My family chose Yummy House about a week ago for dinner. We were very pleased. Chinese food is usually very hit or miss for me and this time it was a hit. The orange chicken was delicious, it tasted like they prepared it with a fresh squeeze of an orange and it wasn't over breaded like some places. We also had the almond chicken which was a little thick but still good. They didn't have the best gravy I've ever tasted but again, still good. Crab ragoons were AWESOME! shrimp egg rolls were also really good. And my favorite part: the shrimp fried rice was full of shrimp, not just one or two pieces thrown throughout. I didn't give them 5 stars because the wait was 45 mins and also because they are a tad expensive. We paid about $70. However, they did give a good amount of food and it was good. We ordered a Dragon roll (shrimp tempura, eel, cucumber, avacado, eel sauce) Very delicious, although the roll was not as tight as other sushi places we have eaten. Not complaining though because, while a little difficult to manuver with chopsticks, was one of the best we have ever had. I had the Mongolian beef (mild spice)....the beef was tender and delicious and came with an abundance of perfectly slivered onion and green pepper. My only disappointment was that the meal came with a side of white rice and nothing else...no egg roll, no soup. And for 10.50, it was a little disappointing considering there was so much veg to meat ratio. My husband ate the Dragon Phoenix which is a combination of Spicy Shrimp and General Tso's chicken..cleverly separated on the plate by a little fence made from halved cucumber slices. Will never come back! The smell of burnt greece when you walk in describes what you will be getting. Tried the sweet and sour chicken dinner and was charged ala cart for the egg roll! The chicken was tough, dry, breaded and fried. A small bowl of rice and plain red sauce. That was their dinner combination plate! No soup or egg roll. Had to pay ala cart for both. Was yelled at by the waitress when I asked who said all their plates are like that. Never been to a Chinese place where an egg roll was not included in the dinner plate. $17 for a dry, tasteless breaded chicken bits, rice and pop. If I could leave 0 stars I would! The girl that works the front (register/phones) is extremely rude. She hung up on me when I asked to speak with a manager. I had called to let the manager know we were turned away on Christmas Day for dinner and how disappointed I was by this. You'd think they'd have enough staff on hand for such a busy day. I had high hopes for this place. The menus and pictures online looked phenomenal and it was close by. Upon arrival I was greeted coldly and told to sit anywhere. It took longer than normal for a server to take our food order, but when she did it was short and felt disrespectful. After ordering, I waited over an hour for 2 entrees. (One chicken one beef). After receiving the first meal after over an hour, I waited another 15 minutes for the second meal!! This place was not only subpar in food quality and customer service, I found a piece of glass in the chicken entree which almost broke my tooth!! I will NEVER be returning to this horrible restaurant ever again. I hope this place improves because here could be a great deal of improvement read more

We have only gotten carry out from here when we have been in a bind for some food. It has Chinese and sushi so the options are very good and honestly the food is pretty good too. Their sushi is decent, not my favorite, but it is definitely fresh and not fishy tasting. We have only gotten chicken dishes on the Chinese side and their chicken is great quality and size. They definitely load it up and we have never been able to finish our meals, besides the sushi because their rolls are a bit on the smaller side. I give three stars because we haven't dined in and probably never will because it's not some amazing find, but also because when I've ordered over the phone they never ask for a name or number. When you walk in they speak very little English so it's more of an annoyance to get the correct order since you end up repeating yourself a few times if you're not foreign/used to communicating with foreigns. read more

Tried this place out today, tempted by a 15% off coupon. The location and interior are nothing special, it's a small restaurant accommodating maybe 25 max. I had the hot and spicy chicken lunch, partner had the sweet and sour chicken. Both meals were handsome portions, and both delicious. Yummy House has some hits but also a lot of misses. While they have some tasty appetizers like the crab rangoon, their entrees are not great. The chicken usually tastes a little old, the rice is flat. They really have not got the hang of egg rolls yet. They are consistently too large, soggy, and not fully crispy. As an egg roll lover this is disappointing. Also, service is almost always slow. When I get a pickup I usually have to add 15 minutes to however much time they tell me because service is always sluggish. Their sushi is pretty good. Really enjoy the shrimp and avocado roll. They have the best crab rangoons! Definitely recommend. They are they type that are on the sweet side, which I really enjoy. Not a huge fan of their chicken dishes. I don't eat red meat, so I can't comment on any of the beef items. Would recommend for sushi! read more

The "Orange Chicken" was in some kind of brown gravy, with a couple of pieces of orange zest, and the fried rice, besides lacking any kind of flavor, had a few slices of onion, and that was it. Their name should be changed to 'Yucky House'. The worst sushi I've ever had, and I've had a lot! I ordered a spicy tuna roll, and instead of a fresh whole piece of fish, it was chopped up in small pieces which gave it a very mushy texture. The flavor wasn't great either. The rest of my group ordered Chinese dishes which were equally as bad. The hot and sour soup was bland and watery, the crispy beef was way too garlicky to eat, and the sweet and sour chicken was very greasy and overly fried. I usually don't put bad reviews but there is no other way to explain my experience. Let me start, the staff started off nice they brought us water right when we got there. Then before we ordered, the waitress brought us soup and salad, we never ordered it but it was brought out. Anyways, I ordered the seafood delight for my dinner and a roll of sushi, the sushi roll was okay nothing fancy, rice was not that good. The seafood delight was plain and not good at all. I love seafood and this was by far the worst I've had, I felt like it was cooked in slime juice, just not good at all. I literally wanted to puke. Going back to the soup and salad, we got the bill, they charged us for the soup and salad that we never ordered in the first place, we told the waitress about it, she apologized but didn't take it off our bill and didn't do anything else. We felt bad to press the issue because we ate it but very unprofessional to do that. I wonder if they've done that to some else?!! You don't put food on someone's table that was never ordered and you charge them for it. Since it was their mistake then simply correct it. Honestly it wasn't about the extra $5 dollars they charged us but the way the handled the situation was very unprofessional.
