: So I have been to this establishment twice now, one to get my free inspection & the other to actually get it serviced. The employees were super friendly.... I was very accommodated, everything was explained to me & they washed my car on top of it. Everyone greeted me.... & nobody seemed to be having a bad day which is awesome for Yuma. The second time I came back the service was up to par, my vehicle service was faster than what was quoted & now I have cold fresh air in my AC. I was offered cookies & drinks & apples. They have a really nice seating area, it gets a lil cold but not too bad. I would definitely recommend this establishment to others for the great service & ecperience. Thank you John. read more

If I could give 0* I would. I took my vehicle to the dealership after they asked me to and they said they would give me an offer on my vehicle for a trade in or if I decided to sell it to them. They took a look at my vehicle, then said they would need to take it for a test drive even though I was informed they would be able to give me an offer without this previously. They take it for a test drive and then decided to not give me an offer at all that day. They said they would let me know. I wasn't even offered a test drive or anything even though I was interested in trading for a new vehicle. Never received an offer the next day. Total waste of time. read more

I stopped at Sonora Nissan to get a oil change and have them troubleshoot an issue I was having with my car. Scheduling the service was pretty easy, the customer waiting area is decent and they had a couple snacks. They were able to get my car taken care of in about 90 minutes and gave me some feedback about work that my car needed. They ended up quoting me for quite a few repairs which ended totaling about 5g's. A young me would've been panicked but 2020 me is much more composed. They gave me an itemized list and one of the repair was for the issue I had noticed. I almost always compare prices on repairs as well as check to see how much the parts cost vs labor. Dealer labor prices tend to be higher, Sonora included, but in comparing prices to other Arizona car repair shops I found that they were actually comparable. The customer service I got at Sonora was good and the rep I dealt with was pretty straightforward with everything. From my experience Nissan dealership service shops tend to have pretty good customer service even if they usually end up recommending pricey repairs. I'll bring my car back for another oil change if I need to. read more

Unbelievable experience today with Horne Nissan. I made an appointment to have my daughters Infiniti G 35 transmission fluid and filter replaced. I got a quote for $200 approximately to have it done we take the car in they keep it all day I finally called to see what's going on and make sure they change the filter and fluid and I'm informed by Rocio that they don't change the filter they just do a fluid withdrawal in it the pumps more new fluid into the transmission without changing the filter, she said that is the Nissan recommended method of transmission fluid and filter replacement and anything more would be major and would require several hundred dollars to complete but she said that the procedure for Nissan does not require the filter be replaced unbelievable!!!!! Pure lies and basically I was taken for $200 and have to find a reputable shop to replace the dirty filter in the transmission!!!!! Rocio ignored my concerns and when I tried to explain it makes zero logical sense to replace the fluid and not the dirty filter the fluid has to run through she kept repeating that Nissan does not include the filter replacement in the trans Service procedure-mind you her first comment was that the transmission did not have a filter another lie, so when I told her I it did; she then changed up and told me it wasn't in the procedure all lies $200 gone now I have to find a shop they can do this simple task correctly!! SCAM ALERT. Unscrupulous Horne Nissan in Yuma. August 2022 Nobody likes surprises and nobody likes Mutt and Jeff when buying a car. Had to get another used vehicle for my son. Yuma's lots are not always so plentiful for good/great used cars in the 11-13k range, especially being GTG mechanically and clean. Not really having a choice due to limited cars on the lots I seen last week/weekend, I decided on a vehicle available @ Horne Nissan Yuma. After test driving on Friday, I came back Monday to sit down with the sales manager, and go over paper work for the car I drove. The first thing I check is taxes being applied correctly on price we agreed. It wasn't correct. It was $25 is too much. Sales MGR Uriel scratched his head too. Then I asked him what the hell is "Dealer Installed Items for $299. ?" , I mean I seen a lot of items on a report they provided to me when I first test drove the car, but they were specific items named, like brake work, oil change and filters, etc. This was a generic name purposely being used --- He said it was anti-theft. I kept asking what ?, what do you mean ?, and finally the truth came out it was "etching" on the windows! He was trying to hide what it was.... & Funny thing also, when I read the final purchase order later, it had new and different numbers on all the line items, still adding up to the final price tho--(Dealers are magicians with numbers), but the name "Dealer Installed Items" changed to "VTR" ( not spelled out ).... I had to look it up =(vehicle theft registration ). disguise and charge huh? Nissan waited to spring the old, and I mean old SCAM of adding a $20 to $50 cost to THEM of etching the windows---a line item @ $299 on the contract and then say to me it's not negotiable its already on the car. What a scam. I recall this in the early nineties when I first started buying cars. Add salt in the wound, now that it's on the contract line items with doc fee's, its taxable too, (weird) ---whereas the oil change and many other things done to the car wasn't taxable, only the etching that is supposedly to register the car for anti-theft ??? I told Uriel the sales mgr it was B.S. and he said it was already done and that's the price, not changing it ! Sure, I could have walked, but good used car prices and choices in Yuma are really limited and for me, blowing up the deal for this and starting over was a difficult choice. Soooo I had to suck it up, feeling nickeled and DIMED... I have and will be leaving reviews everywhere I can, warning others to ask about the scam upfront and be able to deal it out of the contract price before they get attached to buying. SO be aware that Horne Nissan of Yuma are unscrupulous and greedy, using an old "etch" the windows for security SCAM to increase their bottom line and may charge you for a "Dealer Installed Item / VTR" that is TOTALLY UNECESSARY and DOES JACK to help. Cherry on top was the 1/4 tank of gas in the car was not topped off when they handed over the key. I just had to laugh being that was not surpirsing. They stopped filling up tanks months ago they told me... understandable right? Or is it? I will be contacting the Arizona Attorney General complaint department and let them know how things transpired during my deal. Can't hurt to report it, along with warning others. All the could of, would of HATERS can kick rocks... $324 is not affordable to many and this could really help 1, or maybe more people to be aware before working with Horne Nissan. read more

