Service center: This is the worst Honda dealership service center I have worked with. They are not entirely honest and they perform shoddy work at top dollar. I would give them zero stars, but they redeemed themselves in the end and I would rate them at two stars. I have given this crew a reasonable chance, but they fail on both of the most important points. Do not trust them with your car. Honesty in dealing: First, Anthony (very aggressive) told me they did a Military discount. What he didn't tell me was that the Military Discount was an exclusive discount that could not be mixed with other offers. The oil change (most expensive in town), set of tires (PAX tires that you can only buy at Honda), and remounting a few rubber bumper clips all sounded reasonable together but did not qualify for a Military Discount. Unfortunately, I did not learn this until I got to the cashier and was asked to pay close to 20% more than I was quoted. The Military discount is not always a good deal and when confronted Anthony and the manager both basically ignored my frustration. I was not looking for a handout. I just value honesty in dealing. Please don't make me stumble through your labyrinth of a price scheme. I walked away wishing there were a better place in town. Avoid smooth-talking Anthony. I knew it was the most expensive oil change in town, but I figured at least I could trust the quality. After I picked up my car, I started smelling exhaust in the cabin. I figured my exhaust system was at fault - WRONG! They never put the $60 dip stick back in my car! I had no desire to talk to them about it considering the previous reception I got from the manager. Eventually, I did go back, and they surprised me by replacing the dipstick free of charge and cleaning out my engine compartment which had oil blown all over it. While they did redeem themselves by making it right, missing the dipstick doesn't speak of a good quality assurance program. read more

I'm from Idaho so of course get my Honda Element serviced there. I received a recall notice for my passenger side air bag so went to Yuma Honda where we winter. This places by far gives the BEST customer service that I have ever had from a car dealer. I was greeted by the most friendly service manager, checked my car in, told me an estimated time for completion, asked if I wanted the free 32 point check and a free car wash...well yes. When I arrived to pick up my car, I was greeted again by the same great service manager. He went over the 32 point checklist. He took me to the business office to check out where they offered me a cold bottle of water and said I owed nothing, even though they washed my car and topped off all my fluids. Now that's service. You know if I ever want another Honda, that is where I will buy it. read more

I have to say these guys are awesome! Called to get a quote on a repair and they told me it was covered under an extended warranty that I didn't know about. They got me in the very next day and took care of everything free of charge. I had called the Honda dealership in El Centro and they told me it would be 6 weeks to do the same repair! I highly recommend driving the extra distance and going to Yuma. Talk to Sal, he was excellent and very professional. And he drives a pilot too! read more

I purchased a Nissan Xterra last year from Yuma Honda and, I made the mistake of getting an mechanical breakdown warranty. Unfortunately, I was in a wreck and the vehicle was totaled. I made several attempts to get the remaining money back from the warranty with no luck. They were happy to take my money, but refused to reimburse me for remaining portion. I had good experiences with them before (w/ service Champ is THE MAN...period) Daniel in Sales was good as well. However, their General Manager, Owner and Office Manager are rude, dishonest and refuse to help with aspects of the military. I am just giving you a heads up, if you can avoid this place, then please do. Thier other sales people are nearly beyond repulsive and if I had it my way I would ensure no military person was allowed to shop there so they don't get treated the way I did. I would give them negative stars if it wasn't for Champ and Daniel. I even promised Daniel I would write an awesome review because of his great work and the promise of coming back to buy 2 cars within a year. I have now bought two cars from Yuma Honda. The first was a CR-V. When I had the alarm uninstalled they left a big scratch on the dash. I just bought my Fit and had the alarm uninstalled and they left a gouge in the paint on the back bumper. They must not like having to uninstall the after market alarm. I was highly satisfied with my recent experience with them. I went in looking for a used Malibu and Ruben(salesman) told me i wouldn't like the one I was looking for and he was going to be honest that it wasn't as great as they claimed it to be online. After seeing it for myself I really didn't like it at all so he showed me around to look at different used cars. He wasn't pushy at all and let me look around and answered any questions I had. The thing I liked most about him though was how quick he would come back and forth during the negotiating process. He didn't waste any time and told me exactly how it was and he even explained every step of the process that I had trouble understanding. Stephanie was another reason I had such a great experience. She did all the finance paperwork and explained it in such detail that I found out things I never knew from previous car purchases. She was not pushy at all either and didn't try to sell me anything additional that didn't already come with the car. Extremely disappointed with customer service, no other vehicles waiting still had to go inside for help. Went inside and said I was here for an oil change was told that there 5 people in front of me, I said that I had an appointment. Service rep did seem to give two sh__'s I had an appointment , He said it wasn't an appointment it was just letting Honda know I was coming. What the ___? So I want to know why I can online and make an appointment, but not get it honored. They can go themselves I will go to Havoline or Jiffy Lube and pay extra and get customer service and feel like a valued customer. read more

