**DO NOT SHOP HERE** *** I WAS BANNED FROM ENTERING THE STORE BECAUSE I REQUESTED A REFUND *** Managemnt Customer Service is the worst. Worst shopping experience I've ever encountered. yesenia gaspar is the most unprofessional manager I have ever had to deal with. I purchased a shirt at Zara South Coast Plaza yesterday (Sunday). I went to Del Amo with my receipt and tags attached to exchange the size today. When the cashier rung up the shirt she said that there's a $0.40 difference. Why should I have to pay the tax difference when it was an item exchange not a money exchange. I should not have to pay the difference when I'm not exchanging the same item. I have never had that experience before so I requested to speak to the manager. It seemed criminal since they already made the sale yesterday. Why treat an even exchange as a new sale made in Los Angeles County. What a turn-and-rip-off. She came out with an attitude with her hands on her hips and shaking her head all upset that we were asking about the $0.40 difference for something we weren't even making a purchase on, since it was an even exchange. She basically said if we don't like it we can leave and exchange the shirt at another store and tossed the bag to our direction. Yensenia became even more upset that we were mocking her jesters. She is so rude, condensing, and so far from professional. It has to be illegal to refuse a refund when I'm abiding their return and store policy. How dare she. She took the question of the tax difference so personal and became so defensive to where she refused to serve me or issue a refund. I go back home drop my daughter off home. To go back to be escorted into the store by mall security to get my refund. I got it!!! But not without her being aggregated I was back to get it. She approached the mall security as though they were there because Zara asked them to be. She again had the same horrible attitude. Which they were witness to. Oh yeah, I'm banned for entering "her" store. Why? Because I asked a question and then was refused a refund. No where in their policy does it state, the right to refuse service. She made this whole refund personal. No even exchange / swap should affect the taxes. I will never shop at a Zara again at any location. Don't let them bully you here. How pathetic, look at all the other reviews that have had issues here. I filed a complaint with Mall Guest Services, which will go to the General Manager. Went in to exchange 3 pairs of shorts I bought online for the EXACT style just a smaller size. The staff helped me get the smaller size for 2 out of the 3 because they didn't have one in stock (not a problem) I go to the checkout line to exchange the 2 shorts and the girl takes the shorts I purchased online, rings up the new ones and tells me what I owe. I told her I wanted an even exchange. She tells me, "we can't do that cause you purchased these online." I've never heard that before. So I tell her give me the shorts I purchased back, and I'll do the exchange online. She calls her manager to reverse what she did and he says, we can't. I'm starting to get annoyed. She explains to him what I was trying to do and he tells her, she can exchange as long as it's the same items, but then looks at me and tells me they can no longer do the exchange cause they already processed the return for the shorts I purchased!! The cashier gives me a half ass apology and had a stank attitude the whole time!! I'm beyond annoyed and pissed off!! Now have to wait 7-10 business days for my refund. I am totally disappointed with the rigidity of Zara's return policy. I attempted to return a white blazer around noontime today, still with tags on, that I bought last week from the Del Amo store as the item was just too loose. The cashier advised that since there's no receipt, the best she can do was exchange the item for another size. She checked the inventory but the store did not have a size small and referred me to the Oaks store, which is 30 miles away. I told her that it's too far and too inconvenient. I requested for a store credit instead but she refused and gave me the customer service number to battle it out. The cashier was totally unconcerned and indifferent, just doing her job I suppose. I called the customer service number and was flatly refused. At this day and age of technology, the cashier could have easily tracked down the transaction from the attached tags. Additionally, businesses tend to pride themselves with customer service and a simple store credit, at the very least, could have satisfied this customer. I went to the store to return a pair of boots my girlfriend got and were too small for her. The manager made it look like I was lying and kept saying the boots were used! The boots had tags on them (how can someone walk around with tags on theirs boots?) Is this a joke? He went out of his way to get all the boots he had in display and compare them . I told him to exchange the boots for a bigger size and again he said No! Will never go back to this location the manager is so unprofessional .. then had to drive to the grove and got treated the right way and was able to exchange boots with no troubles! read more

Horrible customer service. I walked in with what was clearly a gift bag (right after Christmas) with a receipt and tags still on a jacket. I assumed it was a gift receipt as it was with my gift. The sales person didn't bother asking me how I wanted the return done or if it was a gift I wanted to exchange, etc and instead put it back on the credit card of person who bought it for me (even though I just asked him to throw away the tissue paper and gift bag). He said there wasn't anything he could do to reverse it. This is a bold face lie as I am a business owner myself and I know you can void out transactions the same day. I asked for a manager and he could care less about helping the situation. All of this could have been avoided if the worker wasn't being lazy and would have told me up front I wouldn't be getting a credit or cash for my gift. I'm disgusted with the service they have at this store especially their manager named VALERIA. I just went (Sunday December 26 @ 4:14 pm) I kindly asked