I was at the Zara store on June 20, 2020 and was in Line about 4:20pm and the manager Brie came out and said they were not allowing anymore people in the store even though a sign posted on the door stated that they close at 5pm. Many people were in line and clearly upset and began to question the manager who them cowardly decides to ruin back into the store and locked the doors. Manager behind closed doors decides to call mall security two Paul Blart - Mall security wannabe cops came and all they just said to file a complaint with mall management, which we did go over but of course they were closed. She must of called them warning them that an angry mob was going over. Her management style was unacceptable and for her to make up her own hours of business was inexcusable. Probably had a dinner date and wanted to leave. I asked other stores if they close at 430 even though it states on paper that they close at 5pm they said yes we take the last customer until 5pm read more

Awful awful awful. Waited an hour and a half to get inside the store and once I was inside there was absolutely no organization. There was one person working the register at the front so the line to check out was another 2 hours. Huge waste of time! There are random clothes EVERYWHERE. The employees and their attitudes here are HORRIBLE. They are unhelpful and very rude. I recently ordered something in this store online. I received an email stating that my order was ready for pickup. Once I arrived and seen how huge the box was I asked for a bag and the employee tells me that I have to pay 11 cents. Now, I recently was just in this store to do an exchange for another item that I purchased online and the employee had given me a bag. In fact, she recommended to throw my box away and gave me a bag. However, this employee refused to give me a bag and wanted to charge me for it instead. Not to mention how PREJUDICE the employees are! The agent told me I can drop it off at the store and they will send me the replacement. I was very clear, I want it replaced and not refund. So I'm really an Express shopper but my gf is a Zara shopper. For Christmas we lost all of our gift cards from Zara, Zumiez, Walgreens, and Garage about $550 worth of gift cards. We contacted all the above stores and received replacements from all but Zumiez. When we contacted Zara in store we were referred to a phone number which referred us to the online chat. Eventually after some time we were referred to go back in store since our gift cards were bought in store. We went back to the store and asked for the manager who happened to be Darnell (thank God) we explained our whole story to him and he asked for our receipt we gave it to him and he made a copy and got our phone number and said he would get back to us. A few weeks later Darnell called me to let me know he was able to get his boss to replace the gift cards and I had to wait for an email. A few days later I received an email to confirm a date to go in store to pick up the replacement gift cards. Finally, after 2 months we got our replacement gift cards and I have Darnell to thank bc honestly Zara's policy on gift cards is to treat them like cash, no replacement. Worst customer Service. I also work for a famous retail store and I can say from experience and treating my customers with respect and promo service this has to be the worst place to come and shop and return. I bought some boots in San Diego but we're too big when I tried them in at home here in L.A.. I lost the receipt so I called to see if they had a smaller size and do an exchange. An employee named Liz who was really helpful over the phone told me I could buy them online and I could return them and repurchase them with the credit for the ones I had. I get there and some girl with Dark hair in the kids department "helped" me out. She called her manager over walkie and that took forever. She didn't even tell me to wait to the side while a manager came, nothing. She just left me there and started ringing up other customers. He finally came She explained what I wanted to do to him and he was confused so then I explained and he said I wouldn't be able to do that because the returns have to be back stocked for 24hrs and he wouldn't guarantee them being there tomorrow when they get placed on the floor. Really? What kind of BS service is that? So then I tell him I just want store credit (for the ones I already had) and He says I can't guarantee they'll be here tomorrow. I'm....i just said I'll keep mine and get store credit for the ones without receipt. I was getting frustrated. Luckily I found my receipt as soon as I got home and I plan to go back there and return them. Also this store is a hot mess and it's hard to find an employee on the floor. No garment care whatsoever to make it accommodating to the customer. Mess everywhere. Why don't they garment care all day? It's like they leave it a hot mess until the end of the night which causes me as a customer to just walk out and shop online. Management: you need to get your employees to have better customer service and smile because that is important. Not greeting someone and just ringing them up with no smile is just kinda rude. How about " Hi! Did you find everything okay?" And wait for me to say, NO! Lol I did not. But in all seriousness... the worst. AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE from a manager. :( With my daughter in the hospital I went into this Zara with 2 shirt, tags attached w/o a receipt due to me washing it. I wanted to have her choose something in stock to exchange since she can no longer wear the shirts. The first manager completely understood. He told me to have her choose something offline and come in store to do an even exchange just for another item since she could physically no longer wear the shirt and wouldn't be able to get to the mall for a while. He said to take her time to choose since this would happen again. With not being able to go try on clothes, after a couple months she found a jacket for the even exchange price. I went in, that manager was no longer there. I was connected to the women's manager who I explained the situation to. She in return REFUSED to make the accommodation. I asked her why and she said it isnt the policy and even though the previous manager would have she would not. Her words. "I don't want to have my name attached to it" I then politely, in a flustered tone asked please for the CS service number and her name. To top it off she REFUSED TO PROVIDE HER NAME. Sadly my review is based on the same issues other reviewers have. Loooooooong lines. Which would be fine if the line was moving at a steady pace but line(s) to pay are also handling returns and/or pick ups. Some customers come in with multiple shopping bags filled with returns. I don't shop there anymore unless I'm willing to give up a few hours of my day and if I decide to take the plunge I have to mentally prepare myself. Service is mediocre, depends on who helps you. I've received great service and horrible service. It's a gamble. Too bad because this location does have a great selection of inventory. I agree with other reviewers there should be a seperate counter strictly for pickups and returns. That would cut down on the wait time and length of the line considerably. read more

