Side salad (shredded cabbage that you can use to make okonomiyaki at home lol)

    - best spicy chicken teriyaki in town - We came here at 1 pm on a Saturday and it was quite empty. There were also two other groups dining here. We ordered beef yakisoba for $16.99 and spicy chicken teriyaki (2 stars) for $17.99 to go. They charge 10 cents for the to go plastic bag. It was ready in about 5 minutes. My husband wanted some Sriracha sauce, so I asked them if they had any. The employee told me they have it on the table, so we opened the takeout boxes and put some on his food. I guess they don't have any in small packets. The beef yakisoba was good with tons of veggies like cucumber, mushroom, and onion. My 2 stars spicy chicken teriyaki was fine but not as good as I remember it to be. It's still very good that the sauce and the teriyaki blends perfectly unlike most other places that the sauce and the teriyaki are like, separated. Basically if you drink these spicy chicken teriyaki, they'd still be spicy. If you rinse them from other places, they won't be spicy anymore. I hope that explains it better lol. Overall this place is great, and I hope it's closer to me. They have daily specials as well for a lower price, and the special today is the sweet and sour chicken.

Great sized portions. Fast service. Tasty teriyaki, not overly sweet. Great tempura mix.

Stopped in for dinner with a friend in March. He had chicken teriyaki, I got a beef teriyaki bento box. Good food.

    Spicy Chicken Teriyaki

Th restaurant is a smaller one but don't let it deceive you. The spicy chicken teriyaki has got to be my favorite. Spicy level 3 is perfect amount to give a little heat. The service was quick and professional. Would highly recommend for a good bite to eat for take out. Photo attached is my half eaten spicy chicken teriyaki because I couldn't wait to eat it

    Chicken katsu - amazing crunch

Best teriyaki in Puget Sound. The owners/chefs are meticulous about quality ingredients and consistent preparation. My food was in front of me literally two minutes after sitting down from getting drinks. I cannot overstate how perfectly executed their food is, the sauces alone, much less the preparation of the chicken and cabbage. TRY THIS SPOT. NUF SAID. plus they have a really good ice machine on the water cooler!

Chicken teriyaki was good and the portion pretty decent. It was ready in less than a minute for me. Enjoyed my dinner at the restaurant.

4.5, I've been to this place twice now and each time it's been pretty good. The first time I came here I didn't enjoy it as much but I decided to come for lunch yesterday and it was super good. It was super busy around noon, and the place was packed. They have a decent amount of seats, but every seat was filled. It's a small family run place, always the same workers trying their hardest. We ordered for takeout, and noticed our order was taken incorrectly. After informing them they corrected/added onto our order for free, which I really appreciated. Even with the business they had our food out hot and fresh super quickly, and it was all delicious. The katsu was just okay a little fatty, but the chicken was super flavorful and delicious. The rice was really good as well, but the portions for the prices and quality was exceptional. Overall I definitely recommend this place for some delicious teriyaki!!!!

Ask the Community - Yummy Teriyaki

What's the name of the salad dressings these joints use? Does anyone know what is in them? I used to go to these places all the time as a kid, but now I live out of state and can't get any good teriyaki or teriyaki joint salad.

The base teriyaki joint salad dressing is usually 1 part sugar, 2 parts rice wine vinegar, 2 parts mayonnaise. Many teriyaki restaurants will add black poppy seeds to improve the eye appeal.

Bon is located in the same plaza as H-Mart and so they have a shared parking lot or you could walk over from Redmond Town Center which is just a block away. The inside is surprisingly large with at least twenty tables, which is bigger than most Korean restaurants that I've seen on the Eastside. At 11:45am on a Saturday, my group of three had no problem getting a table. Their menu is extensive and has all the Korean food classics including seafood pancake, soondubu (stone pot tofu soup), galbi jjim (beef stew), Toppokki, bibimbap, and cold noodles (spicy and non-spicy versions). Their entrees are around $20 each, but some larger hot pot dishes (meant for 2-3 people) can be up to $70. I ordered the BULGOGI BIBIMBAP (~$24). Unfortunately they don't serve stone pot Bibimbap here, but the portions are large and beautifully presented. My dish came with plenty of fresh vegetables- pickled carrots and cucumbers, sesame bean sprouts, daikon kimchi, lettuce, and marinated black mushrooms (which I've never had in Bibimbap before but was soooo good) on top a bed of fluffy white rice! The egg was cooked perfectly over easy and the meat was marinated well too- I do wish the dish came with more meat though. They give you your typical sweet and spicy gochujang red sauce on the side as well as white vinegar and mustard sauce for added flavor. Service was fantastic and you get complimentary hot tea and ban chan (which are refillable). The ban chan included cucumber kimchi, daikon kimchi, sesame bean sprouts, kimchi, fish cake, and sesame choy. All employees were very friendly and made you feel at home. The inside is clean, but the only reason I'm giving them 4 stars is that they have an Okay health rating and not a Good or Excellent health rating. I didn't look up the exact violations, but it would be great to see an improvement in score. Overall: 4/5 for food, 5/5 for service, 3/5 for atmosphere

