I've been to a few frozen yogurt places but what sets this one apart are the flavors. This is a self serve, pay by weight place so it's all up to you. They had about 10-12 flavors to choose from. My biggest tip is to go past the yogurt and get the little small cups they have on the counter for samples and try all of the ones you haven't had. Someone recommended the avocado tart to me, something I would have never tried in a million years, and it was my favorite. Most of the flavors were a little more tart then frozen yogurt is traditionally made, which I loved. It's not sour though. I wish I had tried all of the flavors, I will definitely go back so I can do just that. read more

I crave this place all the time. Even though I only get tart yogurt, I still appreciate their range of flavors from taro to cheesecake. Who doesn't love having options, right? Apart from having a variety of flavors they also have "no sugar added" yogurt options which I think is very cool. I can't think of any other place that offers this to people looking for low carb alternatives. Nice going, Yumilicious! Their choice of toppings is great also. Back to four stars. I have to make a conscious effort to come here at off times so I'm not stuck waiting in line all the time. They have stopped rotating their flavors as much--although they did have pecan yesterday when I went and I decided to stray from my usual "healthy" cup o' fro-yo for a sinful chocolate-y, peanut butter-y, toffee pecan dessert. Wouldn't want to do that too often though, I try to justify myself coming here so often because I get fruits and stuff :p The bananas are ALWAYS brown and slimy. I previously complained about pomegranate seeds not being on the topping bar but I think they're more of a seasonal thing. They keep raising their prices (now more expensive than I Heart Yogurt in the middle of WASPville!) Don't get me wrong, I still love Yogilicious (soon to be changing their name from what I hear?) but I find myself more on a casual lookout now for a new potential staple place for my frozen yogurt fix. Modern fro-yo joint dishes out frozen yogurt (aka crack) by the ounce. Buyers wanted. It's a supply chain line when you walk in. You select from a small size cup to the ridiculously large family size cup and attempt to choose from one of about a dozen different fro-yo flavors. Yogolicious definitely earns a 5 star for flavor variety. The yogurt itself is a 3 or 4 depending on the flavor. One small complaint is that I wish they had the tasting cups right by the machines instead of by the topping bar - it becomes a jumble of confused bodies. Plus, where's the trash can or cup so you can dispose of your used tasting cups? Topping bar is top notch. Plenty of great fresh fruit topping options and dried healthy and not so healthy varieties. I admit I'm really not a big fan of build it yourself fro-yo places. I like how Berry Berry makes the perfect cup for you. A layer of yogurt, then toppings, another layer of yogurt, then more toppings. It makes for a perfect fro-yo because you get the optimal mix of fro-yo to topping ratio every bite. It's sort of like having to make your own sandwich at a deli - you should really leave it to the experts. The setup at Yogilicious doesn't make it easy to go back and forth between the topping bar and the fro-yo machine to do this unless you want to stare down a rabid pack of platinum blondes who don't appreciate the way you build the perfect cup of fro-yo. Plus, my fro yo came out to $6.55 for a small. That's highway robbery. I can get just as much fro-yo at equal or better quality for 2/3 the cost elsewhere. I don't care if I am addicted to fro-yo - this is a great way to wean me off my addiction. Unfortunately, the location can't be beat. So last time I was here, this guy got his cup and he filled it up with frozen yogurt and as many toppings he could add on to it. The thing was literally like a foot tall, and the toppings were falling off from it from the side. He thought it was one standard price for a cup, he had no idea he had to weigh it in. I laughed. Moving on, I really like this place. The place is always clean, you can play Wii, the outside seating is great when the weather is nice. I'm a fan of this place. I've tried Pinkberry and several of the pinkberry/red mango copy-cat places, and I had a better experience here than any of the others. The flavors were all pretty good. The yogurt was lighter in consistency than at other places, which was a bonus. The flavors that stood out in particular were the plain and cookies and cream. I like the model of adding your own toppings and weighing, rather than be constricted by two or three toppings. BTW, graham cracker grounds are a nice compliment to the yogurt. Fro yo has suddenly become the trendiest confection since cupcakes. Pinkberry and Orange Cup may have paved the way but Yumilicious is the only place I am giving my fro buck to. First of all the place looks like da club. Clean and bright with futuristic furniture. Flavors and toppings galore. I love their seasonal selection of hazelnut and pistachio. And their fruits look like fresh fruit and not syrupy stuff out of the can. I could be wrong but it LOOKS fresh. Any sort of stoner candy/cereal you need to top your fro yo is there too. The employees there are honestly what keep me coming back in addition to the PB fro yo. The staff seems to genuinely enjoy their time at work and the owner (I think) takes pride in his place which is nice to see. The Spanish speaking man that works there is LITERALLY THE CHERRY ON TOP. He is beyond adorable, cheery as all out and is keeping that place spotless. I feel terrible that I don't know his name or speak Spanish but he has the biggest smile, cleans up after any tiny spill or spot like THAT! If anyone is that happy wiping off spouts and clearing empty yogurt cups, I'm totally gonna support his paycheck. It's an ideal place to come after dinner, after