We loved Yummy House -- when you could eat there. Since COVID, it's take-out only, so we have not been back and may not go back. No slight intended... we just preferred to eat there where we could order fresh sushi and look over the menu, and hang out with friends there.

Carry out only?? Or at least say it is carry out only on the website. Plexiglass walls still up like a bank vault. Covid ended awhile ago.

Really good sushi!! Highly recommend. Good service and reasonably priced. Crab rangoons were delicious too

Very covid-safe friendly -- order in phone. One person at a time. Pager given to bring to car until your meal is ready. We got a dish with pork, seafood and meat. It was tasty. We also got some sushi. The rainbow roll was delicious. While it's not the best sushi, it was good for a local place. And I'll go back again for takeout.

My friend and I ended up here accidentally, but decided to give it a chance because of the name. I'm crazy about Hunan Beef, so I wanted to see what they had to offer. The Hunan Beef portion from the lunch combo was small and just so-so. I've had better elsewhere. It had hot and lukewarm spots which I found odd. My first thought was "Microwaved but not stirred?" Had I stopped here, they would've gotten 3 stars (with one star due to the kindness of the staff). Then my friend had me try some shrimp tempura and a roll from her bento box. The shrimp tasted fresh, but the tempura batter was strange to me. It seemed more like finely crushed bread crumbs than tempura. I also tried an imitation crab and avocado sushi roll. Big mistake. It tasted fermented and a falling star later we're at 2. Now I'm looking at the egg roll and thinking it's a bit over fried, but still a standard egg roll, so I dig in. Looking back, maybe those were microwave burns? This was actually the worst egg roll I've ever had in my life, no joke. It had an overpowering earthy flavor. I pretty much never get heartburn but I did today. And that's how we got to 1 star. I'm sad to say this, but my nickname for this place is Not-So-Yummy-House.

Great sushi. Decent prices. Love the express dine in (call ahead of time and when you arrive, you can eat it at the table!)

Ordered carry out once and it was good. Sushi was tasty. Tried a salad with crab - it was good but very small portion. Would return.

Good food, fast. Looks like mostly take-out, as only 5 tables in the place, plus sushi counter seating.

Nice veg rolls along with the routine menu...the fried rice (chicken) is also tasty! Small but pleasant place! Great service!

Great Sushi but on the more expensive side. They have chinese as well for your kids that don't want sushi.

The menu is strong but limited, which I kind of like- limits decision fatigue, especially after a long day. I ordered the nigiri combo, for the cause. Nigiri is something I've only really gotten into this year, so I'm not an expert, but I know what I like and what I don't. Soft, sticky rice that feels fresh and adhesive but not clumpy, fresh smelling and looking fish. The California roll was a California roll. The nigiri was great however. The shrimp in particular was light and almost creamy tasting? I know that sounds odd but I mean it in a good way. The rest of the fish was good. I even tried eel (this is big for me) for the cause! It was rich and fatty, but not in an unpleasant way as I feared. It was pleasantly sauced, so I was able to try it sans soy sauce and was pleased! I *really* liked the soy sauce here, although they don't give you very much. They also are a bit stingy with the ginger. This was my first time trying tamago, which is a delicately sweetened egg roll stuffed with rice. If you're not used to it, you have to get over the look and just go for it! It's yummy! The restroom was clean but smelled faintly of cigarettes. To be honest... I didn't mind that. It kind of fit with the vibe and gave the restaurant a "real" "edgy" feel, although some people may not appreciate it. The interior is kind of messy and unkempt, but if you keep your eyes on the prize- the food- you'll leave happy!

I turned myself around and located the restaurant in a small strip mall, along with other small, mom-and-pop businesses. Past lunch, guests were finishing up. I had already checked the menu the day prior, so I knew what I wanted. Unfortunately, the online menu is outdated; some items I had my eye on were no longer available. I had the calamari tempura instead of the spicy tuna salad, and had also ordered the Red Dragon (instead of the Saba Dong Roll) and Scorpion Rolls. A few other sashimi pieces rounded out the meal. The calamari tempura included thick calamari and thinly sliced vegetables in a thin coating. The Scorpion Roll was flavorful with texturally interesting, crunchy from the soft shell crab and creamy from the avocado. The eel sauce was delicious. By contrast, the Red Dragon Roll was rather bland. The saba sashimi was incredible, the tamago was more savory than sweet, but the yellowtail was also bland and unenjoyable. Service was fine. Also to note: The restaurant displayed a wondrous Lego collection. Not just any Lego, but the more challenging (and expensive) sets: Eiffel Tower, Titanic, Millennium Falcon, Destroyer, and the modular building, Grand Emporium. (Yes, I know my Lego)

Ambiance has always stayed the same: cute, cozy, and so comfortable. Now that the booths were removed and they only have regular table seating, service is a bit different (you order at the front or at the kiosk instead of someone taking your order), but I actually love how it all works! From an operational standpoint, I feel like it actually makes things go smoother and faster. Additionally, I don't know if it's just because I haven't had their sushi in a bit, but I felt like their portion sizes actually increased slightly (which is always amazing)!! Love love LOVEEE their sushi and hearty miso soup so much. Great selection of drinks from the fridge inside, and so many vegetables, fish, snacks, and essentials (e.g., hair care, toothpaste).

The premade food choices are growing by the day. They are always adding to their offerings with new flavors and tastes. I started coming to One world market in 1997 when it was first home by a husband and wife team. It was very special at that time to have a Japanese focused grocery store and I was so happy to have one in the Novi area. This has been my go-to for decades now. When it was transitioning from private ownership to the Noble Village group, owned by True World group, there was a transitional decline, thankfully, that didn't last long and things are developing very nicely. I hear even more growth is on the horizon as they establish an even greater presence in the building next door. I am also thankful that the integrity and the high-quality is very much present and everything they do. The service is always top notch and they try to open up a lot of lanes so people get through quickly because it is busier than ever. The word is definitely out. I've seen a lot of posts on social media and it's bringing in an even greater crowds, which is fantastic! Note: the on-line ordering is also so convenient and their sushi platters are high-level!