I have bought six cars over 20 years from Sonora Nissan the only car I got in town from a different dealership was the lemon and nightmare that made sure I never made that mistake again! Lisa Rimmer the service manager and the mechanic Sabino who is my own Ironman has taken such good care of us over the years I have always encouraged my family and friends to only buy their cars there. It's gotten harder and harder to find good people and good service and you will find it with them!! We called and left numerous voice messages with the sales manager Luis Valenzuela and one with the general manager Manuel Rodriguez, neither one returned the call. Finally we spoke with Phil and he made the appointment for us the following day at 11am. When we arrived Octavio (finance consultant) meet us and whisked us into his office, well we wanted to at least test drive the car first! So he gets us Christian, a sales consultant, who during the entire test drive would not stop talking! He was in his salesman mode and I wanted to tell him to please be quite, you don't have to sell us the car because we are already buying it!!!!! After giving them a cashier's check for almost $32,000 only Octavio said thanks and out the door we went. I have purchased many vehicles both used and new and at that time almost everyone in the dealership comes out and thanks you for purchasing from them and wishes you good luck with your new car, none of this happened at this dealership. too bad that down in Yuma you're stuck with this. Example, we purchased our new Denali from a dealership in Victorville California, all followed us out to the SUV and congratulated us and took photos of us with the new vehicle and posted it on Facebook! If we could have found this vehicle at another dealership, rest assured we would have purchased it elsewhere. 2018 Lincoln MKZ hybrid and they were the only one who had one in a 500 mile search. I took my Infiniti here for an oil change and tire rotation. I watched a guy tighten the lug nuts with an impact wrench. I watched him never measure the brake calipers ( unless he used his expert eyes ) he got to it the millimeter! according to the paperwork. He added oil, never checked the dipstick and that was it. No Quickee Lube would ever do such poor work. I won't be back. read more

