Wow!! Fiiiiiinally made it to this not-so-hidden gem!!! Drove by a million times but never stopped. Soooo glad I did!! There is literally no parking...so they offer complimentary valet parking!! Amazing!! We got seated right away..it was 6 on a Thursday and there was a steady flow of people. The dining area was nice and cozy with a large fireplace as the central focal point. You weren't overhearing other conversations and the lighting was nice and soft. Cloth napkins and table cloths were a really nice touch. Especially when the prices averaged 20-30 per plate. Depends on what protein you get ...our squid pad Thai was $20 (5/2026) and it was a huuuuuge portion. Sooo worth it!! The tom kha soup pot was also a huuuuge portion for $18. A real value!!the vegan in our group was beyond happy with the selection-pretty much the entire menu...plus the vegan dessert options were more than expected. All the food was fresh and so delicious!! Our server, Yesenia was the best! Sooo sweet and patient. We'll be back!!

Zabb is definitely one of our favorite Thai spots. One of my good friends planned a double date at Zabb and we were amazed by the quality of service, food, and cocktails. The servers were very attentive, friendly and helpful. They were great about clearing plates regularly throughout the meal. Food was exceptional and the portions were generous. The only dish that didn't hit was the pad thai, but the Khao Soi absolutely delicious & the pineapple fried rice was solid. Highly recommend if you're in the area craving Thai Food.

Great local spot for some authentic Thai food, with great Thai decor! We went for a coworkers going away lunch, and food came out quick, especially as we were a party of 10. Highly recommend the drunken noodles and Thai tea here, staples of my traditional Thai food order :) Waiters were attentive, and the food HIT! If you're looking for some great local Thai food, 8.5/10 :)

Decent Thai food in Newport Beach - we did takeout from here earlier this evening instead of braving the Valentine's Day crowds. We paid a little over $150 for: Thai chicken wings, Rice, Veg Pot stickers, Mee krob with tofu, Yellow curry with tofu, Satay chicken, Kapow chicken, and Drunken noodles with vegetables. All the food was enjoyed, but my favorites were the apps: pot stickers, satay chicken and Thai chicken wings. The yellow curry tofu was also good but had too much turmeric in it, and the Kapow chicken was too bland. Happy to order from here again.

I still love Zabb so much! It has become my fiancé & my go to spot...so much so that my fiancé planned a surprise engagement dinner party with friends and family after he proposed to me! A large long dining table was put together near the fireplace for all of our people to share dinner & a celebration together. An out of town friend had sent a cake and Zabb was kind enough to let us serve it after dinner. There were a lot of us and the staff at Zabb handled it so well. Zabb remains a favorite & our families and friends love it too! Zabb has countless vegan options for me and my family and friends & non-vegan options for my fiancé and his family! We love a place that can accommodate everyone! Funny enough, I already had plans to go to Zabb the next day to enjoy their Newport Beach Restaurant Week (which OC restaurant week 2026 is coming up!), and we didn't have as many leftovers as we were hoping from the dinner (since everyone enjoyed the dishes thoroughly), so we went back the next day for their Restaurant Week menu! Yum. Always a reliably delicious meal. Thank you Zabb!!

Randomly ended up here for lunch and I am so glad I did. Pros: *Great service. Staff were friendly and timely. They also chased me down in the parking lot when I forgot my credit card in the bill book. *Delicious food. Very flavorful! I especially liked the soup that came with the lunch special - nice and comforting with a rich cilantro flavor. Portion sizes for the entrees were generous, too. *Affordable. For the amount and quality of food, I thought this place gave you good bang for your buck. Cons: *The parking lot was a bit small but that wasn't an issue at lunchtime - maybe it would be more hassle during a dinner rush though.

First but not the last time I'm coming here! I'm obsessed with the Pad Thai here; I think about it almost every day! The flavors were explosive and the noodles' texture were perfect! The restaurant was wonderful, it has a beautiful & authentic aesthetic and vibe! The parking situation here sucks though.