a gentleman in the fitting if the fitting rooms were open. He told me they weren't, i thereafter said "oh that's terrible" and walked away. As I'm walking away a woman employee (who I later found out was the manager named Valeria, wearing a white top and black shorts makes a comment about me, I walked back and said "excuse me what did you say to me?" She responses with "you heard me" (which is super unprofessional and a disgusting thing to say to a paying customer). I responded by saying, "no, I didn't, what did you say to me". She then said, "you know what's terrible, people not respecting it's a pandemic". I simply responded with the truth and said "I understand it's a pandemic, I'm wearing my mask, the reason I asked for the fitting room is because other Zara's I've gone to have had the fitting rooms open". I continued by saying that is no way of practicing CUSTOMER SERVICE, as I in no way shape or form was disrespectful. A manager should never talked back to a customer especially in the hard nasty tone of voice she did to me as her other employees in the fitting room starred at me. When I went to the front and asked for a manager, the lady at the register informed me VALERIA, the same women who spoke to me disrespectfully was the manager. This store is one of the better locations, it's decked out prettier and more organized looking. However, the sales people who work here are incompetent. Or at least the ones I came across. I had to explain to the sales person three times what I needed done because she kept doing it incorrectly. It was a simple exchange, you don't have my size available, fine give me store credit. Yet she still tried to charge me for something else that I bought instead of forwarding that balance towards store credit. Extremely disappointed with the customer service & will not be purchasing any items from this store. This is a hard review to give because I honestly shop here all the time. I love Zara's fashion pieces and for the most part the price reflects the quality. This one in particular always has a wide variety of product and does a good job of splitting up the trends. Also I will give props to whoever does their window displays! So I give them 3 stars for the fashion. However if you are looking for great customer service and employees who care, this just is not the store for you. On more than one occasion I have had employees roll their eyes at me, ignore me, say they would try to find something for me and then they just don't. The most recent time in was with my fiance and we were shopping in Mens. Of course the Mens cashwrap was closed so we went to kids(multiple employees at this register) they tell us it's closed and we would have to go downstairs. We go downstairs and there is about 30 people already in line and one poor employee trying to ring everyone up. Seriously guys? It's 7:00pm on a Friday night... Not exactly closing time and everyone upstairs is just standing around. I've worked in retail for over 15 years and this is just so rude. For the people waiting AND for the only employee trying to take care of everyone. I mean seriously I felt bad for him. Get your stuff together Zara. Very poor customer service! Had to exchange an item and had the receipt but would not allow me to get it exchanged for the same price I paid for cuz apparently it was already on sale racks.. If I paid for the item and still have the receipt, why would I not be allowed to exchange it for the same price?! Rude managers on any floors! Horrible customer service. I came in on a Tuesday around 4pm, not busy at all. I saw a top that I liked on a mannequin, when I asked a sales associate (who was doing go backs) where I could find that item he simply said "I'm not sure" didn't offer to help me find it, or lead me to someone who could help me. He just gave me this look that made me feel like I was bothering him and extremely uncomfortable. I bought shoes, lost the receipt (which is my fault).. wanted the same shoes but smaller (apparently does not carry size 7 shoes) only 6 1/2 then it jumps to 8!!!! The shoes were nowhere to be found online and were only in store in Pomona which super far and isn't worth what I paid for the shoes. Anyways , The manager at the store was no help at all, she wouldn't even have another store transfer / ship the pair they have. She wouldn't give me store credit or let me exchange it for anything else that the same price. I understand that the policy changed, but what do you do when you can't exchange it for the same item but a difference size because it's simply not available. Do I just eat the cost?!? We went in yesterday to try and find some clothes for my husband who is super skinny. We found quite a few! Unfortunately, they didn't have the blazer we liked in my husband's size. We asked the staff and they looked it and told us the Zara in Santa Monica had it. We went to Santa Monica and got the typical "we need the reference number" line. Frustrated, we called this Zara and they helped get us the reference number so we could locate the item. So...definitely going to this Zara store over the one in Santa Monica. Unfortunately, Zara has a culture that does not value any level of customer service and the Torrance location is the perfect example. No one greets you, asks to start a room for you or shows any sense that they value your business. In fact, you're really a nuisance to them! The worst was when I walked out of my room wearing their garment to ask the gal in the dressing room if she could grab me a smaller size. The garment was loose, exposing more than I would want the public to see, told her where to find the top (clearly I was not walking out like that) and she said, 'well then, do you want to go an get it yourself?' OK, I can, but all my stuff is in the dressing room - can you watch my stuff while I walk the floor? She walked over looked at my room, then walked away. Yep, perfect she was totally going to keep an eye on my belongings...Right! When I mentioned it to the manager, Stephanie, it was like she was reading off of a manager playbook. At one point, glancing down at her tablet to do something else. Shop there knowing you will not get any help because