Nice people and well crafted Mediterranean fare. I often get a lamb kabob combo and the lamb is always tender and cooked correctly (I get it cooked medium). Instead of the rice I ask for the Mediterranean salad and get sides of hummus and falafel. Never disappoints! I've also had the beef/lamb shawarma sandwich - it comes in either a pita or shrak bread and I find I prefer the shrak bread and have them add the green chili sauce. I've been coming here since they opened, probably 2-3 times a month and the folks are very kind and they remember you! It's a family business as well. read more

Ordered two meals side of falafel and sandwich paid $35 got home and opened the bag and it's the sandwich and a small order of beef and falafel. Called and they pretty much said too bad. What a joke read more

The quality of their food has gone down significantly recently and for the price you're paying it's disappointing to see. It used to be a 4/5 restaurant but the quality of the grape leaves to the rice has noticeably fallen. Sad reaccs read more

Food is AMAZING flavorful savory great portion for prices friendly service and timely manner

Honestly came here because panini kabob closed due to covid and I seen great reviews about this place. The chicken kabob is overwhelmed with spices, hummus absolutely zero flavor, and garlic sauce was ok but looks like lard mixed with garlic. Would not come back ever. I've visited several middle eastern kabob restaurants and this one has been the worst by far. Save your money instead. read more

This eatery just does not disappoint even after, at least, five visits. Now, there is a white board on the wall that tells you apprx. how long you'd have to wait for the type of meat or order you like -- from 10 to 25 mins wait but the food is quite worth it. We had the beef kabab on a plate of delicious long-grain rice with egg plant hummus (mutabal) and Mediterranean salad as sides. The meat was so fresh and tender. The rice was soft and tasty. The hummus was absolutely flavorful. The naan was soft and fresh. The garlic dip that comes with the naan tasted incredible -- I wiped the entire garlic container clean with the naan and beef. The salad is, also, very refreshing. It's one of those meals that makes me keep wanting more after cleaning my plate and being stuffed to the brim. This is one of the local eateries I'd support any day. It's a gemstone. read more

The food was good, but they had the worst customer service which really turned me off to this place and I will not be coming back. The cashier was rude, disconnected, and inattentive. Adding to this review- a few hours after this post, I get a reply from the owner. My wife had left her purse behind during our visit and the owner recognized my last name and this review and reached out to me. Thank you for doing that, it certainly makes up for the poor customer service I received earlier. read more

Wasnt expecting it to be so good considering its a chain. But i was impressed! The chicken was cooked perfectly and their grape leaves were delicious. I wouldve taken a star away because i didnt like their beef. Cooked fine but the flavoring seemed off to me. The person i went with loved it though, so im not too sure what happened there. We'll call it a wash. read more

My favorite place in Rancho for Middle Eastern quick bites. I'm from Dubai and this place reminds a lot of the Arabic fast food I used to get back home. So delicious and the excellent service has been consistent. Thank you read more

I ate here yesterday. I had heard about this restaurant from a lot of people so I had to check it out. I had the chicken shawarma with hummus and a couple stuffed grape leaves. All of it was amazing! The chicken had a perfect marinade and was super tender and moist. I have traveled the world and ate hummus in just about every Mediterranean country....Zait Bristro hummus was better than them all. I will definitely be back. read more

Not fresh, or made in house. The chicken for my shawarma was not thinly shaved at listed it was more like ground chicken tasted boiled. The shawarma was heavily sauced which made it cold and very messy to eat. I would like to give their Kabobs a try but do not recommend the chicken shawarma. read more

So I come here often and always have a nice experience here. Today I order the beer shawarma with a shrak which is more than the pita. I always love eating this as it is delicious, but the fact that staff did not tell me they were out of shraks and gave me a tortilla kinda upsets me. The tortilla is smaller and I didn't feel like it went well with the food. If staff would have told me they were out I would have been fine and got pita. My boyfriend and I were kinda disappointed. Not to mention we waited awhile and were not informed. I get that good quality food takes time, but just be honest with me that you don't have what you need and I'll be understanding. Mad I had to pay more for less than I usually get. Other than that, the inside of my "burrito" like shawarma tastes great. read more