Great quality Thai food at a reasonable price. The service was fast and friendly. We had a party of 5 ppl. The ambiance was elegant and a little fancy. Not too fancy. They have a small parking lot w/ valet parking. The flavor to each dish was amazing. The Khao Soi was a little spicy. My favorites were the Tofu Fried Rice and Tofu Pad Thai. Definitely recommend and would come back here. Tofu Fried Rice: 4.5/5 Pad See Eww Chicken: 4/5 Pad Thai Tofu: 4.5/5 Tom Kha Soup: 4/5 Khao Soi Tofu: 4/5

Our restaurant week tour continued today with a lunch at Zabb. The dining room was bright and lit well naturally with large windows. Portion sizes were really big providing for a tasty value meal! Great spot for Thai food.

I looked for thr best Thai food and the area and I think we struck gold! We had 5 dishes and we could have gone down to 2 or 3 the portions are so large! We started with Cream cheese fried wontons, shrimp spring rolls, and steamed potstickers. I would say the potstickers were mynleast favorite. They were Thai style so a little different then I expected but still good. Also had a delicious Tom kha soup which is delicious! Creamy and filled with shrimp in every bite. The 5 dishes we went with were Red Curry, Singapore Mai Fun, Young Ginger with Duck, BBQ pork with chow fun noodles. and finally the combo fried rice. I have to say, that the meal was one of the best I had in a Thai restaurant in some time. Fireplace lit in the back area tables of all sizes with a wonderful relaxing ambiance. The service was so great that our server was so on top of everything Multiple staff members made sure our water was full at all time and continued to make sure our service was perfect! Worth the 15 min from Irvine!

Food and service are both excellent! It's beautifully decorated and could accommodate large party. But, the location is right on the busy PCH, but it's free valet so it makes up for the tricky location. We truly enjoyed our meal.

Thanksgiving at Zabb Thai Cuisine (Minus the Turkey, Plus Way More Flavor) If Thanksgiving dinner packed its bags, ditched the turkey, and ran off to Thailand for a flavor upgrade, it would taste exactly like our night at Zabb Thai Cuisine. We kicked things off with the beef skewers, a solid start--basically the appetizer version of that one dependable cousin who always brings the good mac 'n' cheese to the family potluck. My picky eater ordered a kids' toy-Rogers situation (truly a Thanksgiving miracle) which he enjoyed... but then he met the lemon chicken. True to form, he looked at it the same way he looks at Aunt Jasmin's mystery casserole: absolutely not. A tradition is a tradition. I ordered the mango burst, which was delicious but sweet enough to qualify as its own dessert. Thankfully, the tom kha soup with shrimp brought balance back to my universe. Creamy, cozy, and loaded with shrimp--like wrapping yourself in a warm blanket after your third plate of food at Thanksgiving dinner. My handsome BF stayed classic with a Thai iced tea and the garlic pepper shrimp with white rice--a combo so good even the Thanksgiving turkey would retire early. And dessert? Mango fritters with mango ice cream. Perfect. Shareable. The kind of dessert you pretend you'll split evenly but definitely end up negotiating like it's the last slice of holiday pie. Our waitress was sweet and the valet made everything convenient. Overall: 10/10 would celebrate a Thai-sgiving here again. . Stress free and low-key. Next time will snap more pics but everything was solid.

