I did pick up one taro bun however the price is higher than another taro bun I got at another place and they are both good. Parking can be an issue during pick hours. Yummy Bakery has some tasty baos to try. You have both sweet and savory options. I opted for the sweet baos and tried the taro ($1.50/bun) and Cade bun ($1.75/bun.) Came across this place in the afternoon and ordered the pork belly sandwiches, when I took a bite I noticed a bad smell and the meat was so hard I couldn't even take another bite. I called to tell them their meat was probably spoiled and if I can exchange it for something else. They don't do refund or exchange...fyi. Decent food but cashiers don't know how to handle money. I placed my order, paid $20 for my order, got my change and then was missing items when given my order. When I told them they were missing an item, the cashier insisted I only gave them $10 and wouldn't fill my order or give me my money back. I've had all the banh bao here and they are so good, savory n the right snack size. They are kinda pricey, but the perfect thing to bring to gatherings. The banh bo is popular w the kids. The Che options are good and they make it not too sweet n well-balanced ingredients-wise. The people are nice also, which helps. It is a small shop so mind your distance while ordering n waiting for your order, I'd wait outside. My aunts are crazy about this place, they would stop here anytime they come to town. You can't run a successful Banh Mi shop if you take over 30 minutes to make 1 Banh Mi. I can understand if you super busy, not when you have only 3 customer. I was curious as to why it take so long. Location / Located in the small plaza by the liquor store and the Thai food place. Plenty of parking spaces. The place is a pretty large place but there isn't much seating indoor and outdoor. Looks more like a place you'll grab food and drinks and leave. Food and Drinks / We ordered the sugarcane drink with coconut meat, sugarcane mixed with pennywort, pork steak bun, and one of their dessert drinks that I can't remember. The sugarcane drinks were fairly reasonably priced at $6 for large and it also had the ice nuggets! Drinks were overall okay, but too sweet to my liking (I know it's weird to say because their SUGARcane). The only thing that threw me off is that the taste didn't taste authentic to me - I feel like they might have added their own sweetener to it. I've had previous sugarcane drinks from other places and they were really refreshing and clean, but this tasted like they added more sugar and it wasn't well filtered cause I could feel the grainy pulp of the sugarcane and pennywort. The bun was really tasty but surprisingly quite small lol. Service / It was quick and the cashier was helpful with our ordering Overall, it's a great place for a new business to start.
