We made reservation a head of time because we have a big party. I got a call from Yummys verifying our reservations the day before to make sure we have 25 people & I asked her if that was ok and if they will have enough staff. She assured me there was going to be a server for each table and they will have plenty of food & quick service. She also includes that 7:30pm reservation is good because they close at 8 and more help can assist with our big party! Also I asked before hand their prices and they said $25/buffet! Well they failed to mention that everyone on the table has to get the same buffet either dinner A $25/pp or dinner B $35/pp. one or the other you can't split or have option for some to choose A or B! So those who wanted dinner A had to get dinner B! So confusing & very expensive! We get there and they only had one server & not enough chairs so 5 of our party had to split up because the room they put us in only seated 20. I wish we knew that ahead of time! I had to get up multiple times and check up on our other guests that was separated from us. Half of our group got our drinks and the other half didn't get drinks until close to being done. When we asked for drink refills some of us didn't get refills. Then they tell us they "RAN OUT OF RICE" We had meat cooking on 4 stoves and bowls of meat waiting to be cooked and the waitress tells us this. Prior to this we only got 2 bowls of rice that was only filled half way it wasn't even full & some of us didn't get rice! We have to eat our meat with rice!! My daughter was standing near the cashier and overhead that they will not make a new pot of rice since it was past closing time! We asked the waitress since they ran out of rice can we take the meat home she already brought out after we cooked it home and we can make our own rice and eat it with our own rice and she clearly said "yes that fine!" she handed us to go plates and we started to go and she tries to stop us after she said we could! Then she remembered she gave us the Ok! Then!!!!! I get a bill for $599.xx with a $91.xx Gratuity!!!!!!! We did NOT get good service worth $91!!!!!!!!!! That still upsets me still the service was horrible!!! - did not get refills - half our group didn't get drinks until the end - ran out of rice after only giving us 2 bowls and after they tell us they ran out they seated a couple across from our separated party and gave them a full bowl of rice - waited forever for food - we had to ask multiple times for napkins and straw - we were separated from our party because the room they put us in ONLY sat 20 and reservation was for 25! I communicated day before when they called me to confirm and the lady I spoke with assured me we will be fine! With the 20 in that room is still very small and stuffy! - very Smokey, I wish they had vents like ombu or umami to help with the smoke when cooking - sushi is horrible! Was not tasty Do not go to this place if you have a big party they will give you horrible service and then slap you with an expensive gratuity!!!! And they are VERY OVER PRICED!!!!!! Go to Umami!! It's way cheaper for better quality food & way better and it's buffet style (you go and choose your own meats & sides) you don't have to wait for food and they never run out of rice!! I wanted to come here for my birthday with our kids. All I wanted was Korean bbq, we made reservations, got there 5 minutes early, didn't get acknowledged for over 5 minutes, waited for another 20 minutes, took 25 minutes to drive there and finally just decided to leave. Now we are headed to SLC for Korean instead because the waitress was running around trying to help everyone, several customers that were already seated were standing around waiting to ask her for something and she was trying to pack a DoorDash order too. Decent Korean BBQ, not worth the hype....or wait.... To preface my review, I'm born and raised in California, and grew up close with a Korean family so needless to say I have had some of the best K-BBQ there is. The meat isn't terrible, but it's not the greatest. The selection is decent, but they are often times out of some of the items, so it really limits your selection. The meat at times has been bland, so not the greatest quality either. The sides are fresh and good, but you don't go to KBBQ for sides. Don't expect to be served like you would expect if you have been to KBBQ establishments in California, or Las Vegas for that matter, because you will be in for the wait. Our first time was great, but since then we had to wait a VERY LONG time just to get served our drinks. I've been here on multiple occasions and things have gotten gradually worse every time. We came back expecting things to change, but it never did. Every time I have been here with my family we've waited longer and longer, until today which was the last straw. A couple came in 10 minutes after us, were seated and served drinks while we continued to wait. We got up, left and aren't