Think cute and quaint with the expression of Thai cuisine. The dining room is on the smaller side, but embraces a cozy ambiance. If you want a little breathing room, the alternative is the outdoor patio where they offer larger tables and a spacious setting. Upon entry we were greeted and taken to the interior dining, we eventually decided that dining outside would be more to our liking and they quickly helped us relocate. Our waitress was friendly, social, and very knowledgeable. She was ready to provide descriptions of anything on the menu and expressed to us her favorites, which is helpful when you are faced with choices that all sound amazing. The menu is intentionally concise, not extensive, which we figured out once the food arrived why this was. The food has a visually captivating appeal and is even more delicious than we could have imagined. It is too bad they don't have pictures on the menu because all the food was beautiful played and a true feast for your eyes! A must try is the Thai Sausage from. The appetizers. It is cooked to perfection with a crunchy outside and tender inside, this sausage should not be passed up. Served with aromatic spice, ginger, onion, peanuts, and sprouts. Masterfully composed with the interplay of textures, just flawless! A great pairing with your meal is the Thai Tea. Typically, this is very sweet in restaurants, but they hit the mark with this harmonious blend. A plus is they have the soft chewable nugget ice! Another do not pass up is the Son-In-Law Eggs, thinly/lightly crisped exterior of a deep fried egg with heavenly caramelized tamarind glaze. Absolutely brilliant pairing with the shallots! Definitely an appetizer to remember, chef's kiss! We also had the Pork Fried Rice with subtle notes of garlic and soy, mixed with greens and onion to give bursts of color and texture. A fresh lime squeezed over the top gave it the perfect finish. My only critique here would be a slighter hand of salt for those who are watching their intake. Don't forget the Banana Pudding dessert because it is a delightful and velvety creamy custard with caramel sauce and cookie crumbles on the side, topped with whip cream. The food respects tradition, embraces refinement, and is simply exceptional. I can't wait to go back to try some of the other dishes they offer!

After pursuing some options in the Newport/Huntington Beach area, I decided to make 8:30 pm reservations for Starfish in Newport Beach! I have driven past this location so many times, and was excited to finally try it out! Upon entering, I was impressed by the moody interior with beautiful lighting and a gorgeous wooden door. The hostess was kind and quick to offer us a two-top bar style seating table that was close to the kitchen. We appreciated that we were sat so promptly, and we actually enjoy sitting close to the kitchen so we could see all of the deletable food options! We began our meal with two rolls as appetizers - the Buddha roll and the Sushi Nigiri Plate. The Buddha roll was a tofu-based vegan roll with a fun touch of toasted coconut flakes and two delicious sauces layered on top. Both my boyfriend and I loved the roll and would absolutely order it again. My boyfriend loved the sashimi plate and stated that the seafood was fresh and was higher in quality compared to your average sushi restaurant. Moving onto our main course, I ordered the Thai Green Vegetable Curry with coconut rice (which our server mentioned was different from the regular white rice because they cook it with coconut milk instead of water) and my boyfriend was craving another sushi roll, so he opted for the Shrimp Tempura Roll. The Shrimp Tempura Roll was pleasantly different from regular shrimp tempura rolls, because it contained crab meat and shrimp tempura. We noticed at this point, that all three of the sushi rolls that we ordered used rice paper instead of seaweed, and this unique twist to the sushi rolls enhanced them! I LOVED the presentation of the Thai Green Vegetable Curry. Something about a large stem of basil cascading over my food makes it extra fun to eat! In all seriousness, this was one of the best curry's I have had, and the coconut rice enhanced the entree. For our beverage selection, the cold sake that we hoped to try was out of stock, so we requested hot sake instead, which we sipped on through the meal. Pro Tip: the hot house sake was only $10 which is an amazing price point! Finally, it came to my favorite part of the meal, dessert! My boyfriend was leaning towards the Scratch Cheesecake, and I was leaning towards the Mango Pudding. We asked for our server for her recommendation, and she stated that the Banana in Fillo Dough or Scratch Cheesecake were her top two options. Based on this, we opted for the Scratch Cheesecake. It was good, but I probably wouldn't get it again. In my mind, I think of a cheesecake and immediately crave a thick slice of a classic New York style cheesecake. However, this was served in a glass with a graham cracker crumble as the base, and a cheesecake-style mousse layer above, with poached asian pears as a topping. While this wasn't my favorite part of the meal, it was still a fun twist on a classic dessert with a lovely presentation. Next time, I think I'll follow my heart and try the Mango Pudding. Between the food, ambiance, wonderful service, and elevated experience for an affordable price point, we will definitely return!