Serving my van here has cost me more than I ever would have thought. Being somewhat new to Yuma a few years ago, I didn't have a trusted mechanic so I opted to have the dealer service my van. Now that I have moved out of state, I am learning how BAD they are. After several oil changes there, my first oil change here I am told my drain plug is badly stripped and cross-threaded and that soon I'll have to shell out $400 for a new oil pan. Thanks Yuma Honda! Also, I had the timing belt "package" performed for over $1,200 only to find out that the "package" is only a handful of components and not a complete deal. Of course was not told this and why should I know-- they are the "experts" and factory trained so I've been told. Anyway, just 6 weeks and 3,000 miles after this service, my van starts making a funny noise and I find out that my timing belt tensioner and pulley is bad. Another $800. Labor was over half of that. Had the service guys dealt honestly, I would have paid a little more to have the ENTIRE package performed. Now I am up a creek and no Honda dealer here will help since they are all independent. A call to the service manager was useless. Apparently only it for the $$$ and trust me they charge plenty of it for crappy work. Do yourself a favor and hit up Import Car Specialist on 5th Ave. At least he's a human who cares! read more

I've been to Yuma Honda twice since they did a recall on my airbag. After they replaced the airbag, my airbag light came on. I took it in and they said a wire became unhooked, causing the issue. They fixed it, free of charge A few weeks later the light came on again. I took it back and they said if it wasn't the same problem then i would be charged a fee of $95. I was there for 2.5 hours and they came to the conclusion it was one of two problems. Then they charged me the $95 fee. Which isn't right because the issue was the same, airbag light was on. Next, i had just realized my wallet wasn't in my bag. And by then i had to go pick up my son from school. They wouldn't allow me to leave to get my son without paying. The offered to give me a ride but there's no way I'm transferring two car seats and having a stranger drive me & my kids around. Erick has always been nice but overall completely dissatisfied. I dealt with three different people over the phone, in an attempt to buy from Yuma Honda. All three people lacked follow through, the ability to be flexible, and a sense of being personable, which is vital in customer service. I had to call them back three times after them saying "I'll call you in 30 minutes." Without going over every detail and exaggerating the bad experience I had. I will simply say this...Yuma Honda you did not encompass any well customer service at all within three employees. To me, this says a lot. I will never buy from Yuma Honda. Had a fantastic experience here! Had to make an emergency stop in the middle of our road trip due to some warning lights popping up on the dashboard. Everyone here was extremely polite, helpful, and and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed during our wait. They even stayed over past closing time to take a look at my car and make sure everything checked out. After all this, they didn't even charge us for the inspection! Bought a used "certified pre-owned" Honda Odyssey from them. Took it in a bit later with issues, and they wanted $5000 to fix a ton of broken stuff. I finally was able to get them down to $2000 because the broken items should have been fixed prior to it even being put up for sale. They still said some of the other stuff was normal wear and tear. I hadn't had the vehicle long enough to have "normal wear and tear". All items fixed should have been taken care of prior to it being labeled a certified used Honda. At this point I just wanted to be done with them. I'm still having issues $2000 later tho, and still getting the run around. Will never purchase from them again. Hondas are great vehicles, but Yuma Honda service sucks! read more

All the following issues were supposed to be done already but still I had to get the tires psi ready on my own, windshield washer fluid empty even thou they did the complete car inspection, did not receive satellite radio like I was told, keys were not ready (I had to go back twice to get it fixed ) . When I brought this up to a supervisor he simply said I read the wrong I Information , even though I was told of different by the sales guy Ty . Horrible experience with the service department. Got a wheel alignment and my rotors turned on my vehicle. One month later after returning from a road trip I heard heavy grinding in my front rotor. After inspecting my front tire I found a bunch of metal shavings and one of the bolts from my brake caliper was missing! Called Yuma Honda and they arranged for a tow back to the dealer. This was a Friday evening right before a road trip I was scheduled to make. Despite that it ruined my weekend I went to pick it up on Monday. When I got there they could not find my keys. After asking four different people, I got my keys and they said "thanks for coming by". No documentation or explaination what so ever. I asked for a manager and he said he had no idea what happened and that the person who performed the maintenance was their best mechanic. Very unimpressed that they provided no paperwork or explaination how it could of happened. After I expressed my dissatisfaction I was offered a free oil change. Thanks but no thanks. Don't waste your time with the service department unless you have A LOT of extra time on your hands & A TON of patience. I tried to make an appointment to have air bags replaced on our Honda Pilot as there was a recall on them. I explained to Louis that the last time I was in it took 3 hours just to have the oil changed after being told they could get to it right away. Their policy is first come/first serve. Completely denied me making an appointment & to be sure to call the day before we go in to make sure they would have the parts. Then bring it in the next day & they would fit us in ASAP... which I consider to be very disrespectful of our time. In other words, if you can't leave your car there for them to get to at their convenience, just forget it!! You'll be waiting! They are the only place in Yuma to replace Honda recall parts! We don't have a choice... I'll take it out of town if I have to. The customer & their needs should always be first. With only 1 day off every 2 weeks, only one vehicle to use...I'm definitely not wasting my time sitting in their tiny little waiting room!!! read more

PLEASE DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE! Worst dealership, and scam artist. My Grandpa was contacted by them to trade in his Honda Odyssey and they made him a reasonable offer over the phone, so he went in and traded it in and agreed on the price for a new 2013 mini-van. Heres the sad part, my grandpa and them came to an agreement and decided on what extras he did and did not want. It wasnt until a few weeks later he recieved an invoice from his credit union that covered his loan and the dealership salesman and the manager both ripped my grandpa off for more than $7000.00!!! they know what they did, and basically ignored my 71 year old grandpa who is the nicest guy youve ever met. They took advantage of him and now treat him like crap its very very sad. They are crooks here. Please dont shop here you will surely regret it. This is exactly what happened and it angers me to see an honest guy like my grandpa being taken advantage of.