turning back. We took our hunger over to Ombu just up the street, which was fantastic! Better quality food, and half the price. Sorry Yummy, gave you a shot but you let us down. Coming from Koreatown in Los Angeles, CA, they tasted NOTHING like the Korean food back at home. The only thing that was okay was the sushi( America and dragon) but still nothing compared to back at home. The service was okay in the beginning but you start noticing many empty tables with stacked dishes. This could be the best Korean BBQ place I've been to outside of Korea. Absolutely loved it! I served an LDS mission in South Korea in my two years there I went to my fair share of K-BBQ places. And by fair share, I mean A LOT. Coming to Yummy's took me right back. From the grills at the tables, to the drawers with silverware underneath, to the soft K-pop playing in the background, this place is the real deal. I think if I closed my eyes and took a bite of the Kimchi and someone told me I was sitting in a restaurant in downtown Busan, I would have believed them. The waiters are really kind and easy to talk to, so they can explain the restaurant to you more thoroughly but here's basically how it works. There are two ways to order here - either individual entrees (meats, soups, rice bowls, sushi, etc.) or a buffet. The buffet includes all you can eat meat, side dishes, and sushi. They have grills at your table where you cook up the meat yourself or you can ask them to cook it in the back and bring it out. Our table got the "Dinner A" buffet (the more basic buffet option). It's pricey at about $25 a person but you definitely get what you pay for! There are probably 5-10 meats to choose from. Yummy's has a great selection of high quality meats, awesome side dishes, and surprisingly great sushi (not a traditional Korean dish but really good here too). Our favorites were the spicy pork bulgogi, garlic chicken, and God Bless America sushi roll. And the kimchi - the real test of a Korean restaurant - was spot on delicious. Our server was a little bit slow - he seemed kind of busy, but I can say he was really helpful and answered all our questions. My wife and I were visiting from SoCal where we eat a lot of Korean BBQ. Yummy's is by far the best Korean BBQ place in Utah and was better than anything I've had in California which is saying a lot. This was my first time trying Korean BBQ at Yummy's and the food was...yummy! If you are in a hurry to eat, this is definitely not the restaurant for you. The service was a little slow, but it was the perfect place to enjoy a nice conversation while cooking your food at your table. The spicy beef bulgogi was definitely my favorite, but the pineapple was a close second and the teriyaki was delicious too. I had the all you can eat for both lunch and dinner and for me lunch was 5 stars and dinner was 3 stars. Lunch The selection of meats is pretty generous for the price and if you go in off hours, like during the week, the servers are very attentive. I paid for the sushi add on and I think though the sushi wasn't the best I ever had it was pretty good and only $4 to add all you can eat so that was worth it. Dinner We went on a crowded night and the service was really, really slow. Like we'd ask for raw meat and it would take 15 minutes to get it kind of slow. We ordered some stuff that never even came after 20 minutes so we took off. The up sell for the dinner was not worth it for the most part. The spicy pork belly was tasty. No complaints there. The kalbi ribs (biggest item on the upsell IMO) were the only ones I've ever had that I didn't like much- lots of fat on the meat. The Las Vegas sushi roll was really good and the best thing I had at this meal hands down. The nigiri sushi was maybe the worst nigiri (tuna) I've ever had. It was chewy and just nothing about it was good. The dessert that it was included with the upsell was like milky icy otter pops and I think I'd rather have no dessert included than that. So yeah overall I would definitely recommend the lunch all you can eat. The dinner all you can eat price is not justified in my opinion and I hope then the owners consider ways the dinner offering can be modified to provide more value to customers. I wouldn't have complained but for the price they made us pay $40+ per person, I need to say something and warn others. It, the restaurant, is just barely okay. Not trying to be a snob, but if you've had decent Kbbq anywhere else in the world, you will be very deeply disappointed in this restaurant. The price for all you can eat seems very overpriced for what you get. However, if you don't know the difference between good/decent quality beef, or quality KBbq , you would probably like this place out of ignorance. And that's okay. But not for me. They also try too hard to be both a kbbq and a sushi place... in my opinion this ruins the experience for anyone trying to enjoy a KBBQ dinner. Just be one or the other, or at least