I usually go to the Taco burrito King on North avenue in Chicago in Oak Park Ave but since now I work in Tinley Park and I go straight North bound.I didn't feel like cooking dinner. Good place for fast food Mexican. I was wanting a veggie burrito delivered and every nearby place you had to pick a meat so I ended up going with this place. Plus it's inexpensive! I got a king burrito I think with veggies and no sour cream, nachos (chips with cheese on the side), salsa, and guac. I ordered green salsa but they didn't give it to me. They also forgot to give me jalepeños that we're supposed to come with the nachos. The portions were huge and super filling! I been here about four times . This location is always on point with my order . Sopes , asada taco , steak Fries & milanesa torta all on point . The salsa are not watered down .no weird aftertaste .The meat was not chewy or tasteless .i really thought the meat would not be good from This spot since I only go to two taco spots . I came here last week and the special of the day was the flautas plate for $11.99. It was three chicken flautas with a drink and rice and beans. The food was terrible. The flauta was so hard that the meat was dry and the outside shell was clearly fried several times and not fresh. I thought I would break a tooth that's how hard it was over fried. The beans looked and smelled like canned dog food. My fiancé and I both did not like the food at all. The only good thing was probably the horchata. read more

We've been ordering from here for years, online ordering and picking up only. The last four times in a few months, our orders have been completely wrong (missing multiple items, including sour cream on items requested not to etc). While the order is ready quickly, it just seems like they can't get it right anymore. The quality of the ingredients also seems sub par now and prices have only increased. The parking lot is tiny and usually full so it's hard to even find parking. read more

The service was real bad. Asked the young girl if she can charge me separate and was confused of what I was asking n gave attitude. Never again. I went here for a quick bite. I had the super nachos with chicken. Only 7.95 that's a great price. They don't charge extra for the sour cream or guac like almost every other place, and just look at the amount of guac I got, like almost a whole avocado. I wish there was one closer to where I live. read more

This place was dirty. Placed my order and when I went to sit down noticed all tables were dirty. I asked the girl at the register if they could clean our table and she tried handing me the rag for me to clean it myself! There was no one else in the restaurant! She was just standing there behind the counter doing nothing. So many better places to eat. Never coming here again. Cheese on my quesadilla was rubbery and rice and beans were bland. read more

Honestly as of right now with prices going up i think TBK is still the best choice. Nothing is extra on your tacos unlike a lot places now. Their Al Pastor is amazing and food is always piping hot even after a 20-30 minute drive home. read more

Place isn't that bad for being a chain Mexican restaurant. Got veggie tacos and they were loaded af. Peppers, onions, guac, lettuce, cheese and sour cream - not your usually rice and beans tacos. It's a bit of an icon around these parts and while not outstanding it is perfectly respectable Mexican street fare. Tacos are big by most standards and chock full of whatever meat or veg you choose. Went with the steak which could stand to use a bit more char but still good quality skirt steak ntl. Rice and beans ala carte ring in at $2.50 each, which is a bit steep imo. read more

This is another of my local spots to eat after a night of drinking lol. I like TBK, it's clean, never any rowdy crowds here like in other late night spots in the area. The portions here are huge, from the tacos to the burritos. The thing I order every time I'm here is the cheese fries there good, and they go awesome with a taco. read more

We didn't call to complain not asked for a refund or exchange. We don't like to waste food but for our palette is sure did not meet a wow experience. The food is midocor. Not completely terrible but not special either. Low quality Mexican cuisine. The beans are terrible, strongly discourage from getting them. They look like someone threw up on your plate and don't taste much better either. The burrito was alright. If you dine in they serve it on a ceramic plate, but then give you cheap flimsy plastic utensils which should be banned from use in any public restaurant. Drop the beans and invest in some silverware and I might stop by again. read more

Delicious Mexican food on Harlem! Instead of the usual tacos, torta, or burrito, I opted for a taco salad with steak. The salad was delicious from first bite to last. The carne asada was flavorful and the guacamole, sour cream, and cheese toppings didn't overshadow the meat. Try the salsa verde, it's great. The cashier was friendly too. Thumbs up! read more