a workout, or after a bad breakup. MMMMMMMMM!!!! Yogilicious is Yummilicious! This is my favorite place for yummy frozen yogurt. I loaded my cup up with coconut and strawberry yogurt and topped it with fruit. The strawberry tasted like real strawberries, none of that artificial crap! The coconut tasted like coconut milk and it wasn't too sweet.. just right. The owners keep this establishment real clean. Totally disagree w/ Liberty from Garland. Seriously...? Pinkberry on the corner of McKinney and Blackburn... pales in comparison. Yes, Pinkberry has been an old fad... definitely has caused the yogurt craze across the country... AND somehow finally made it's way to Uptown in Dallas... But with barely ~5 boring flavors and limited toppings... and have to wait till the server behind the counter have to give their commercialized "welcome" and painted smile on their face... immediately makes me lose my craving for yogurt. Yumilicious has a great variety of flavors that one can serve yourself. The ambiance is definitely more inviting for those young and old that enjoy a fun and social scene. HUGE fan. Of course, DIY always ensures you have nobody to blame but yourself should you create some nauseating concoction. So that part is taken care of . . well played, the artist formerly known as Yogilicious. Toppings are plentiful and diverse. (Do we use diverse to describe toppings or just Fortune 500 companies and colleges seeking government grants?) Anyway . . . they have mochi! They have brownies! They have blueberries! They have dark chocolate! They have oreos! They have nuts! I'm nuts for the toppings! Flavors are also unique and inventful. I was skeptical of avocado flavored fro yo, but I kid you not - it's phenomenal. A friend told me about the wild n' wacky combo of avocado and red velvet cake . . .so being the 12 year old boy that I never was, I dared her to eat it in front of me. . . .and then I dug in for a lovin' spoonful - guys - this is like crack. It's GOOD. I am not kidding. Perhaps the most charming part of Yumilicious is the employee that reminds me of Chuy from the Chelsea Handler show. If you don't know who Chuy is, he is vertically challenged and Hispanic. Now, play your very own game of "Where's Chuy" upon your next visit to Yumilicious. Chances are you'll find him somewhere underneath your arm at any given point, because this guy is DIALED in with a DISHRAG. He is there cleaning up any incidental spills, wiping off tabletops, sweeping the floor - pretty much keeping the place meticulously spotless. I really enjoyed my visit here. This was my first time, and I was impressed, as it was a lot cleaner than most frozen yogurt places I'd been to. We went in a few minutes before closing, but we didn't feel rushed at all, and received no huffing and puffing from the staff, who were in the process of wrapping up. In fact, we didn't even know they were closing soon until we had already paid and sat down and checked the hours on google maps! They had a good flavor variety, and some seasonal flavors too. Thanks to this frogurt hot spot, I'm officially an addict. I think about frogurt day and night. I've even thought about opening a place near my home in Wylie just so I can have it close to home. Even still, driving all the way to Uptown from Wylie is totally worth the drive to me. I love how I can just pile up my toppings. I can pour all flavours of frogurt into my cup and every topping imaginable. I love having OPTIONS! There's a sweet Hispanic man (if you speak Spanish, it's a plus) and he'll guide you through the process if you're a newbie to the place. He'll suggest combinations and thanks to him, you can count on the place being super clean :) Having ADD, I found it hard to concentrate on what he said and not just shower in frogurt. But the 2nd time around, I got the gist of things and he let us know what new flavours were on board. I like Pinkberry, but this joint blows it out of the water. I love the ordering process - getting to pile on all your shit, as much or as little as you like. Luckily, tonight, they had taro and it was perfect. I did taro with mochi and blueberries - fantastic! Everyone working was super helpful and the guy I talked to said taro was his favorite, but also recommended that I try the Green Apple. I've been coming to Yumilicious for years, but I must say that I was a devoted customer to Pink Berry when it was across the street from Yumilicious. Now that Pink Berry is gone, this is my one and only place of choice in the area. I like their low sugar yogurt options and I'm especially fond of their chocolate flavored yogurt. They have a ton of toppings to choose from, so there's something at their toppings bar for everyone, regardless if you're wanting healthy fruits, sweet candies, or crispy cookies. It's just better than Pinkberry. Sorry to burst anyone's bubble. More flavors, cleaner, creamier (not icy at all), more toppings, price by the ounce, outdoor seating, the list goes on. There's this little Mexican guy who works there, and he has to be the HARDEST working person in America. Every single time I go in there, he's there cleaning up after you, cleaning up the machines, getting you napkins, etc... I get better service here than I do at most restaurants. I avoided this place for a while because I thought the name was so lame. And it still is. Luckily, it does not reflect the quality of the product they put out. I would consider myself a frozen yogurt virgin but this was a great way to get thrown into the game. Flavors were excellent, and they have a huge variety. I dont think it's a place I would come if I wanted that guilty-pleasure dessert, just because it feels so much lighter and fresher than say a carton of Ben and Jerrys. But there is a place for everything, and this place has it's niche. I mean, while there we saw some joggers in the middle of a workout come in to get their fix. It's not THAT good for you c'mon! I'm not