Just like everyone else is saying here, the customer service at this location is terrible. I went in to return a shirt I bought on my credit card and was told they won't do returns or store credits unless you have the receipt, that their system is unable to look up prior purchases on your card. No one told me this when I purchased the shirt and I was not offered a digital receipt. It would be one thing if the employees were nice and understanding, but they were complete assholes about it, even the manager. Zara is a dime-a-dozen store in terms of style and price. On top of that, brick and mortar retail is failing. Good luck Zara. read more

Unprofessional horrible customer service. I have shopped at Zara Online for years & supported this store before, during, & after the pandemic. Recently I have been sent clothes that were noticeably defective or previously worn & used. Strange that their Quality Control would allow used & unsanitary clothes be sent out during the pandemic. What's worse is when I went into their SF Post store to return the item I was met with a rude guy who identified himself Josh "women's dept manager". Instead of apologizing for the defective item, I was treated like I had stolen it. I could not believe it. If I wanted used or defective clothes, I would shop at the Goodwill! Josh refused to give me store credit & stated Zara's store has nothing to do with the Online Zara store & that as a FAVOR to the Online Zara store they help out with returns. That is a blatant bold face lie. I had a Gift Receipt & Josh would not honor that. Josh demanded I have the $$ go back into my account which would take 7-14 days. TBH Josh was dressed like he shops at Goodwill. I am baffled at the shadiness & poor business practice this store exhibits. As you can see from my profile, I don't give less than 5 stars. I am usually able to resolve unfortunate situations with businesses​ that I frequent. In this case, Zara was unwilling to work with me on a faulty coat. Without boring you with too many details, I purchased a trench coat and the inner lining completely shredded. They would not exchange, refund or offer compensation of any sort. I explained that this was the second Zara coat that I've had problems with and they weren't able to help me with the first one either. I tried to insist and my attempt was futile. My only option is to stop shopping at Zara which makes me sad and mad. Their styles are cute but they offer zero in the customer care department. I am literally throwing hundreds of dollars away (2 coats) and will not be taken advantage of again. It's truly their loss as I've been shopping there for well over 10 years. 4/13/2017 an update. For the last several weeks I have argued my case with Zara's HQ. They finally relented and offered me an exchange for the current sale price of the coat. $19.99 since I'd rather give zero stars I'm going to dedicate the one star to Elena at the store. This store is one of favorite, I always come here because the great service from this young hard worker they always attentive to provide service. But yesterday feb 6 I was doing line ready to pay for my coat, I hear one employee was asking to his or her coworker in Spanish to find something, I guess from the storage. And after they done the communication, another coworker ( lady ) She started yelling at them to speak English. She repeated "English only". That's outraged I do not tolerate hearing that kind of racism or discrimination in my presence. Nobody should prevent you from speaking your language much less in the usa and california. I hope the manager takes this seriously and does not let this happen again. I reported this to the cashier and she gave me an expression that it was not the first time that this employee did this unacceptable behavior. read more

