Found this little hole in the wall when my cousins and I were craving some sushi and hibachi. It's a small restaurant but they have lots of options of their menu from ramen, to sushi, and hibachi. Our server was so sweet and kind. She made sure we had everything we needed. She even offered dessert which was the Chinese donuts, on the house. They were delicious and the perfect sweet treat to our meal. My cousins got sushi which tasted amazing. I love how fresh the rolls were. I got the chicken hibachi, it was delicious. Their food is consistently excellent every time we visit. The service is top-notch, and since it's a family-owned business, there's a warm, personal touch. Everyone is incredibly friendly. It's not the typical quick, in-and-out spot you might expect in a Publix plaza--it's actually a nice sit-down restaurant. We ate here last night and it was really great. Let me start with the owner, Karena, who is funny and social and very welcoming. She and her son, Cowen, waited on us and they are lovely people who made us feel right at home with their wit and jokes. The restaurant is very clean and casual with about 6-8 tables. They have a sushi chef. Now the food...we started with tom yum soup that was one of the best I've ever had. A perfect balance of heat and lemon. There were plenty of shrimp and they were cooked perfectly. My husband had an order of the pork gyoza and the dough was super thin and fried to a perfect crisp. The filling was good. He also had the teriyaki seafood combo which came with a very large portion of egg fried rice and vegetables. The house made yummy sauce has a hint of heat and pineapple and went nicely on the fried rice. Meals come with salad and miso soup but because we both ordered the tom yum, she gave me a salad too. The ginger salad dressing was delicious. We had 2 orders of sushi rolls that were excellent. The double spicy roll that had spicy salmon inside and spicy tuna outside with crunch and a great sauce. And the "screaming orgasm" roll, which is named properly because it's THAT GOOD! It's a cooked roll without rice that has shrimp tempura wrapped in salmon and topped with spicy crab with another incredible sauce. No words to describe how delicious it was. Our entire meal was perfection from beginning to end. And even though we were so full, she sent over a complimentary order of hot fried donuts that are crispy outside, covered in sugar and light and fluffy inside. Delightful! Went here for dinner with wife, 2 littles and 2 grandparents. The service is very friendly and personable. This is a family run place with the husband, wife and son. We interacted with each throughout the meal and they are so friendly and welcoming! We order pork buns, avocado salad, chicken soba, and teriyaki chicken. The food was excellent. I ordered crab rangoon, clear soup, ginger salad, fried crab, and an Asian muffin roll. Everything was AMAZING! Ginger salad dressing came on the side so you could choose how it's dressed. Crab Rangoon had homemade duck sauce & fried crab had sip-able ponzu. My roll was so crunchy and sweet and tangy! This is a relatively new Japanese restaurant/take out spot that has replace several Chinese take out restaurants at this location. Definitely more take out than restaurant but they have added some tables and it is usually full. They have a very extensive menu including sushi, sashimi, hibachi bowls, teriyaki, a variety of noodle and rice dishes, tempura and more. My expectations were low and I was especially wary of getting sushi there. I was pleasantly surprised. I have been there three times - have tried the sushi, dumplings, clear soup, hibachi bowl and crab Rangoon. All weee excellent. Sushi was very fresh and beautifully prepared. This is a family business and many of the family members are working there - all with smiles on their faces and eager to please. They obviously know how to prepare Japanese food.
