Yum! I love Zanata. My favs: Blue Crab Dip (AH-MAZING), Ceasar salad (they add bacon and chopped egg), their pizza, and their ribeye Florentine. They have a great wine list too! They're pretty much always busy, but it's totally worth the wait. Oh and if you have little ones they bring a little plate of fruit and bread when you get your drinks, so thoughtful! read more

The thing about Zanata is it is sooo loud in the restaurant. My husband is hard of hearing and so it isn't a place he enjoys. We love the food but it isn't our first choice. I do like to meet my girl friends for lunch there. read more

Unfortunate - It saddens me to write a 3 star review for Zanata as I have frequented here often and always felt it was a 4 - 5 star ...but last night was a let down. The service and food just wasn't up to par as in past visits. Last night some of the food was so heavily salted it couldn't be eaten, or being served under cooked pork. They were busy so we definitely gave grace to our server but still lacking some attention. If you stack your waitstaff their regular tables as well as a large party ask some other staffers to assist with their current tables. Rating a 3 as there were items that were spot on. But when 1 person pays upwards of $100 for a few drinks and a steak dinner I personally expect better. :( - I wanted to add they did try to compensate for the food etc. with dessert on the house read more

I have eaten here and the past and always loved it. Today my grandma and I ordered food, and due to the coronavirus they brought it out to us curbside, and we were also able to order alcoholic drinks and take them to go as well. This place goes above and beyond with their service, hospitality and quality of the food. I will continue to support them, as long as they stay open, and after the virus has passed. read more

We've been going to Zanata for around 2 years now, and service has always been very good, no matter the size of our group. We went there this past Friday, and our experience was not the best. We waited for almost 2 hours for a table for a group of six. We arrived there at 5:25, which is still not the busiest time for dinner. The worse part of everything is that when we inquired with the hostess about how much longer it would be and she advised we needed to keep waiting because they only had 3 tables in the whole restaurant that could accommodate 6 people we asked to speak to the manager, he was the most unprofessional manager I've ever have to deal with. His answer was, " This is Friday night at Zanata," and basically did not care about the fact that we had been waiting for 2 hours at this point. If he can't manage to think outside the box and put two tables together to accommodate a group this size that has been waiting 2 hours, this might not be the right job for him. So, if you can somehow manage to get a reservation (I tried), you're good. If not, expect a 2+ hour wait and bad attitude from management. Seems the only way to get a table is for your party to be between 1 and 4 people! read more

Wow! Great environment, food, and management! My husband and I came here for a day date today. We started with the crab dip and our bartender recommended "pizza bread" instead of the other bread it normally comes with... best decision! It was delicious! Later, I had the lobster ravioli (to die for) and my husband had the steak Diana (great)! To finish we had the bananas foster and just woah! BEST bananas foster I have ever had! More than recommend this place! I do know that dinner time on the weekends it is packed, hence why we tried lunch today... check it out! read more

Never disappointed when I go here!!! I always start out with a nice red wine...Very good selection and my wife has the bartender make any number of their GREAT martinis. Everything is fantastic from their pizza's cooked in a wood burning oven to the stuffed pork chop. Favorite: Pizza with grapes, goat cheese and caramelized onions and a Caesar Salad If you go, make sure to get there early, around 5:00-5:30 or you will be waiting a good hr or so. read more

This place has the most amazing, perfectly cooked Sea Bass. This is the only place I've been able to find in the Dallas area (so far) that doesn't over cook the fish. They have stone oven pizza too, and some really killer deserts, but it's this Sea Bass with the berry sauce that brings us back again and again. I love this place. read more

This place is amazing! I've been here twice now. Once with my wife, and with two of my kids for Father's Day on Saturday night. This visit was embellished by a very good band playing next to the restaurant, something that happens every Friday and Saturday night in the summer in downtown Rockwall. We started with the Bruschetta sampler. Fabulous! We each had our own favorite! My daughter had the Paella and a Moscow Mule. Bar none, the Moscow Mule was the best "Mule" drink I've ever tasted. The paella was cooked perfectly, with huge shrimp hidden in savory rice with mussels. My son had the Mighty Quinn pizza, minus the hot peppers. He was blown away, and said this was the best pizza he'd ever had! There is something about prosciutto on a pizza that makes it amazing. I had the roasted Mahi Mahi, served with roasted cauliflower and a mango salsa. It was perfectly cooked, and the flavor was amazing. We ended the night with 3 desserts - bananas foster (2 thumbs up), lavender / peach cheesecake (incredible!), and tira misu (which was great, but got blown away by the other two desserts!). To top it off, our server Kaylee was great, though we think she may have fibbed to us just a bit. The service was so well done, there's no way it was her first night!