Thumbs down! More than one levels at the store but only the fitting rooms upstairs were opened. It was the weekend, the store was super packed, and I was in no mood to stand in line for over 30 minutes just to try on a few items that I could've easily order online with free shipping. My cousin and I both left the store empty handed NOT because we didn't find anything cute that we liked, but simply because we were super starving already and we both would've passed out in line at the fitting room! Don't get me wrong--I LOVE Zara, but people in this branch are rude and don't care to help you. They take their time making jokes amongst themselves instead of focusing on your time that they're wasting. I'm a shopaholic and I have been a loyal customer to Zara ever since. Ive alwaya had a pleasant experience at Zara and honestly ive shopped there 2-3 times every two weeks. The only reason im not giving one star is because of jordan/ jordie who always makes it easy for me to pick up my online packages. It was my first time to do a return on this really cute romper (but sadly the fit is too big and they didnt have the XS available), i approached a girl and said she could give me store credit since i have my reciept. SO THERE I WAS SPENDING 2 TWO HOURS choosing a cute item. Finally i go back and the cashier rang me up and i explained that i have already discussed my store credit with the other associate and She was looking and giving me some A T T I T U D E. She called her manager and they explained why i couldnt do a return without my card (forgot to mention- my card was stolen a few days back). I understood but i wanted to let her know that the associate who told me that i can get store credit told me other wise. She started rolling her eyes and telling me that i cant do the return!! Uhnmn i know but i just said so for other customers dont experience this incovenience... Afterwards i just let jt go and continue to buy my items anyways since i wasted hours in the store not getting my store credit back. My cousin got rung up afterwards. Layout This place is split into 2 floors. The top floor is for the women's. The bottom floor is for the Mens. I love the simplicity of this store, simple layout and lots of walk space and limited quantity to make the place more visible to items on display and more clean. Nice lighting inside as well along with a nice couch for non shoppers too. Display Very simple and limited. They usually have one size for each item on display, so it does make it limited. Loved how clothes and accesories is usually organized through out the store and price labeled clearly on all items. They have an area with suits, ties, shoes, modern clothes, casual clothes, and beach wear depending on the season. Clothes love the material of the clothing. Some of the clothing uses high end materials. most of the items i got last through the season with multiple washes. The clothing looks classy and in style. Most clothes here are more fashion forward and have a statement to it. They are usually a bit pricy. The price range is usually 29 59 79 99 or 129 to 199 or 249 is the highest i saw before. Shoes Love the shoes. I got a few pair of the dress shoes. They are great qualities and they do look expensive too. I love how the styles are usually similar to the high end shoes with a little bit of alter on it. Also they are usually under 100 or around 100 for a pair of shoes. The shoes that uses high end material such as suede or real leather, do costs more. Also like how they have a shoe rack by the fitting rooms for display and some displaying under the shelves where clothes are hang at. Also i like how they put an outfit together and hung on display and have a shoe under the outfit, to show you how to wear it for example. Bag Love the stylish bags they have. Awesome designs and simple and great for everyday uses. i usually wait til they have a semi sale on bags and then they become 50% off. I also like how they display it throughout the whole bottom floor on the shelves to display them bags. The lighting in the store shining on the bags make them look even better. Fitting room The fitting room do have a nice mirror to check yourself out or even a selfie. Nice lighting inside and does show details on clothes much clearer. Also it is small and can be crowded with multiple items. Location it is right by union square and other high end stores which is convenient. Also walkable to china town as well. Overall i love the simplicity of this store and clothes are comfortable and good quality. Always find something nice in here and do enjoy the walk through and shopping experience. Oh Zara. Zara. Zara. Zara. You are a worldwide company that needs to figure out a more cohesive and efficient way to do a simple RETURN! For goodness sakes, I can go to Target to do a return without a receipt by using the credit card I made the purchase with. I was directed to call customer service after waiting in line for 40 minutes with the perfect exchange, but not even an exchange could be made. The store manager was exasperated with customers from all angles coming at her with similar concerns at which point I could see she wasn't even listening anymore. My husband made a purchase at the Fashion Place store in Murray UT but because they had their dressing rooms closed on Black Friday, he was unable to see what size fit best. He got two sizes but somewhere between UT and CA, he lost the receipt. Being the loving wife I am thought, no biggie, no receipt, I'll just do an exchange. Nope, no can do. Now I am waiting for Zara to find my record of transaction. Isn't that a waste of man power? Wouldn't it be more feasible to have a more efficient way to make a simple return or exchange than all the phone calls, researching, and customer dissatisfaction? Call Target Zara, they can help you. Super unhelpful and rude staff, though there are some who are not unpleasant, but it's a delightful surprise when that's the case. Dressing rooms are genuinely disgusting (huge dust bunnies, balls of hair from all parts of the body, smeared and dried misc. liquids, etc.). I guess with the prices they typically have though, you're not going there for the experience. In fact, I only manage to go here despite any experience I've had, not sure how much longer I can keep it up. Both the fitting room and cashier on the second floor are never open. Long lines and wait for both lines downstairs. Also, most of the stuff here is damaged or soiled with makeup on the necklines or dirty. They told me to buy the jacket and shirt I wanted online and put the damaged goods back on the floor. Whether your shopping in Vegas or Cali I've never known Zara for their customer service even though I am hopeful that one of these days they might actually provide it. I came here to find a jacket for my hubby while visiting SF and I had no such luck. The mens department looked pretty small and mostly picked through. I'm assuming they just had a sale, which makes sense that it would look kinda empty. As I continued my search for a jacket I saw a fedora that I thought my hub would like and I bought it. I would have liked to do more shopping but due to the lack of apparel I went home with just a hat this time. Overall I think the prices are good for the quality of goods your getting. In the past I've never had any issue with quality and it's Zara's unique items that keep me coming back. The main downside shopping at Zara is their universal inability to provide customer service at any level, let alone a greeting or smile. This is the main reason why Zara is not my first choice in shopping but I still find my way there from time to time. A this point I can only hope that things improve concerning customer service. read more

Great selection of clothes for men. Quality seems questionable on some pieces, but the prices are low. Zara is known for two things: fast turnaround on new trends and frequently changing inventory. So if you don't see something this week, try back in a few weeks and the store should be very different. Today I picked up two t-shirts each costing about $25. Most of the cuts were designed for slim guys. The staff was really helpful and friendly (they were almost trying too hard). Kinks are still being worked out, the lower level temperature was around 80 degrees - but I'm sure they'll get that fixed. read more

This is my favorite Zara's location in the Bay Area probably because it's the largest and most organized. It also helps that they always have the best deals and sales here too. While they just opened a location at Valley Fair, I feel that they have a larger selection for everyone here. I love the clothes at Zara for their style, fashion, and quality. You get what you pay for so don't skimp on your coats and blazers and get them here. Note: since its SF, don't forget to bring your residuals bag or be prepared to purchase one when you check out. read more

