I understand a lot of vegan foods use cashews almonds and pine nuts as substitutes but I felt like walnuts were a bit random to have in nachos that I didn't consider that dish to be nut free before ordering. Just one lady appeared to be doing it all, from working the cash register to making food. Not sure what the other 2 gals in the back area were supposed to be doing. Anyways, my sister continued to wait in the stagnant line at Luna's while I went next door to get a bagel sandwich. I wish I remembered our server's name because he was fantastic, but honestly, every person we interacted with was so friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. One of my favorite things we learned is that they're only open for a few hours each day because they spend so much time prepping everything fresh. The pasta and bread are made fresh daily, and you can absolutely taste the difference. The food has that authentic, family-recipe Italian feel that is getting harder and harder to find. I had the seafood pasta and it was to die for, and we also ordered the ribeye, which was incredible. Unfortunately, we were too busy eating to get pictures of either. We did manage to get pictures of the espresso martinis and the cheesecake because they were way too beautiful not to. The cheesecake was easily one of my favorite desserts I've had in a long time. And the panna cotta deserves its own mention. My boyfriend has been on a mission to find a new favorite ever since our old go-to restaurant stopped serving the one he loved, and I think the search is officially over. Amazing food, amazing service, beautiful drinks and desserts, and you can tell how much care goes into everything they make. 10/10 recommend. The gnocchi was flavorful and comforting, and my steak was cooked perfectly medium-rare. The restaurant is much larger than it looks from the outside, with a spacious banquet area in the back that's perfect for private parties and family celebrations. What was unforgivable, though, was the rice was old and tough, obviously left over from the previous day, and reheated in a microwave. If they're cutting corners this bad, they don't deserve to charge such exorbitant prices.