I will never frequent this establishment again after the harassment I endured today by simply wanting to leave my car to be serviced. One of the technicians repeatedly insisted that I wear a mask. I asked him to produce a company policy that stated my requirement to wear a mask. He couldn't. He called the manager Manuel who also couldn't produce a policy concerning a mask. He attempted to cite the new city and county ordinances making it mandatory for masks in public yet, he did t know about the 6 ft or greater distance from others that made me exempt from the ordinance. I was harnessed by these two for about 10 minutes before I told them that, I would take my business elsewhere and never return to theirs. In a time where this country is tearing itself apart from the inside out, something as trivial as making me wear a mask just to submit to Sonora Nissan's paranoia and bullying should be the furthest thing from their minds. read more

Sadly, I had a check engine lite come on in my Rogue. I took it to Sonora Nissan and was told that I had two problems. The first was a sensor but the second was far more serious. I was told that it was a transmission issue and that the unit would need to be partially disassembled to be diagnosed. I was also told that this would not be cheap and the worst case might mean I would need to replace the transmission at a huge cost. The car was around 7000 miles past warranty. The service advisor, Rocio Duran and the service manager, Lisa Rimmer were so helpful with advice on how to contact Nissan customer support to help me get an extension on the warranty. They were so positive and help guide me to a great outcome that significantly lowered my out of pocket cost. I know that this is not an automatic solution and I was pleased and grateful to Sonora Nissan's service dept for their help! My Rogue was repaired and I'm back on the road!!!!!! read more

Under no circumstances you should take your vehicle here for service. It should be called a Stealer not a dealer. I was on a road trip and broke down in Yuma with my Nissan Xterra. After bringing it to the shop, they gave me the correct diagnosis on Sunday (3 sensors were bad plus my spark plugs were fouled). They were unable to get parts until Monday so I got a hotel room and waited. Come Monday, the "Foreman" had a look and the new diagnosis was I needed to replace my engine for $11,000!!!! This is for a 2007 Xterra. $11,000!!! That's for a brand new engine. I had the option of buying an engine with 86,000 miles for just over $9,000. Even though I'm "just a girl", I happen to know my way around an engine and the story this guy was telling was complete BS! He told me parts of my catalytic converter went into my engine and now my engine needs to be replaced. Um - that's not how this works. He then told me there was an intake that sucked the parts from my catalytic converter into my engine. Again, no - not how it works. The intake is at the top of the engine way before the converter. And finally told me my oil was milky and it was obvious I needed to replace my engine. "So I have water in my oil like I blew a head gasket?" I asked. Long story short, when I asked him to take it down from and rack and show me he came up with a story about how they had already taken all the oil out. Seriously? So I paid the $125 diagnostic fee, had my SUV towed to San Diego for $500 and my mechanic looked at it. The original diagnosis was correct - three sensors needed to be replaced, plus plugs and my catalytic converters, which, I wouldn't be surprised if this dealer actually busted them to come up with this story. Anyway - DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE FOR ANYTHING!!! What a joke. I will be filling a report with the BBB. read more

My family and I have bought several cars at this dealership before. So when I bought my new car here on Feb 24, 2016 I was excited. The minute I drove off the parking lot with my new car I got intense buyers remorse. I called my sales guy Ricky literally 10 min after driving away and he said everyone was gone for the night and to call them the next day. I talked to the Sales Manager Cesar and he treated me really bad. He told me he didn't put a gun to my head when I was buying the car, and at one point he even said that I was not 15 years old anymore to be changing my mind like that. I was being professional the whole time to him, no one deserves the horrible treatment I received from him. The way he treated me made me get sick and I told him I had to leave. While I was picking up my paperwork off the table he walked over to the other salesmen that were listening to him treating me like scum and they started laughing. Anyways, it is what it is but now a month later I'm still trying to get my new cars manual, my spare key, my mats, and my license plates! Today is the fifth time I call the dealership and finally they tell me my plates and registration are in. When I asked if the rest of the stuff was in the lady said that nothing else was ordered! I really hate this place and now every time I drive my new car it just reminds me of the incompetent people that I've dealt with. Service in person is great, but when i try to call to check up on my vehicle thats the worse service ever...they put you on hold for ever and return your call to the front desk.