Delicious! Had the filet miniont was very tender.. Tabouli was good. Chicken kabob was perfect. Only reason I gave it a 4 star is because they didnt serve me mich tabouli in my to go tray. Maybe 3 tsp. Buy very good food. read more

Zait Bistro - Good food good prices good employees. - Mediterranean Near Me - Rancho Cucamonga, California

If you're in the mood more Mediterranean, this will certainly do the job. I got the Medium Combo plate with steak and chicken kabobs. Didn't want rice so I got the tabouleh, hummus, and Mediterranean salad. Sides were good Chicken was decent, tho a little on the dry side. Steak lacked seasoning. Wouldn't order it again. The food was generally okay, but my biggest problem with my to go order was the ONE napkin I got. Who does that?? We're talking hummus and pita here! At $16 a plate, I was hoping for at least two napkins. I'm not from the area, so I haven't tried other Mediterranean spots. If there's nothing comparable near here, I would probably be back. read more

This place was sooooooo delicious!!! I ordered the beef kebab sandwich, with pita bread, dang so good, but dipping the food in their garlic sauce, DAYUMMMMM!!!!! We will be back again, if you haven't tried it, go try it! read more

This place rules!!!! I got the small chicken shawarma with their babaganouj and tabouleh. Fantastic!!! The rice is so good, the chicken delicious, and the GARLIC SAUCE glorious. Good job guys!!!! This place is sooo tasty but be prepared for a wait. Between 11-1:00 they are picked out the door (hey, it lets you know their good). It usually takes 15-20 min to get your food after ordering and the portions are pretty hefty. read more

If you want great food, go here. If you want good service, stay away. Have been coming here for years, the food is great, fresh every time. However the customer service is beyond awful. Rude. Every. Single. Time. In person or on the phone. It truly feels like if you're in their presence you are an inconvenience. It's gotten to the point that my husband refuses to go there because he cannot take the service anymore. I'd like to believe we are reasonable people, this should show how terrible their service is. If this place can just learn basic manners, they will succeed. I hope they get it together. Such a shame. read more

The food is good and is their saving grace, but service is spotty at times. Whether it be the cashier, order issues or time it takes to get your order (compared to other mediterrian places who cook the meat fresh), it has not been consistent or I would give 5 stars. Definitely try them out. read more

We come to eat lunch here every other day. It's very good . I always get the Shawarma plate with Falafel and a side of red cabbage or hummus . So tasty . Zait Bistro is definitely a place to go if you want outstanding Mediterranean food. The food is always fresh and has outstanding flavor. I can't get over the hummus! The hummus has so much flavor and is silky smooth, I could literally eat it all by itself. Not to be out done is their rice. This is a hit with our family. Both Sam and Lizzy take pride in their restaurant and it shows from how you are cared for when ordering to how delicious the food tastes. Once you eat here, you won't go anywhere else for Mediterranean food! read more

Came here after seeing that beef kebab photo posted by a fan. It looks that great. And tastes even better. Perfectly medium rare, tender, moist and just juicy when eaten with that garlic sauce that accompanied the meal. The rice is flavorful but should be a tad drier in my opinion. When eating at a Mediterranean place, it won't be complete until one has had a pastry. Unfortunately, they are out of their baklava. Urgggh... They have a free tea that I cannot put a finger on for the flavor but it is unique and thirst quenching - keep thinking it reminds me of a Chinese herbal drink. read more

This place is so clean and so delicious, I drive from Eastvale at least 1-2 times a week. My absolute favorite is the lamb chops medium well, they are so juicy and tender I can never get enough of them. The Mediterranean Salad is my favorite side I always take double of that. I recommend ordering ahead of time by phone or through menufy where every month they have free items and instant coupons. read more

