Terrible family dinner. My family and I dined in. Everyone had their food but one person. The waitress "Jennifer" took the order wrong. I understand mistakes happen till you're waiting more that 20 minutes for a Chimichanga. When we asked for the food since we have been waiting for so long.. JENNIFER mentioned that the reason why the food was talking long was because "the Kitchen staff" prioritize orders that are to go. It's not fair if everyone else is eating but ONE PERSON!! Zacatacos was my last stop during my taco hooping. It also happened to be the best one of the three places I tried. Which is unfortunate because I was already getting full. I've had Zacatacos before but, I don't remember them tasting as good as they did here. The dining area is long and narrow, and their customer service can use some minor adjustments. They weren't as welcoming and seemed rushed, which I would understand if the place was busy, but there was only just a few of us dining in. Now on to the tacos. I ordered one al pastor taco and one carne Asada. Their al pastor was very weird in texture and in taste. I'm not really quit sure what kind of meat they used; but if it taste weird like that again when I return, I'll stop ordering them. Their carne Asada was phenomenal. They use arrachera for theirr carne asada, which gives it a very fatty flavorful taste with every bite. The tacos here are huge and full of meat, and definitely worth the price. The meat was RAW, which is completely unacceptable. My nachos had barely any chips, were missing ingredients, and there was hardly any salsa. I order for a substantial amount of food at Zacatacos. They threw my food together in the bag and upon opening it my steak dinner had a little rice and beans. I looked at my receipt and they charged me $9 for Guacamole and chips in which I had only asked to be charged for guacamol. of course she told me that that the price cannot be separated. You have to get the chips with the guacamole not just a guacamole in which it was priced for an additional 25% not $4.50. And when I did get home to try and enjoy my meal, I was missing a guacamole and no chips. which I told the young lady if I pay for guacamole and chips, even if I said, I didn't want the chips if I them, I would expect for them to be in the bag. I called them back and they told me without proof I would have to bring the food 6 miles back to them in order to be compensated for any missing items. This will be the last time they get my service as a because their service is terrible. The food is skimpy for the price and they don't respect what the customer say. Totally screwed up our order, which was relatively simple. Asked for NO cilantro - cilantro galore. Asked for extra sour cream/lettuce/tomatoes - not a single piece in sight. I drove over to Zacatacos on my drive south with a friend. I had anticipated this visit for a very long time. Years ago when I had dated my ex, he would take me to Zacatacos for Mexican and at the time, it was delicious. They were the best tacos in my book. I was hoping my return visit (nearly 8 years later) would warrant this claim. Sadly, I feel like this chain's food quality went south over the years. I ordered my usual (Carne Asada tacos with rice and beans) and it just didn't taste as good as I remembered it. The flavors were lacking. My Carne Asada meat was dry and the supposedly soft corn tortilla shells they came in tasted like they had sat out for hours. The shell was hard when I bit into it. I was expecting a softer, chewier texture. I also ordered a side of guacamole and chips and the guacamole to onion ratio was practically all onion with a sad smattering of guac. As a whole, I was saddened by my mediocre meal however the service was excellent. Our server was friendly. She seated us promptly and our food came out in a timely fashion. The interior was also very well kept and clean. If they can work on improving the taste and quality of their meals, I would give them a second chance but due to this most recent unmemorable meal, I don't plan on returning. read more

Slight above average.... The parking is fairly inconvenient but you should be able to find street parking in most cases. Service, food, other is slight above average. Food is good but not my favorite al pastor tacos. Tacos are wrapped and in double tortilla. They aren't skimpy on the taco meat so that is a Plus.