add more variety of meat and seafood. In addition, there is no beef tongue, no beef tongue!! At a kbbq restaurant!! Lol, that's basically the best tasting beef and they don't have it.... In addition, the sides are pretty poor tasting, the cheese corn sucks, diced potato side sucks, no Napa cabbage, no green onion kim chi(a staple of kbbq restaurants) , the sushi actually sucks, the chadol and the galbi beef tastes like someone over froze it and I'm eating freezer burn meat. There is just so many things missing from the menu that should actually be there, and for what actually is there, they do a sub-par job of giving quality, tasty meat, which is totally non existent here. Not good. I won't go into much detail because I don't want to be too hard on them. Two stars because I know they were short staffed, and it's tough times. The waiter was a nice guy and was doing his best, but taking care of a whole restaurant by yourself is an impossible task. I felt bad for him. Food was below average for sure. Very little flavor in the meat, and all of the sides tasted old, maybe frozen and thawed briefly? I wanted to like it because I like Korean food and heard good things. Overall a bad experience. I was so disappointed when I saw it.. my friend had ordered some from there a couple days ago and hers looked Perfect. My potato dog was still a bit raw when you bit into it. & right when I bit into the dog the entire thing fell off the stick, and the batter separated from the cheese. I also met the owner, as I've been following them for a while on social media and he didn't seem very nice. Honestly, I kind of felt like he thought I was stupid while I was ordering. We got the Dinner 1 option "all you can eat." $24.95 for unlimited meats, sushi and sides. I loved how the waiter brought out a sampler plate with some of his favorite meats to start us off with. The must-get meats are Beef Bulgogi, Spicy Pork Bulgogi, and the Chadol. The garlic chicken was also amazing! Although sushi isn't a Korean thing, it was great here! Wow! This was my first time here, although I've already been to a few places with this KBBQ format. The service was the best part about it, our server Evan was amazing! He literally was running back and forth to help everyone and not once did he slow down. I'm impressed with the quality of the food and the variety available, the all you can eat option is great. 2/23/2019 We went to the restaurant on a Saturday, right when they opened (11 am). The restaurant filled up quickly by noon, so arriving right when they opened worked in our favor. We were warmly greeted and seated immediately. Our waitress Tiffany was informative, patient and struck that great balance of letting us be to enjoy our meal but was also very attentive- we felt well taken care of. We all ordered the Lunch All You Can Eat BBQ and Sushi (the All You Can Eat price is $17.95 and for $3 more you get All You Can Eat Sushi as well). The All You Can Eat Lunch includes as much meats, rice and sides and if you choose the All You Can Eat Sushi you will have the option of sushi as well. At Yummy's it's a fun interactive experience, you get to cook your own meats. There are small grills at every table and you receive a small dish of sea salt and pepper and a house made sauce. There are six meats you can choose from: Teriyaki Chicken, Chicken Katsu, Beef Bulgogi, Spicy Pork Bulgogi, Pork Belly and Chadol. My favorite was the Beef Bulgogi-the beef is sliced thin like paper, they cook relatively quickly and with a little salt and pepper? It's delicious! Out of the 14 unlimited sides my favorites are the Oi Kimchi and the Mac Salad. The Oi Kimchi is thinly sliced cucumber kimchi, not only is it tasty but it serves as a pallet cleanser between meats. The Mac salad is seasoned differently then a regular Mac salad and me and my two year old daughter loved eating it! And finally out of the 5 rolls of sushi to choose from my favorite roll is the "God Bless America" roll. It's mildly spicy, flavors work great with each other and there are crunchy onions encompassing the roll offering a great texture to the roll. This is our second time eating at Yummy's and the food itself is reason to dine in. Couple that with the service and friendly environment? It takes the restaurant to the next level-Yummy's is a pleasant and fun experience and if you're ever in the Orem area you should definitely check it out! read more