This year I did not make my trip to Turkey due to the civil unrest, so I longed for some good authentic Mediterranean Middle Eastern food and found it here at Zait Bistro. Geneva was kind enough to take our order and offer us a taste of some unfamiliar salads, which we loved so much that it was hard to make a decision and she was into different salads. She was very courteous, kind and efficient when it came to taking our order. It wasn't that much longer after our order maybe 15 to 20 minutes that we were able to eat our wonderful dishes. They use modern technology so your receipt can be emailed to you otherwise I'd be writing down exactly what kind of meal we ordered. I honestly can't remember the exact name. All I can remember is how wonderful the rice pilaf was nice and moist. The beef was cut into fine small pieces with tons of flavor. The salads were tangy and very tasty. What I completely enjoyed the most was, the garlic sauce. I sprayed it all over the fresh warm pita bread as I filled it up with all these good delights. I highly recommend and definitely plan on coming back to treat myself and my son maybe even his friends too just to allow them understand how wonderful food from far-off lands like Palestine can taste! read more

I ordered a Chicken Shawarma today much to my disappointment it tasted nothing like Shawarma. It tasted like Chicken Curry . Very disappointed overpriced. Not at all middle eastern food . I read your reply from the owner stating that they don't serve Indian food . I know middle eastern food and I know Indian and I happen to like both . But the food I had at your restaurant tasted slightly a bid on both sides . And honestly wasn't at all close to taste acceptable read more

Gave this place a shot but nothing here really impressed me :( I know they say they're not fast food, and so they take their time to cook everything fresh, but you'd think with the amount of time they took to prepare my order, they would be sure not to forget anything. I didn't have any garlic toum in my bag and I didn't realize until I got home. Kinda bummed because I love garlic toum. Their kebab meal had wayyyy less meat than I expected. But overall, nothing I ate made me straight up think "this is not good", so I guess it's safe to say that their food is pretty good! lol The service was pretty good too! There was this young man working there who was super kind and patient with me while I took forever to decide what salad I wanted. He let me sample all of them and he didn't mind at all. He was very attentive and nice. But then a young female worker took my order once I finally decided, and she was kind of indifferent and it came off a little rude. I might come back here and give it another try. read more

The food is so good! Had it twice last week! Service isn't the greatest but they are having to deal with Covid. I ordered curbside pick up and I think they forgot about my order because I had to wait awhile after my pick up time and it was very hard to get ahold of someone. The phone was busy. I highly recommend the falafel and the chicken schwarma wrap. read more

Grew up with arabic food at home. This is the only restaurant I've found that reminds me of those delicious flavors. We arrived few minutes before 11 am and sure enough, the restaurant owner opened at exactly 11 and couldn't wait to try their food. Owner (Sam) greeted me and recommended the grilled chicken, which turned out to be so tasteful, he also suggested the lamp chops, and boy, those lamb lovers, the taste was exquisite. Everything else was great. The Hummus, the Tahini Salad, the Falafel (which was on the house) were all great. Thank you Sam and Liz for your superb food and service, sure will come back again. read more

Not bad. Love the fried chickpeas. And the rice was bomb. Ate everything except potatoes and salad.

It's been a year and a half since I had a meal at this awesome place when I was working in California, and I can still remember how delicious everything was. Exploring Rancho area with my wife brought us here last week. We're back. That should tell you enough but I'll give you a little more info to satisfy your curious nature. Zait is a nice little place great for small groups. I wouldn't want to come here often with more than 4-6 people. They make their scrumptious fare when your order, so be ready for a 15-20 minute wait for your food. If you're in a hurry you can order directly through Yelp ahead of time... but the wait is worth it! The staff are friendly and the shop is on a corner with great light coming through the windows. They have a few tables outside too. Come quickly, you won't regret it! read more

Zait Bistro - Chicken shawarma combo - Mediterranean Near Me - Rancho Cucamonga, California

my fave spot in Rancho. A bit pricey, but not bad at all compared to competitors in the area or even Raffi's in Glendale One complaint- chicken in dry!!! Consistently dry... My fave is of course the beef Kabob- medium rare. They mostly make it right. One time they overcooked. My faves: beef Kabob, garlic butter (of course), their rice (so buttery), hummus with the good olive oil, falafel (not my fave in the area, but sufficient) Lamb, shawarma ok But I will ALWAYS come on my cheat days for the beef Kabob plate. read more
