The turkey, bacon and avocado sandwich!
    David Fuentes

This place is fairly new! It has high quality food at decent prices! The owner, Alfredo, is the driving force behind the high quality of food and provides great customer service! The turkey, bacon and avocado sandwich is our favorite here! The beef shish kabob is awesome, too! You can't go wrong here! Sergio is a friendly and efficient addition to this team! The place is cute and very clean! Parking is right behind the restaurant! Plenty of parking! I'll been coming back ever since I first walk into this place! The food and the service is consistent! I would give it a ten if I could!

The service was great, the cashier was really helpful and nice, I ordered the kabob plate with an orange juice. Everything was delicious, especially the orange juice. It was one of the best freshly squeezed orange juice I've ever tasted!!! Give that cashier with glasses a raise :)

Ordered the Chilaquites-1 star The worse Maxican food I've ever had Tortilla chips taste old n blend. The green sauce on the top I turned sour badly ruin my appetite. Beans is blend as well. I couldn't finish this dish at all. Green sauce turned bad bubbling sour! I told the front girl, asking if I can switch it to red sauce. The other guy then walked out of kitchen brought me the red sauce instead, but it's still equally bad. Do not serve anything when it's not fresh no more!

Buy one get one deal here ! Had a chubby burger and burrito! I paid for drink and coffee I believe I payed less than 20 ! Great deal TBH ! Service was cool

The specials are great. I love the Kebobs but like most places with kebobs they are kinda pricey.

Mo's Breakfast. Looks good, potatoes were cold..

I was out with my daughter, taking care of her DMV stuff for her new car I just bought her, and we were in the neighborhood, so I had her google a spot for us to have breakfast. Z's pulled up and we were only 1 mile away and decided to give it a go. Since it was highly rated (4.5 stars) I expected it to be really good. It wasn't... The eggs were okay, the bacon wasn't as crispy as I had hoped for, and the potatoes were cold. My daughters bagel was okay, she said.. Overall we spent close to $40 and I wasn't amused. The music and all the pictures on the wall was pretty cool, but that's about it. Overall it was a 3 star establishment for me, because the young lady taking our order, was nice. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again.

Came in on a Sunday for brunch. Pretty busy but we got our food quickly. Fairly priced menu with tons of options. Clean restaurant with patio seating. Love their coffee/tea bar. You would expect this restaurant to be a sit down place but one must order/pay at counter. Also we couldn't find napkins and had to continuously ask staff for them. The staff was friendly though. My child enjoyed her turkey sandwich. My wife loved her sunrise combo and I devoured my brunch combo. Everything was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. We will definitely be coming back even if we have to bring our own napkins.

My loved ones brought me food from here today and let me tell you it was so good!! I'm not 100% sure how it's on the menu but it was chicken, rice, hummus, salad & pita bread. Delicious! Delicious! Delicious!

I love their Sizzling Kabobz! Sometimes they serve it with an authentic pita bread which I love. But sometimes it's served with those store bought pita breads that are more pillowy and bread like, I don't prefer. #207 Raffi's Super Kabob Combo- perfect for indecisive people! You get both beef and chicken. Chicken breast was not dry at all and was tender and juicy. Beef was just the same. Both were flavorful. Rice is always seasoned well. #201 Ground Beef Lule Kabob- seasoned well and tender. I did not like their Chilaquiles breakfast plate. Didn't seem coherent. Tortilla chips were just topped with sauce and drizzled with sour cream, added chopped onions and cilantro. Seemed dry even with sauce topped all over. Egg on top was over done when I asked for over easy. Stick to their non breakfast items. You can order them all day long even during breakfast hours.

    Chicken Lule kabob plate

No words are needed for today's visit this was extremely good today and I only paid 12.14 with tax for this special ! The server was super nice and recommended this deal to me I will be back !

After fighting my way through South Bay traffic and making the drive from Hermosa, I can confidently say it was 100% worth it. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, welcoming, and full of heart. You can tell there's a lot of love behind what they're doing here, and that energy carries through everything from the service to the food and, of course, the coffee. I ordered a quad espresso over ice, and wow... it was absolutely delicious. Smooth, flavorful, perfectly balanced, and honestly one of the better iced espressos I've had in a long time. Even better, the prices felt very fair for the quality. For food, I ordered the chilaquiles and the frijoladas, and both were incredible. They had this subtle but delicious undertone of spice that kept building with every bite. The surprise star of the visit was their house syrup. It was so good that I ended up buying a bottle to take home. The flavor instantly transported me back to mornings in Mexico with my grandma, waking up early, sipping coffee together, and enjoying the comforting aroma of café de olla. It was one of those unexpected moments where a simple taste brings back a flood of memories. Great coffee, amazing food, beautiful atmosphere, and a little taste of nostalgia. I'll definitely be making the drive back.

