The food is great but service is not. I called my order in and showed up 20 minutes after only to wait another 10 minutes for them to get to me and to find out they did not have my order. Only had 2 people working the front with a restaurant full of people during the lunch rush. i literally saw food delivery guys cancel and leave because of the wait time. I went for lunch ordered rice item red curry fried rice. They served with partly cooked rice. When I tasted, it it's like eating soaked rice. They said there is new cook who doesn't know how to cook rice. Later they replaced with "well cooked" for me, no much difference. My fist time getting their food, I was impressed, service was not very good but like the food. Now my 4th time, I ordered pick up same thing I usually get; took a couple bites and bit on a piece of SHAVED METAL! I kid you not, it was not foil. Since the pick up was done during my lunch I could not go back to them, so I called. The response was disappointing; I received no customer service "I'm sorry". At first the guy thought I said I found tomatoes in the food, then proceeded with a smart, "that's normal"; when I corrected him, all he said was "well if you bring it back, I'll make it again". There is no trust that when it's made again that the same thing won't happened, especially if there was no empathy conveyed in the beginning. Yes, I should have been prepared for the lack of service but expected better reaction to having a piece of metal in their food. Absolutely terrible. Went here two times. The first time wasnt that bad but it wasnt anything to rave about either so I thought why not give it another chance? Mistake was learned.. To begin, the appetizers they have for chicken wings were undercooked (photo provided of the pink meat). The pork belly appetizer was barely edible and you had to chew for 5 mins to actually swallow it. Next we have what they have as pad thai. Ladies and gentleman this is the worst pad thai I have ever eaten and it is a disgrace to call it that! Absolutely flavorless, took two bites and asked to return it and one of the staff tried to make a big scene about it in the kitchen but never said anything to me. But the absolute worst thing was they had mixed one of our orders that I had for my kid and asked to take it back which I obliged and then the waitress decided to clean the plate and STILL SERVE the food which she saw me take with my hands to feed my child and serve it to another customer which had ordered it! They were really crispy and delicious! There's plenty of choices to choose from. The food was delicious overall. Service was okay despite the busy restaurant. Staff seemed rushed about everything. The interior has lots of Asian/Thai themed decor which looked nice. I thought the table cloth at my table was pretty. Overall, nice place to eat during lunch time. Delicious and very quick prep for food! I called in an order for four meals, three noodle dishes and one fried rice, and fully expected it to take at least half an hour if not more at 6pm. Instead, they let me know to come 10-15 minutes later! We picked up our food exactly at the 15 minute mark and I was definitely impressed. They are putting out a ton of to-go orders, but there were still some socially-distanced and full tables in the restaurant. My friends ordered a spicy level 1 on their dishes, but their food was a little past their spice tolerance which was surprising! Even my husband, who can handle a little heat, was struggling with his "mild" spice pad see ew. Other than that, they said their food was very good. My pad kee mao with fried tofu at spicy level three was perfect and still allowed me to add some of the house chili oil, so I was happy and loved the flavor. Two weeks ago I ordered a soup and lunch entree to go. When I opened a bag I found a baby roach inside of my soup's lid. I called and spoke to a manager. I have been told that I get a refund. It was a generous portion for the price and could serve a meal for two normal appetites or one glutton (like myself). I definitely felt full enough to skip dinner later that day. The flavors are done well and done right. It may not have been the best that I've had but I appreciate that they did not skimp on the pork shoulder. Worst service I've ever received, I want the owners name and the managers name as well. Poor service I waited for my tab while the employees both sat down to talk and eat ice cream. Our friend found "Yummy kitchen" located near where we stayed in Dallas "Hampton Inn Hotel". Don't let the name fools you because they really have good solid Thai Isaan food here. It was so delicious. We ordered Som Tum Poo Plara and heavenly beef jerky, larb, sticky rice and a bunch more. We were clearly in heaven with the first bite. I took two stars out due to these reasons, one star the place could be a little cleaner (when I touched the high chairs for kids, it was obviously so sticky, it was just my first impression). The Somtum is a bit too sweet but still in the acceptable good taste range. Another star was out due to transparency in business dealing, I just noticed two days after that the amount charged was not the same price as they presented during the checkout. They included service charges 18% and 3.5% credit card usage. I was not aware of the gratuity so I included tips additional 18%. Sure they are worthy of the tip but I would appreciate very much at least I should be informed about the gratuity (when I was presented the bill the gratuity was not included, then). That's right people, please watch your bill carefully. Other than that it was a good place to dine. Again don't let google fools you coz it said "south east" thai food. I almost turned down this place as I was looking for North Eastern Thai food in Dallas. Thanks to my traveler pal, she was determined to come because it was not far from where we stayed. Saw this place when coming from the dentist office and made a mental note to come back. The sauce they paired with the pot sticker is BOMB! Ordering was pretty quick. I got the drunken noodles with chicken and beef spice level 4 and fiance got the pad Thai with chicken and beef spice level 4. We're Nigerian so we love everything EXTRA spicy. So if you don't like spicy but want a little kick I would go for a 2 to be on the safe side. The order come with a good amount of food for the price. The service was very welcoming and prompt! I'm convinced that Thai food leftovers taste way better guess it gets better when the food marinates lol. I didn't get any pictures of our food. Typically I'm all about Larb or some curried whole fish but with new places I start with something simple. A good Thai restaurant that offers good variety and decent ambience. The food is flavorful and the service is good. The portion size is generous but the amount of rice is disproportionately small as compared to the amount of curry they serve. They can also tighten-up their service a bit. We - a party of 4 - walked in at 1:45 PM on a Sunday afternoon and most of the tables were either occupied or were not cleaned and ready. We were asked to wait and they could get a table ready and we were provided one but it was still fully clean and we had to request for another table and they cleaned another booth and was made available to us. The issue is not that we had to wait but the fact that there were tables yet to be cleaned when others were still finishing or starting their meal. read more