they do not care about customers! They have really cute clothes and most of my clothes are from Zara, I come into this location most of the time since it's closer to where I live but the service here really needs an upgrade. I placed an online order which I never received. I tracked my order via UPS and it was supposably delivered to my doorstep. I called Zara multiple times and they would not credit my account. Luckily I had charged my order through American Express which took care of the charge and credited my account. I always come here and spend over $300 at a time it seems like the men's section is always closed to pay. When I have to pay on the children's a side they always seem to not know how to greet customers or even be friendly. I used to love coming to this store but this last time I was there I had such a bad experience with one of the workers (Ilene). I came to return a few items I had purchased and while I was at the register I could already tell the she had such a bad attitude she was not friendly at all!!! Towards the end of the return I asked a question about the payment refund and the worker was so rude and unhelpful and said some mean words that I felt were so inappropriate to say to a customer. I mean come on your working in retail and to treat customers that way is inappropriate, she looked miserable working there i mean if your unhappy look for another job! why work in an environment where you have to deal with people daily. Just want to let everyone know that ZARA is the WORST company I've ever dealt with and I'll never shop there again. I ordered 15 items a couple weeks ago and only received 10 of them. When I called to let them know they took a few days to look into it, and just called me back saying my case is closed and they show on their end that the shipment shipped complete. So, I'm basically out of luck. This is the worst customer service experience I've ever had. So, I basically just threw money away on clothes that I'll never see. I asked if there was someone else I could speak to and he kept telling me my case was closed and there was nothing they could do. And they weren't willing to let me purchase it and replace it with a mother size that they clearly had in stock. They offered to order it and have it shipped to the store. What!! Shopping for Christmas gifts is always exciting . . . exchanging them after Christmas can be a bit stressful. I had taken a picture of the dress and top I wanted my daughter to see before I made the exchange and my text wasn't delivered. Fortunately, Zara has a wonderful security guard, Maria Sol, who offered to assist me. I couldn't take my selections out of the store before purchasing them and Dear Maria offered to hold them for me. I walked around the mall and still no service. When I returned to the store, Maria offered to take a screen shot of my selections and send them to my daughter using her phone. Voila!! Success!! Maria was so kind, efficient, patient and helpful. More Marias are needed and I complement her for her assistance. I'll be back!!! read more

Is there a ZERO star option for this Store? First off, Zara is my top brands among others. Came here after the crazy Black Friday coz it's the nearest store from home. Shocked & disappointment is what approached me, 2 Asian male associates were inside the store, been in for about 5 mins, not that i want to be recognized but not even a Hi or Welcome like other stores do, they were just doing their own thing, pass u by like no one is around and I'm like 'am i invisible?' I was looking for my size and it's so obvious that i needed service but they don't f***ing care, instead i had to approached one of them. Full on attitude, so i dropped the clothes and walked away, UPSET SOOOO DISAPPOINTED! Went home to do cyber Monday instead. Ordered Zara online, unfortunately only that same mall from my house is giving me the option for a free shipping store pick up. So i did placed my order, hoping this time to get a good service. Got couple emails that orders been shipped and another email that my order is ready for pick up. So excited. Today I arrived at the mall, went in the store and One associate name DARNEL tall dark was at the counter, as soon as He saw me walked in he walk away and went to the back, before He even get to grab the door i said ' excuse me, i am suppose to pick up my order' he replied while walking 'ONE SEC' and go to their office or so, i waited for him to come back. i was so mad . As soon as he is back, i told him this is the worst Zara store I've ever been in. Couple different times and different sales has the same training attitudes. I completely appalled by the behavior this fine retail establishment that I found I had such a good experience I thought I had. The employees here are so rude and probably nearly a pound of racist. I don't know why Zara employee here think they are way better than the customers. I work in retail myself and giving customer service is always 100% required on the floor. It's really retail basics 101. Don't you get taught that when they hire you! When I'm shopping I shouldn't be getting dirty looks from the employees. I'm not sure if it's the pride that they think they have by being a Zara employee, but they need a serious reality check. Have to registers on top level with employees there standing behind register, but you are told you have to pay down stairs. Such an inconvenience. Terrible customer service at this store; just terrible the morale & service SUCKS...my daughter and I came into the store looking for an outfit for graduation. As we looked around, we both noticed that not one of the sales staff greeted anyone. Not even us. I saw at least 5 staff members and they all look like they hated being on the clock. Literally walking pass my daughter and I without speaking or asking if we needed help. I took my time looking at a few more pieces and wanted to try on what I found. The staff were more concerned about nails and other non related stuff (talking to one another) rather than properly assisting customers. There was no initiative to properly checking stock, calling another store, merely showing some kind of concern for shopper.