They fried my sopé. Who does that? Meat tasted old and reheated. Not sure I could even eat this garbage after a night out drinking. With everything being closed, this was the only option besides McDonald's. Then the icing on the cake, they refused service to an on-duty first responder who came for take out without a mask. I saw him walk in and he walked right back out. I asked him what happened and he said they kicked him out. Nice going TBK especially in a neighborhood full of first responders. read more

To the girl who was cashier yesterday at 11pm, you left us very unhappy customers - to go order 114 & 115 (unfortunately). Ordered a few things plus a large guac and chips. Got the food, noticed the guac and chips were not in there...so kindly asked for them. Was met with rudeness and she said I'm looking at the receipt and you did not order any guac and chips. You have to pay for them if you want them. Well, ok..if she is looking at the receipt then I am not going to argue with her. We bought another guac and chips. Apparently, she failed to mention she is blind. We get home and well what do you know...clear as day is the 5.75 on the first receipt that we did in fact order and pay for a large guac and chips! Lucky us, we got to pay for overpriced, oddly bright neon green guacamole twice. Sigh... Here's some advice...when a customer tells you that you forgot something...take the time to ACTUALLY check the receipt instead of just jumping down their throat and assuming they are trying to get free food off you. Here is an even crazier idea...how about you not be rude? Maybe even apologize to a customer when you made a mistake? I can understand orders getting messed up when it's busy, but I don't mind if the staff is at least friendly. And they were not busy, it was 11pm on a Monday night. No other customers in sight. On another note, the steak was clearly sitting on the grill all day and half of it was crispy from being waaaaay overcooked. Moral of the story, this place can be decent. We have been here before and the food was ok. I guess your experience depends on who will be working that night. Also, maybe go earlier in the day so you aren't left with the burnt steak leftovers that have been sitting on the grill for who knows how long. read more

It was almost 1a.m in this side of town, everything else was pretty much closed. Except for this crappy place, I don't believe in the Taco and Burrito Diners; they're expensive for what they're really worth. I had the "Junior Burrito" it was less then a regular Burrito, and the Tacos... I mean really! Tacos with lettuce and sour cream, Oh! It gets worse. How the hell are they going to expect me to eat a Burrito with just a freaking fork, and the Salsa Verde & Roja were terrible, might as well have them fill the bottles with WATER and, red and green food-coloring. We did make reservations/wait list and was seated immediately. We started off with chips and salsa, and the salsa was a bit too spicy for me, but everyone else enjoyed it. We started with the Chicken Poblano - a savory dish with creamy poblano sauce mixed with chicken and sliced poblano peppers topped with corn. We all enjoyed it. Most of the reviews recommended the enchiladas and we ordered a variety of them. The Enchiladas Poblanos stuffed with chicken and cheese. The poblano sauce was rich and smoky. We also had the Enchiladas Morita. They were filled with shrimp and cheese. It was so flavorful and the morita chile added so much flavor. Each dish was served with a side jicama salad. Their special was a shrimp pasta with lobster. It came with full lobster tail. The sauce was creamy and flavorful. It is also BYOB, which is a nice option. Service was excellent, friendly offered recommendations. This is probably one of my favorite Mexican restaurants and highly recommend.

The tamipquena is marinated in something delicious, pretty sure it includes adobo chiles, making the tamipquena flavorful and tender. The enchiladas have some of the best sauces. We especially love then poblano sauce on the chicken enchiladas. The enchiladas have some tender chicken and the sauce is slightly spicy and creamy. Everyone is super friendly, the waiting staff and chef take pride in their work and it shows. I continue to strongly recommend this place for a delicious dinner out. This is not your typical Mexican restaurant. It s a cozy elevated escape.

From the queso fundido (we got ours with chicken) to the Mole enchiladas, to the tacos... everything was so good and fresh. Tortillas handmade. Meat is juicy and flavorful. Rice was delicious. For dinner I got the chicken fajitas, the waiter asked if I wanted just chicken which I though was odd because I ordered the chicken fajitas and I wasn't sure what he meant or if he meant no veggies, it came with veggies luckily. It also came with tortilla, corn, and a side of refried black beans with cojita, and rice. It was all okay. My partner got the lamb mole, it was sweet and savory, not spicy. And it came with tortillas. They have a lot of mole options, so if you're into that definitely come here to try! Overall it was just okay.

The drinks were fantastic, with some unique twists on the margarita. Chicago has plenty of restaurants to chose from, but Frontera is worth a visit.