As for the coffee, if you like a pick me up... and a coffee that isn't sweet but strong. I suggest a refresher drink (tonics). I am genuinely thrilled to have such an upscale, quiet, and relaxing restaurant right here in my neighborhood. You can truly taste the chef's passion and dedication in every dish. Every time I bring friends here, they are absolutely amazed and delighted by the flavors. We ordered quite a few dishes today. The highlight was the Chilean Sea Bass. The chef served a massive, beautifully thick cut--which is actually the hardest to execute. If overcooked even slightly, Chilean Sea Bass becomes dry and tough. But the timing here was absolutely perfect. It had a gorgeous, golden-brown exterior, while the inside remained incredibly moist, tender, and delightfully springy. The seasoning was spot-on and never overpowering; it wasn't too salty, perfectly preserving the natural, fresh flavors of the sea. We also had the Chicken Bowtie Pasta. I typically avoid chicken dishes at restaurants because they often turn out dry and lack the rich aroma you get from beef or lamb. However, Sage's chef elevates chicken to another level. Rather than using the traditional Cantonese technique of quickly flash-frying in oil (which yields a smooth texture but sacrifices the natural meat aroma), the chef here expertly pan-sears the chicken over extremely high heat for a short time. This creates a deliciously crisp exterior that locks in all the juices and rich flavor. Tossed with perfectly cooked bowtie pasta and cheese, the result is so flavorful and well-balanced that we simply couldn't stop eating! Another great thing about Sage is their incredibly generous portion sizes--we left completely satisfied! We finished our meal with a great cup of coffee and the chef's handmade Tiramisu, drawing a perfect, sweet close to our evening. Highly recommend!

We ordered the bluefin tuna toast, cornbread, grilled pork chop, and beef tartare. The bluefin tuna toast was perfectly seasoned and came pre cut making it easy to share. The grilled pork chop was super tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. The beef tartare was also really good, but the cornbread was definitely the star of the meal. The texture was perfect and I can see why everyone recommends it. They also have a great wine selection if you're looking for something to pair with your food. Our server was super knowledgeable and attentive. The wine recommendations paired perfectly with everything we ordered. Overall, everything was delicious and definitely lived up to the hype!!

Whoa, I haven't been back to Dunsmoor in a few years. They got so popular! I checked Open Table for…read morereservations, but the earliest open date was for two months later, so I decided to walk in at 5:30PM when they opened. They seated a bunch of people before me, but I ended up being first on the waitlist. It took maybe 30 minutes to get a table. I highly recommend making a reservation! Service was really good. The host was very friendly and handled the long line very well. It seemed like all the servers were hands on and looked out for the entire dining room. I had a different person refilling water, clearing old plates, and bringing new utensils. They were all nice. The menu was ok because it listed a bunch of appetizers and sides but only three mains (fish, pork, beef). The dessert is also included at the bottom. I went with the cornbread, rice, and beef ribeye. -Edna's Sour Milk Cornbread $21 - so buttery, so good. The honey was delicious. This is the "must order" dish here. -Carolina Gold Rice $31 - high price for small portion size. Too salty. -Beef Ribeye $149 - pretty good. They cut the beef into slices. They also included bone marrow in the bone, grilled lemon, and sea salt. (We had a kinda funny issue with the ribeye, but the server so kindly helped us.) Good luck finding street parking. Some outdoor seating available. Bathroom is in the back. I would visit again!

Artisans, but more than that. World class…read more No other food has made me feel the way that the magic from this kitchen does. Without exaggeration, Bourdain spent his whole career chasing what's here: the kind of food made by a family with genius instincts, who grinds, ferments, smokes, cures, and pickles to mouthwatering effect. It's nirvana. Every single time. I think I've had almost everything on the menu by now. Loved it all, without exception. My repeats have included the huevos rancheros and the huarache azul. Oh, the huarache! Blue corn masa, frijoles, suadero that melts in your mouth because of their patience with it (you can tell), all dressed with salsa macha negra and crema. A fried egg on top. It's fire. The flan con pecanas is Plato's ideal of flan. Silky and sumptuous. The texture from the pecans makes the whole thing feel like a love song. And by now, I've been here enough times to see the true warmth of the family behind the magic. Not only does it radiate outward from the food at each of the (few) tables, but people also reflect it back to them. You can feel it. That is not a small thing. That is actually the whole thing. I drive two hours for this experience, and I'd drive more. Go. Drive however far you need to. Leave speechless.

**May 2026: Sunday Afternoon Visit**…read more My friend and I were looking for an authentic hole-in-the-wall mom-and-pop spot near the East Los Angeles Library, and this restaurant came up. The reviews were overwhelmingly positive, and since it was only about a 10-minute drive, it felt like the perfect choice. Parking can be a bit challenging, but we got lucky and found a spot on a nearby residential street. When we got there, it was a full house, so we were seated in the back since that's what was available. The restaurant itself is small, with seating for about five or six parties, and it proudly reflects its immigrant roots along with a strong emphasis on representation and inclusion. The staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive. One thing to note: the lighting inside is quite dim--we actually had to use our phone flashlight to read the menu. Not ideal, but we were on a time crunch and just happy to be seated. We ordered the Huarache Azul ($17) with a sunny-side-up egg (+$2) and the chilaquiles (+$1 for split sauce), and both dishes were generously portioned and beautifully presented. The Huarache Azul was something new for me. It leaned a bit on the spicier side--not overwhelmingly hot, but rich in seasoning. The meat was very tender, and the blue corn tortilla had a nice earthy flavor, though overall it felt a bit heavy for my taste. The chilaquiles, on the other hand, were excellent--great balance of crunch and softness, with the runny egg adding a rich texture. The salsa had just the right amount of spice and flavor, and I would definitely order this again. A nice touch: when you order water, they provide bottled water on the house. Overall, service was polite, and the staff came across as genuinely hardworking and passionate. I'd definitely consider coming back, especially for the chilaquiles or to try other items on the menu.