You have to wait in line to get in which is fine that part I understand it's for everyones safety. But there is even a long line that goes all the way to the back of the store and people are not even maintaining the 6 feet in line. With only two cashiers! Horrible not only for the customers but the two cashiers that are trying to work fast to get the line down. This Zara was fantastic! The staff here is great! I needed help finding an outfit for my trip to New York. They helped me out so much, especially this one worker named Daisy. She took her time to find me the perfect pants. And she helped me out the most perfect outfit for New York. I'm so Excited to wear it. She helped me pick out boots as well that went perfectly went perfectly with my outfit. It was so sweet of of her. I really appreciated her. Very thankful. read more

Shopping during COVID has been great until I stepped into Cerritos Zara. Very unorganized and not social distant from one another. To many people in the store at a time making for a long line. Managers did not care. Had to wait in a line outside to get in which is fine then come in to find out the line to checkout was from the back to the front of the store. I love Zara clothing overall. The cashier LIZ shouted at my 75 year old mother and I when we were looking at the fragrances while we were in line "YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO OPEN THOSE!" We were checking if the boxes had not been previously opened as we were planning to purchase 2 of the fragrances. She humiliated us in front of other customers in line by her ASSUMPTION and shouting! She was RUDE and did not greet us when we finally got to the register. And did NOT say thank you or offer any apology for her shouting at us! She had the worst attitude towards us. This review probably won't do any difference as I see other reviews not being answered by their management. But hope it helps the consumers be aware when going into this location. Majority of the staff is rude and blunt. Numerous times I've overheard staff talking badly about customers amongst themselves at the registers or near the fitting rooms. There is absolutely no urgency to deliver customer service nor to keep their floors organized and clean. Tiktok is the only reason they make sales, otherwise horrible experience every time coming into this location's store. It's ridiculous I had to wait 45 minutes in a line of 10 people to do a return when they had 4 registers all open. I ordered a headband online for in store pick up! The headband arrived with several jewels missing. I was certainly upset because i really want the headband. The first girl who was helping me was nice and actually found another headband in better condition for me to exchange however it was snagged. The material was black satin so in my opinion it was still damaged. So i decided to return it. She walked me to the main area of the store and near the manager i guess to explain the situation to him. She came back to me and said ok you can stand in line here. The line was at least 20 people long. I said i do not want to stand in a long line which is why i ordered online the fact that my product is damaged is not my fault, if it wasn't i would not be returning. She said ok you can speak to the manager. I went to him and him without any care he said that's the policy! THIS IS WHY MOST PEOPLE SHOP ONLINE!!!!!! HE NEVER THOUGHT OH OK I CAN TAKE YOU TO MENS SIDE AND DO THE RETURN SINCE THIS INCONVENIENCE IS ZARA's FAULT!!' I'm wondering if Yelp reviews by customers are even taken seriously by Zara's corporate office , or if it's just to make customers presume corporate cares about their shopping experience at all. On the several times I have been here , the cashiers remove clothes from hangers and just roll up your new purchased clothes like they are dirty disposable rags . Oh, and they seem to enjoy having the privilege. On top of that, the cashiers don't even seem to want to be there. They seem to just want to shove your items to you and get rid of you . Their demeanor is not just flagrant but obnoxious . Do they really need to have a reason at all for that...nope! because it's a privilege . The ten cents for the shopping bag after spending a good amount of money to shop for clothes ...? Hmmm... maybe the intent is to reduce paper use and create less trash for the environment . Quite honestly , it might be a blessing in disguise as people are using shopping bags from other retailers and promoting them instead. Maybe the intent is good, but really it's insulting when employees don't appreciate or show better regard to customers. It seems as if the Cerritos Mall is really up and coming with the new Nordstrom and other luxury type boutiques entering this mall. They recently opened this Zara store and I was pleasantly surprised. They do have nice clothes for men and women, but the selection ins quite lacking. There is some selection but not a whole lot. The customer service is hit or miss, and it caters more for females instead of males. It is nothing like the huge store in South Coast Plaza or the monster store at the Grove. However, its a decent place to get your fix for Zara clothing. Other customers have said they sometimes display clothes that they don't sell or they run out of, so be careful when you shop here. You will find a few hidden gems, but I hope they get more clothes and a better selection! read more