normally the most health conscious person around but after having a week full of Angry Dog, Fireside Pies, and all kinds of other tasty yet unhealthy treats, I opted to have yogurt for lunch. You can sample as many of their 20 or so flavors as you like. No evil glares or feeling bad for asking since you just get a sample for yourself. I finally opted for the green tea tart flavor (much better than it sounds) and filled my cup up just as full as I wanted it. Headed to the topping bar and was pleased to see a wide array of toppings from fruit to marshmallow cream to heath bar to cereal. How's a girl to choose? Well, I was happy to see they had seasonal fruit, pomegranate, so I put a heaping spoonful on my fro-yo followed by some blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries to give it a well rounded berrylicious appearance. Took it over to the weigh station and $4.16 later I was on my way. My serving was quite large (as I mentioned, I was having it for lunch, ) so I thought the price was reasonable. Yumilicous...so delicious. I discovered this lil' yogurt place before Pinkberry opened up across the street and it was conveniently located a block from my office. Of all the Yumilicous locations in Dallas, this is my favorite. Its well-managed, open late and the staff are friendly. My girlfriend's all-time favorite is the red velvet with strawberries and cheesecake. Mine is always shifting, but chocolate with raspberries, coconut and chocolate chips is fantastic. The staff here is truly amazing! They're the sole reason I've given this place five stars! (Sorry Pinkberry, I still love you.) They have a little cute, old Hispanic man working here who is so adorable. He comes around to everyone to hand them napkins and holds the door open for you and says really sweet things in Spanish to you (which from anyone else, it probably would be super creepy and make you never want to come back but it super works for him!). Am I the only one that is just not wild about this place? I work in uptown, and I wrote a review of PD Johnson's as a place I wanted to like, but couldn't. This is a place I didn't want to like...and I didn't. The frozen yogurt doesn't taste good, for one thing. It's all very, very sour. I have had fro-yo before, and this is not at all how I remember it. The day that we went, several flavors were out, and that was annoying. If only I could give this place more than 5 stars because it is seriously that good! The possibilities are endless, the price is definitely reasonable, and the yogurt is beyond amazing! If a piece of heaven were to fall...this is what it would taste like!!! I first ran into this place when I was visiting family out in Texas. I was lucky enough to be there when they were giving out free samples and I was able to talk to the owners about the froyo...so here's what I found out. They use real yogurt and most of their fruit flavors are organic!! What?! It's good and it's healthy?! And they have 20 different flavors that they will be rotating so whoever missed out on the taro..it'll definitely be there the next time you go. The spaciousness and lounge-type feel of the place is definitely a plus. They even went above and beyond and made it wheel chair friendly...how thoughful was that?! I say the perfect date would end here with a cup of the acai-banana mix, lychee, mango, and coconut yogurt!!!! Forget Pinkberry, Yogurt-land..Red..Orange...Purple mangos.... Yogilicious is GOOD! Yumilicious gets five stars not only because of it's fantastic array of flavors and toppings but the top rate service you get by the staff. They always make sure you have enough napkins and clean any spills up immediently. What makes yumilicious different from it's equally tasty competitors, is that you operate the machine to serve your self. Portion control be damned! (I mean, you'll pay for it on the scale) but load up! Make a parfait or just pile on the blackberries. I FINALLY made it!! I've been dying to try this place for so long, and I finally got to try it out yesterday. Let me just say that I am a huge fan of all things yogurt, ice cream, gelato, whatever... If it's sweet, creamy and cold - sign me up!! I might have been a little intimidated if I hadn't gone with a friend who's a regular, but she showed me the ropes. There were a ton of flavors to choose from and so much fresh fruit and yummy toppings. After trying a couple (free!!) samples I settled on cheesecake yogurt with berries and graham cracker crumbs -- oh my gosh, yum!! I had a pretty healthy amount of yogurt in my cup too, and it cost barely over $3. The decor was really cool too -- really sleek and minimalist and I love that they have outdoor seating. Yumilicious is my favorite frozen self-serve yogurt spot in DFW! There is parking available throughout West Village but I recommend the parking garage at the Cityplace at the Mondrian (entrance next to Knockouts and across McKinney from North Dallas HS). There are many flavors available. Sample cups are a must (located by the toppings bar) before you commit! My favorite flavor is the avocado. Don't knock it 'til you try it using aforementioned sample cup. For me, it was unexpectedly fresh and bright. My favorite topping for froyo is fresh fruit and every time I have been to Yumilicious, the fruit is perfectly ripe and cut perfectly! The toppings bar is very extensive! There is outdoor seating, which is awesome on a nice day. Sometimes sitting outside in the Texas Summer can be too much for both the froyo and the froyo consumer,though. My flavors of choice - pistachio and cheesecake. So far so good. But... have to DING on this, though -- the cost of 45 cents per ounce is the highest price for self serve frozen yogurt I've seen anywhere in the country!! They have a lot of sugar free options, which means don't get the sugar-free chocolate because it's awful. I tried some of my friend's because she said she couldn't finish it and I hate wasting food.
