We were on our back home and we stopped in to have dinner here and it's fantastic. Ask for Juan for your server he was very nice and helpful.

I went about 1:30 for lunch and Pedro waited on me, I ordered chicken and shrimp fajitas. I didn't ask for lunch fajitas so I was shocked at first the quality and quantity! The salsa was good and at my request they brought a bowl of chopped Cilantro to add to the already good salsa. The Fajitas- shrimp were huge and chicken pieces were huge breast slices it came sizzling with a bubbling server full of garlic butter. It was way way above the mark. This place is outstanding. A lil pricey but it's a total different level of food ! GO !!

Outstanding service, generous portions. We came for lunch (4 ppl) and experienced superb service from Erica (who said, "You can't be in America w/o Erica") so funny! She served us & entertained us. The prices were extraww22sordinarily modest. I highly recommend Zapatas. Tell your friends!

First off we are from Houston so we love Mexican food . Zapatas was a bit different for us. We tried the white queso and was not a fan of it, but it tasted different on the enchiladas. Our waitress Erica was really cool! She was very bubbly and great personality so it made our dining experience a bit fun! She brought out different types of sauce out and if I had to do over I would of went with the chili style sauce it would of been perfect on my food as far as complimentary. The atmosphere felt like I was in a club with the type of music they played totally different than a Mexican food restaurant. Overall it was not horrible, but a bit unique. If you try it out ask for Erica as your server!

Enchilada/taco lunch combo

This place was amazing! The margaritas were strong and fresh! The queso was more like fundido, not what I was expecting, but still really good! I devoured the entire cup I also got the cheese enchilada/chicken taco combo, and it did not disappoint! The enchilada sauce had so much flavor and the chicken in the taco was delicious! The bartender was so great! Friendly, personable and quick! I'll definitely be back when I'm in town!

Been coming to Zapatas for years! Food and service are always great! The black bean quesadillas are my favorite! The ranch dressing & taco salads are excellent too! Margaritas are perfect!

Zapata Enchiladas

This may be my new favorite place in this town. Everything was delicious from the salsa, which had the perfect amount of spice, to the margaritas which had the perfect amount of tequila! I had a regular house margarita, on the rocks and it was $7 and well worth it. I noticed that a lot of people in the restaurant were served their drinks in styrofoam cups and I think you get those if you order a frozen beverage. Not sure, but I'll check it out next time! I ordered the Zapata Enchiladas which were filled with steak fajita meat and served with rice and beans. $11.95 for two. They were delicious and I was stuffed! My friend had an a la carte tamale and two crispy tacos and she cleaned her plate. (So I'm assuming it must have been tasty!) Our food came out quickly and our server, which we were in the bar area in the back of the restaurant, was very attentive even if it was super busy. My only negative was the host stand. When we walked in there was no greeting, two girls just stood at the stand, staring right at me, without even smiling. I walked up and said "Hi!", and told them the number in our party and she asked for my name. She never mentioned how long the wait would be, so I had to ask her this. Again, this is minor and would definitely not stop me from returning.

Zapata's was an absolutely excellent experience all the way around! Our waiter was fantastic our food was hot delicious and the desert was to die for!

Hair

The food looked amazing tasted average until i seen a long strand of black hair in my asada. I called asked for a refund for this particular meal and the manager said absolutely not and they inspected every order (which i would be worried if they had to do that) so i took a loss on a meal that cost over 40$

Casual atmosphere and polite staff. Food was fresh and margarita was delicious! A fun place to visit if in Texarkana!

Tasty margarita!

Brenda L was the server who took my order. Per their suggestion I ordered the birria tacos which came with rice, beans, toppings and then a side of chips and salsa. The tacos were okay. I think coming from Texas I'm just used to food being more seasoned, but the meat was tender and the portions were generous. Now usually at a taco joint either the green or red salsa will be on the milder, less spicy side but here ?? If you like heat then you're in for a treat because oh my lord LOL. If you're looking for fresh, made to order food that can fill you up for less than $20 then come check them out!

I had the steak and pastor street tacos. Both were good, but I thought the pastor was better. My…read morewife's chicken tacos were good, but her beans and rice were not hot. The biggest downside of the visit were the restrooms. The smell in the men's room was atrocious. It literally almost made me vomit. I was told that the women's restroom was the same. The smell could be from the sign in the bathroom, which said to put toilet paper and paper towels in the trash, not the toilet. I hoped this was a joke, but it sure did not smell that way.

This place was recommended by the Comfort Inn we were staying at. It's a nice little 3 minute walk…read morefrom the hotel so if you like to do that vs. drive it's a good stretch before eating and after. The greeting staff were very polite and our waiter was also very nice. The restaurant looked clean and I loved their main wall mural. They have Coca~Cola as their soda service but they do not have Coke Zero so we ordered Sweet and unsweetened tea, choice was delicious the hubby said Sweet tea was on point. As I have stated several times I am a salsa snob and what they had here for salsa but red and green was not good. The chips were good! So we ordered Bob's Dip it was really good if you like yours a bit spicier then I would ask for jalapeños or cholula sauce but emphasis you want it for the dip otherwise they will bring it out later with your meal. I wanted to try something from the TaMolly's Favorites but the Bob's dip was very cheesy so we went with a Fajita Combo for two with Chicken and Beef (great price). They bring you out two of everything which was nice I didn't have to share with the hubby. No desserts or alcohol this time just wanted a calm dinner. For the two of us we spent with tip about $63.

Service was excellent and polite. Ambiance was loud, but normal for a large restaurant. Food and…read moreprices were okay. The ground beef was salty, the table salsa was way too tomato-y and really cold, which wasn't good, and the sour cream sauce didn't look pleasing but tasted okay.