Reading these reviews- I should have known better. I ordered items to ship to store for pick up. I ordered multiple times, 9 orders, 18 items. I took pictures of all the orders ready for pick up and went to the store. The rep that helped me was nice, grabbed my items, didn't have an issue with me opening all my packages to make sure I received everything. I counted 17 items, found that one order of one item was missing. Rep told me she grabbed everything from the back and that it was all there and that the last item was delayed. She told me I can check the following day to see if it had come in. I go home (which is across the bridge), and check my Zara account. ALL THE ITEMS WERE MARKED AS DELIVERED. I immediately chat with customer service and they put in a ticket. I get a call today from Pierre who says I cannot be refunded because the order was marked as delivered, aka picked up by someone. I tell him my story, that I didn't pick it, that I told the rep I was missing an item and she assured me it was pending. I didn't sign for anything- but per Pierre, this is not required. Apparently, he thinks someone picked up this one item on the same day as I picked up my other items, as if someone would drive across the bridge, pay $6 toll, to pick up a $4 item. It's more likely that Zara made an error- either the item is still back there, they gave it to someone else, or it was never packed in the packages I received since they condensed my 9 orders into 4 packages. But yenno, Zara thinks their sh*t don't stink and it's the customer's fault. I disputed this with Amex and they refunded me right away, knowing that I wouldn't lie about a $4 item after spending $400. I have orders at other Zara stores and will now refuse to leave without all items marked as ready OR document the name and exact words of the person who reports it's "delayed". Sorry for the length, but this is fresh and I'm livid. Moral of the story: don't trust Zara. After this, will not be ordering from them anymore. read more

Selection is good but the dressing rooms and general Store cleanliness are disgusting. HUGE Dust BUNNIES EVERYWHERE...on the floor, on the benches, in the recessed lights, on the tops of the dressing room Walls. Totally sucks when you find the perfect white blouse only to ruin it by trying it on and getting dirt and grime on it from the dressing room!! No one seems to care about the level of gross otherwise it would've been addressed by now and this level of filth takes a long time to build up. Fun fact-- great sale going on currently but not really worth the burden of nasty attitudes and long lines. So I don't care to name names and seeing this chick's attitude, I doubt she'll give me her name anyway. But she's around 5' - 5'2" with brunette hair, heavy makeup, and is at the left register today near the main entrance around 10 AM, and reeks of attitude. You'll know if you see her. Anyway, I came by for a price adjustment because the shirt I bought had AT LEAST 3 stickers on them, and the final one was $7.99 and it turns out Zara charged me $17.90. As soon as I told her the reason I came in, she cut me off and said "we don't do price adjustments." Side note - I used to work in retail too, Ann Taylor, Michael Kors, and A&F (back in it's heyday glory) so it's not like I haven't been in her shoes. I'm not a difficult person to deal with by nature so I'm abhorred to see some crappy treatment when I clearly didn't do anything wrong. Hey maybe, y'all should pay attention to when you're sticking labels on your price tags. JUST SAYING. Anyway, I gave this rude af chick some "advice" if you will. I responded like "well, I want to return this top, and then re-purchase it for this price." She told me to step aside to talk to her manager while she can ring up other customers. I was understanding when the store was a mess, no one offered to assist and the fitting room attendant who initially allowed my partner (in a unisex fitting room) kicked him out when he tried to help with a zipper, but when a dress was damaged and two associates attempted to repair and couldn't sent me to the register to order. When I tried to order it was not available in store, in another store or online and refused to offer a discount even though I was ready to purchase and repair. Okay. I need to update this once more. I had bought one coat for myself and one for my cousin, however she didn't like it so I had to return hers. I took my coat back as well to check if they had a size small in stock (they didn't have one at the time I bought mine so I ended up with a M). So I went in with the two coats both with their tags on still. I wanted to return one and hopefully find a small in the other. I didn't find a small size in the coat that I bought for myself, but I liked it so much that I decided I would keep it. I noticed that the price tag on it went down from $90 to $70 on the rack. They no longer had my coat size in stock, but I thought I could get the price adjusted since I hadn't worn it yet. I was wrong! Nope, cannot adjust the price. I asked if I could return it then buy it again. Nope! They gave me some lame answer about how the coat wouldn't be back on the rack until a few days later. Gah. So I just returned my cousin's coat and kept mine. And now that I've cut the tag off to wear it out, I've realized that it's too big for me and I really should've gotten a small or not gotten one at all. Oh well! read more

Zara is one of my fave stores in the DC metro area (where I live). I was in San Francisco for a day, after my lovely HI trip, to hang out with my West Coast family. My sister-in-law doesn't miss an excuse to shop, so I found myself near this Zara. Yes!! Wouldn't you know it, a sale was going on. Zara is funny during sales. LOTS of people wandering about, hoping to get great deals on clothes that I think are SO cute, trendy, detailed, etc. I found myself being one of those people this day. They had 2 jackets I wanted, in my size, which were sold out at my DC Zara. I even found an awesome lace and knitted sweater for the low price of $29.99. Hello. This may sound weird, but I felt that this Zara was more friendly/comfortable than the DC one I frequent. I mean, customers AND staff seemed really friendly and they even opened up a new register as soon as they saw that the line was moving slowly at the main register. Kewl.