I'm a little disappointed with the all you can eat option here at Yummy's. The options here are very limited for the price and the only meat dish we actually liked is the unseasoned pork belly which you can season yourself with the salt and pepper they provide. The pork and beef bugolgis were okay but definitely not the greatest. We even tried the sushi which was pretty bad. I tired each component of the sushi roll individually to try to find what was leading to the bad taste, but I found it wasn't an individual ingredient problem, it was a combination problem as well as a rice problem. The sushi rice wasn't even seasoned, it was just plain white rice. If you aren't working with high quality fish, you really need the sugar, vinegar, and optionally kombu (kelp) to flavor the rice to elevate the sushi roll. The real star and only redeeming factor of the all you can eat menu is the side dishes. The spicy cucumber, macaroni salad, potatoes, and radish were absolutely amazing. If you eat here, make sure to eat a lot of these! As for the other side dishes, I'd give the kimichi and fried wontons a miss. The kimichi is too salty and the wontons just don't taste amazing. They aren't too bad, just not great. For the price and the 4.6 star rating, I expected a lot more. read more

We didn't get our food til like 45 minutes after we were seated, had to get our own refills, all the side dishes were always gone, and then when we were close to leaving then they finally brought out allllll this food. I argued to get the tip taken off because I was not paying it. if you want to pay 135.00 to eat white rice with a side of salt, and drink watered down soda then this is your place! First time customer here and it was an awful first impression. It took about about 15 minutes to get our water and I felt like I only spoke with my waitress about 3 times in total. I kept having to remind her, that we needed more water and it was just two of us. She would pass our table and say, "be right back" and come back around 10 minutes later to take our order(all you can eat style). In total it we only were able to order twice with a few meats each time and a sushi roll with each order. We felt neglected while sitting down and my neighboring tables seemed to think the same, whenever the waitress did come around she would say, "thank you for being so patient with me" or "y'all are so awesome for waiting on me!" I went to an all you can eat place and was only able to order twice, then the kitchen took around 20 minutes to get out the garlic chicken that was a little underdone, same with the chicken katsu. Perhaps they were backed up and trying to hurry out orders but the quality for their cooked foods were poor. When I told the manager about everything, I asked for discount of any kind and she gave me a yogurt drink for the inconvenience instead lol. She denied the food was undercooked and didn't seem to be able to process that there were multiple things that lead up to me wanting a discount. I didn't want a handout but I had a bad experience and truly did not want to pay full price ($31.95 per person) for the awful experience I had, especially since I didn't get as much food as I would have wanted. They have great big karoke rooms that can host up to 13 people! Three mics, TV and an iPad karoke system. They also have a cute little light disco ball to add to the karoke atmosphere. You can order appetizers and I would recommend the garlic chicken. It's cripsy, saucy and goes perfect with some rice and Mac salad. The service is great as well. They make you feel like you can enjoy and fully relax while screaming your lungs out in song. They also give you your privacy but will always help you if you ask. Ask for Youri. The service was not great, although it seemed pretty busy. We asked for garlic about 5 times before being told that, "it's not a thing anymore"... umm ok. So like they ran out? Or they never had it? Yummys in Orem feels like home to us! We love the atmosphere. Owners are from Korea and Hawaii and if you're like me and need Mac salad with your bbq, then you're set! They have the best sides and their kimchees are made fresh. I have tried all the other Korean BBQ places and I can tell you right now.. no other places can compete with the quality of their Chadol (beef brisket) and Pork Belly. Nothing but AMAZING! My family are regulars but it happened to be my first time at the Orem location! The overall restaurant and atmosphere is relaxing and casual with Korean music in the background. The owner comes around to ask how everything is and actually starts conversations that are so interesting. We both happen to be from Hawaii! When I first arrived we didn't go around a busy time(maybe because it was a week day). We were immediately helped and seats and asked what we would like to drink? We went for all you can eat and of course we add sushi just for $3 dollars more! The sides came in little plates and once you finish it, you can always ask for more. The waitress was so AMAZING! We came for the lunch all you can eat bbq! Really great meal shared with my spouse. We had a lot of fun cooking and eating together. The meat was fresh and sides were outstanding. By the end I was so full but still got to try a bite of the katsu chicken which was the best I have EVER HAD. The kimchi vegetables are absolutely incredible. Also, unexpectedly the best Mac salad in town. Great atmosphere and local art. Absolutely recommend this place to all! read more
