Fried dough

Came with our friends who have been here before with their families. Everything was delicious! The soy milk was hot and comforting. I prefer mine more sweet though! I added a packet of sugar but it didn't taste as good after. The Chinese dough was huuuuge!! And sooo good!! The king mushroom with egg tofu was very soft and delicious. The appetizer sampler had a good variety. The lollipop chicken was very good and even the string beans! We made a reservation ahead of time but the restaurant is huge. Their kitchen has glass windows so you can see the chefs cooking. The waitress was very attentive and came to check on us and what we thought about the food often.

This used to be the best Chinese food my family ever had, but it has really gone down in recent years. Flavors have become pretty bland with increased prices. The eggrolls we got were soo peppery they made a few of us cough while eating them. Their portions sizes have gotten much smaller and the amount of meat they give is insufficient for the price. I used to always rave about this place being one of the best Chinese restaurants I've ever been to, but that doesn't seem to reflect their current standards. Much sadness indeed.

Cane here by myself for a little craving and after a long hard day. My server was super attentive and swift. The ambiance is nice, I was glad its a bit darker in there because it allowed my mind to settle a bit. Normally id go for dim sum or a more traditional cantonese style meal but I was honestly just craving americanized chinese, specifically orange chicken and lomein. Enjoyed both of them, it really hit the mark for what I was craving at the moment

Such a bummer. Everything on the menu looked great and I wasn't put off by the reviews that mentioned bad service (that usually means the food is good!). We stopped for dinner on a busy Friday night but got seated right away. We had well over 15 minutes at the table before anyone came to take a drink/food order. We got the appetizer sampler, mu shu pork, spicy eggplant and one cocktail. The food took a normal amount of time to come out (the robot is cute) but nothing tasted that good. The sampler was $17 and might not be worth that with double the food. My eggplant was soggy and the tortillas (not thin house made pancakes) for the mu shu pork were cold. We took most of it to go but when it first came out, I ordered a smoothie. We finished our food, boxed it to go, paid the bill and still waited ANOTHER 15min for the smoothie. Ridiculous. The food isn't good enough to put up with service THAT bad.

I ordered the beef and scallop dish. It was excellent.

Last night I went out with several friends celebrating two birthdays. We had dinner at this location. It is so much better than the Vernon Hills location. I have not been to the Schaumburg location in a few years, but their quality still is fabulous. We had a table of nine and our server's name was Rei. He did an amazing job! There were a lot of requests and he managed our table very well. The quality of food was excellent. I stepped away from our table and asked.Rei if Yu's offered anything for birthdays. He said they could provide free ice cream. After we finished dinner and boxed up our leftovers, Rei and another female waitress brought out the two ice cream dishes with a lighted candle in each. Tbey helped us sing happy birthday! It was a wonderful evening and.Rei did a wonderful job!

Vegetarian Noodle Platter - my personal favorite

I have been coming here for many years. Yus has never failed me. Yus is very very consistent with food. Ambiance - good. Nothing to complain about. Service - good. Food - delicious. Extremely vegeterian friendly. Allow us to go off menu with salt and pepper tofu. Food comes out hot and quick. The chili oil is so delicious, I always purchase extra to take home.

I don't get here like we used to when we lived in the area. But the food is still really good, the service is good and they now have a robot as well. It still a great experience and above much above average Chinese food. If you have never been you are missing g out. They have some of the good stuff in the Chinese language menu in the back.

Dirty and food went downhill. Seems they use cheap and dirty oils. I haven't gone back in months and probably won't.

There were a number of her high school friends along w/her daughters that hosted the event. When we arrived the restaurant parking lot was completely full. I dropped off my wife and one of her classmates @ the door & went to find a parking spot. The restaurant was packed w/people waiting to be seated & people coming in to pick up their carry out orders.

Both the service and quality of food has gone way down from what they were famous for. The waitress spilled my tea, also dipped her finger in my tea, had no apology or offer to exchange it with a fresh cup. I had to ask her for a fresh cup of tea. Then the other server that brought our entrees spilled my husbands tea and again no offering to getting a fresh cup. We had to ask AGAIN for a fresh cup! While the portions were generous, the quality of all the food has gone way down. The special family recipe of thier shrimp dish Gan Pong is nothing but fried shrimp with dried chili peppers and no flavor. The Hunan spicy beef and chicken appeared to be all globs and sticky because of excessive and over use of corn starch used during the cooking process. This dish didn't have any unique flavor that one would expect. Previously we had experienced a difference in the food, taste and quality and that's what kept us returning. Sadly, after this experience I wouldn't recommend it to anyone or come back! I'd rather stick with Yu's Mandarin than drive to this place! Quality always wins over quantity in my books!

The Din Tai Fung of Illinois is finally here!…read more My family and I have been chasing the high of Din Tai Fung's soup dumplings for years, but there has always seemed to be an absence of restaurants like this in the Midwest. Thankfully, Phat Phat stepped in to fill that gap. We drove 30 miles for a late lunch around 2:30 p.m. to hopefully beat the crowds. There's a huge parking lot in the back, the building itself is incredibly unique, and the interior is absolutely beautiful. It feels modern while still being warm and inviting. We wanted to try a variety of dishes, so we ordered two baskets of the Shanghai Soup Dumplings, the Enoki Mushroom appetizer, Chicken Fried Rice, Phat Phat Chicken, Nasi Campur, and finished the meal with the Mango Sago. Everything was incredible. The soup dumplings definitely filled the void that Din Tai Fung left behind. Every dish was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and served piping hot. The Mango Sago was the perfect palate cleanser and a refreshing way to end the meal on a hot summer day. The standout for me was the Enoki Mushroom appetizer. That will be a must-order every time we come back. We also have Indonesian family and have visited Bali, so we were excited to try the Nasi Campur. It was spot on. The satay is another must-order in my opinion. Our waiter was kind and attentive, and the rest of the staff were just as welcoming and pleasant. Overall, this was a fantastic experience, and we'll absolutely be back.

Eventually arrived and even with no reservations, we were able to get a table rather quickly. The dining room had clever decor, ample space, and had an inviting atmosphere. A nice quaint place that you gotta try if you're a local or simply looking for a different flair.

It was one of, if not the best hand-pulled noodle spots I have ever had (and this was also eating at home since we did a carry out). The noodles were served in super big bowls. All of the noodles were very good, springy and QQ (iykyk). The beef noodle soup had nice cuts of beef the ones with tendon so the muscle fibers were short and easier to chew through. Also had firm age tofu slices to soak up the broth. The staff all spoke fluent mandarin and really helpful and friendly. They suggested the wide noodle with their biang biang sauce with beef and scallion, it's a dry sauce/oil based dish. The noodles were so very wide and QQ, the widest noodles I've ever seen. Flavor is very good but also a bit spicy. Husband wanted cumin lamb, we had low expectations given that it is a noodle shop, but the flavor, cumin seed and spices as well as the meat are all on point. Both the lamb and beef were tender. The onions were caramelized well without losing the crunch. Overall pleasantly surprised by it.