Although we didn't order any dishes that made use of the advanced tabletop, I still think it's so cool! Despite the tables also having a digital kiosk, I appreciated how they still handed us actual menus and manually took our order, both of which are becoming less common these days. Our group started with some hot tea and ordered three dishes which was the perfect amount to share. We loved each item and I enjoyed tasting the various banchan side dishes (included with most main menu items): broccoli, traditional kimchi, omelet, potato, salad and kimchi cucumbers. I can be picky about kimchi, but this one had an ideal balance between tartness, spice, slight sweetness and umami. Their kimchi cucumbers were also a hit as they were refreshing with a tantalizing heat. + SEAFOOD PANCAKE ($25): My first time having a seafood pancake and it won't be my last! It was hot right off the pan with a crispy golden exterior. The seafood included baby shrimp, baby octopus and calamari. It seemed like the portion of seafood was reasonable since I had some in almost every bite, however I don't recall seeing much shrimp... mostly calamari and octopus. They added a lot of green onion, which I personally liked as it gave the pancake an element of freshness. This came with a side of soy dipping sauce, but I enjoyed it as is. The portion size was generous for the three of us. + KIMCHI BEEF TOFU SOUP ($22): This soup was basically a comforting hug in a stone pot. It arrived at our table, still bubbling, with a small bowl of rice. While there wasn't a ton of beef in the soup, the pieces were lean and tender and there was enough to split between the three of us. I loved the smooth silky tofu, and the kimchi gave the soup a little tang. Adding a scoop of rice into my personal bowl and pouring the soup on top made for perfect bites as the grains absorbed the broth. We requested a medium spice level which was just right for me. + HOT POT BI-BIM-BAP w/ CHICKEN ($25): You can't go wrong with this dish! Carrots, radish, zucchini, bean sprouts, spinach and a raw egg topped the bed of rice along with our protein choice of chicken. We stirred in the egg immediately and I enjoyed all the fresh vegetables in the bowl. The chicken was delicious as well and seemed to have a slightly sweet marinade. The best part is the little bites of rice that crisped up against the side of the bowl, adding some toasty notes and texture. We forgot to drizzle on some of the red chili sauce provided with the dish, so I'll need to do that next time! The three of us had a terrific dinner here and the service is so kind. We were checked on three times, which surpassed my expectations. We came for an early dinner on Sunday, so it was relatively quiet, even shortly after 6:00P. Even if the restaurant was full, the tables are spaced comfortably apart and I noticed they even had a separate section that is walled off for a larger group. Parking is also easy, running right alongside the neighboring walking trail. Needless to say, I'll be back!

Our family took advantage of the chicken's ability to maintain their crispiness, even for carry-out. It was OK, though a little confusing. Once we settled on KFC for dinner, our hosts (daughter and son-in-law) suggested carryout from 'The Third Place', which was a little out of the way from where we were. It is the Third restaurant opened by the owner, all Seattle area locations known for her KFC (Shin Sung Korean restaurant with Underground Kitchen and the since closed Yeon's Chicken). The chicken was ordered beforehand, and because it is prepared fresh when ordered, it took a bit of time for the order to be complete. There is a limited amount of sauce choices, so we chose Honey Garlic ($23.99) and the classic Yangnyum ($23.99), both marked as Whole Chicken size. Also a side order of french fries ($7.99) completed the order. The fries were good: nice and hot, heavily battered potatoes, providing a nice amount of carbs to go with the fried chicken. The chicken came with pickled radish (chicken-mu) which for me is a must, and it was good. In terms of the chicken, they were all wings, which isn't what I expected: getting the breast and thigh pieces chopped into bite-size pieces, battered and sauced, is what makes it KFC, vs all wings which is more like a Buffalo wing restaurant. So we still got the expected 14 pieces, but they were all wings (flats and drums). I thought the sauces were fine (intentionally ordered mild), and the chicken did maintain a crunch (though not as shattering as the best we've had).

You also cannot dine as a party of 1 here - minimum two people! I've been to Seoul meat 3 times now - once with just the missus and I (a mistake, too few people), and the other two times with one other person (three total - good amount, could use more). The most recent time was a rainy Thursday evening, when I hadn't eaten all day, and was famished. For $51/person (for the cheaper option), it's pretty good, but the ribeye steak option is meh since the marinated rib fingers are goated. It's AYCE, except for ribeye which is one order per person. Two hours max (we barely lasted 75 minutes), but unless its a weekend or they're super slow, you should be in and out pretty fast. Service is very quick, prompt, and polite. They changed our grill three times in our most recent visit. It wasn't busy when we arrived and they sat us immediately. The wait staff will check in with you periodically - sometimes it'll feel overbearing but I prefer that to the opposite end of the spectrum where they literally have to be flagged down every time (which sometimes happened in our first two visits because it was more busy). Ambiance is a kpop track - I think there's also music videos? I dunno, I'm not paying attention to that aspect - you come here for the AYCE food. Try the octopus, marinated beef brisket, marinated rib finger, short ribs, and steamed egg. You won't regret it. Also: parking is in the general totem lake plaza. There's a bunch more parking in the green lot but you can always park slightly farther away in the blue lot, or outdoors.
